  • Fantastic Fleetwood Mac

by CrRockers on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was everything I had hoped for. I've been a Fleetwood Mac fan since early Buckingham and Nicks, and I can tell you without a doubt this concert was fantastic. We had 7th row seats on the floor, to the right of the stage.Just as the lights went down for the show, one of the floor managers came over and asked us if we wanted to stand right in front of the stage, and well as you can imagine you did'nt have to ask us twice. When I refer to us (myself 49, husband 51, son 24 and daughter 22), we all had a awesome time. We stood in front of Lindsay and he played his heart out, I feel people really over look his talent on the guitar, he is a fantastic soloist. Although they had to cancel two shows before ours because of Stevie not feeling well, she was great!!!, she really belted out all our favorite tunes and even a new one I hadn't heard before (Storms). Mick Fleetwood is amazing on the drums and what a character, John Mcvie was a quiet presence on the stage, but a great guitar player also. Over all I would tell everyone if you can get tickets to see Fleetwood Mac do it!!. This was an experience my family won't soon forget. And to top off the night Lindsay gave me one of his guitar picks before he left the stage. We love Fleetwood Mac, and feel very lucky that we were able to attend the concert, as I doubt we will ever really get that chance again.

  • Danced all night

by Gerymia on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I grew up listening to Fleetwood Mac and at the age of 44 I finally was able to see them live. I was not disappointed, they played every song I wanted to hear. I would love to see them at the Commodore Ball Room in Vancouver.

  • Fleetwood Mac was a great concert

by Kath on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Our friends came from out of town and we really enjoyed the concert. They played a lot of the old songs which I grew up listening to - it was great. Would recommend it as a must see.

  • Fleetwood Mac - great band!

by Oldiesgal on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The group was very energetic and entertaining. Lindsay Buckingham stole the show with his incredible singing. You could just tell that he was having the time of his life. Stevie Nicks was good but it was a shame that she was recovering from a cough as she wasn't able to hit those awesome high notes on her songs. Nonetheless, I was happy that they didn't cancel their show. I'm sure that the earlier part of this tour was just amazing when Stevie was in good health.

  • Fleetwood Mac a let down

by bossman on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

Generally an alright show . Stevie came across as self indulgent,Lindsey stole the show and John and Mic were solid as always. Just a best of tour. The video was way better. Ticket prices were to expensive for what you got. "Always leave em wanting more?" I've had enough with comeback tours.I'll spend my money on up and coming artists who really want to make it . Not those that had it and lost it.

  • Fleetwood Mac was outstanding

by Doreen on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I have loved Fleetwood Mac since I was a kid and have enjoyed every song they have ever released. During the concert, I teared for the first five songs and was in complete awe throughout the entire concert. Fleetwood Mac has always been and will continue to be my favorite band of all time.

The music was great! The only thing was when they plan the stage set up all the fans should be able to see the big screen and all the band mates. There was this big c shaped thing above the stage that moved when needed it blocked a lot of fans sight line. Not everyone can get the seats they want there fore we should still be able to see and enjoy as much as the luckier fans.

  • Fleetwood Mac Surpasses Expectations!!

by chatmaster on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I grew up listening to Fleetwood Mac. We are huge fans but you never know what a live performance might present. Well, they truly surpassed our expectations! They played every song we wanted to hear and played it incredibly. There were several "goosebump"moments.

  • Longtime coming!

by Maureen on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

Rumours was my favourite album in the 70's and I was very keen to see Fleetwood Mac for the 1st time ever in concert. The first thing I noticed was how LOUD it was!! I was not prepared and it took me a little time to adjust to the intensity as the bass blasting against my chest and the giant sound assaulting my tiny ears. I did enjoy the evening but must admit that there was something missing (Christine McVie)!! Their voices are still great altho the range is not what it was. It was a very enjoyable evening with lots of the old songs I knew so well.

  • Waited a long time to see them.

    by JLH1985 on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

I have a top 5 list of all time bands/musical acts I want to see in my lifetime before I die. Fleetwood Mac was one of them. I found it was a mediocre performance. Stevie Nick's energy seemed very low which didn't mesh well with the rest of the band. The rest of the band including Lindsay was amazing. You could tell they wanted to be there. It seemed like they had been bottled up for the past few years and needed to get out and perform. They are the reason I wanted to see Fleetwood Mac. Stevie kept walking off stage during songs when "her" part of songs were over which I thought was dis-tasteful. I did enjoy myself though and was happy to hear the hits live atleast one of my lifetime.

they were really quite good except for the fact that you could tell that Stevie Nicks was still sick and it was in her voice that she was.

5 stars for Lindsey Buckingham ,otherwise not what I remember from years gone past. Stevie Nicks was flat!

  • Absolutely Fantastic

by Sparky on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I have been to so many concerts but none where the entire audience was up on their feet dancing to every single song all night long. Stevie was amazing, the solos were outstanding, truley the best concert I have seen in a very very long time.

  • Totally AWESOME Fleetwood Mac

by weelass on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I was so totally impressed with this concert from beginning to end. The energy was endless and I was in awe of Lindsay Buckingham's...he could give some to the energizer bunny. The only disappointment for me was in a couple of songs that really miss the other female voice as the soprano part of the harmony, such as in Say You Love Me.

  • Not worth 200$ a ticket

by crys on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5

I was a little disappointed with the show itself, it seemed more like the Lindsay Buckingham show rather than Fleetwood Mac. Stevie seemed to slink into the background with her tamorine for the majority of the show. There were moments that were great in the show, Rhiannon and the usual hits were pretty good but I would definately not pay this kind of money to go see them again. The crowd was sedate (not a lot of movement) but thats just the Vancouver crowd I think. The merchandise was incredibly overpriced. Overall it was a pretty good show but disappointing.

  • Fleetwood Mac was amazing.

Great band, music is still fresh, concert was unforgettable. Just, Christine McVie was missing.

  • FLEETWOOD MAC

Amazin concert, mature people, public was a real fan.

  • Rather listen to the CD

by Rykmann on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 1 out of 5

Band seemed jaded - sound was bad - waste of time.

  • Should have seen them in the 70s

by DisapointedInVancouver on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 1 out of 5

This concert tour is obviously a grab at more cash to pad their retirement plan. Stevie Nicks voice is way past her prime. I think Christine McVie had it right by retiring for good. Lindsay Buckingham was great, so was Mick Fleetwood. John McVie was consistent. I'm just sorry that I didn't have a chance to see them when they were hot in the 70s.

  • Worth Waiting For

by rejuky on 2009-07-11General Motors Place - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Best concert ever!!! My favorite band for so many years and finally got to see them. They are still as talented as ever. Did not know Lindsay Buckingham was such a guitar hero!! And Stevie Nicks is amazing. It was great that they were not promoting an album as we got to enjoy all the songs we love best. Loved the set up, it was intimate which is hard in a huge venue. Only regret, I didn't get on line quickly enough to get even better seats.
