FM did a great job of this concert. Just excellent - great to see that the years have not slowed anyone down. It was evident that Stevie was not feeling great but that didn't stop her. Buckingham was smoking and Mick still can play with the energy of Animal on the Muppet Show ! Had a great time.
This is the first time I have seen them live and frankly I was expecting more Stevie Nicks seemed spaced out the whole time. Buckingham was awesome if not for him I think the whole concert would have been a complete bust.
This was on of my favourite concerts...as I was brought up with the wonderful music of the 70's on....I idolized them all. I wanted to look like Stevie Nick's....I just didn't have the blonde hair. This concert was so exciting for me and the energy that all these talented musicians portrayed on stage was absolutely dynamic. I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience.
When I closed my eyes and listened to the band playing live, I though I was listening to a recording...the sound was the good! They played every song I hoped they would and I was thrilled to have seen them live.
They played all their old tunes - excellent! Lindsey Buckinham never left the stage once - just continued to do riffs on the guitar. Stevie Nicks did an excellent job - never would have guessed her age!!!
Having never seen Fleetwood Mac in their heyday, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the four members left (Christine McVie didn't joint the tour) really entertained. There is nothing that time has diminished with any of them, except maybe that Stevie Nicks doesn't move like she used to. But she still has that great sultry sound and Lindsey Buckingham can sure belt it out like he used to! With no opening act, the band played the full three hours which was amazing. And not one song that I didn't know. A great time!
I brought my girlfriend that only knew a few songs and my parents that introduced me to the band. It sucks that christene didnt come on tour, but what a show lindsey, mick, john and stevie put on. lots of energy and lots of memories.
How wonderful to not be disappointed. and Cudo's to Stevie who gaave a great performance after being ill. I was transported. Lindsay's guitar work...............never better! For a true fan - it was a religious experience.
Lindsay Buckingham stole the show. Great vocals! Nice to see it start on time. It was perfect. A must see!!!!
After 40 years, Fleetwood Mac is still rocking and rolling. They were absolutely amazing. They are all talented musicians, especially Lindsay Buckingham on the guitar. He is incredibly gifted. Fleetwood Mac was very gracious and happy to be in Vancouver. You could tell they were having fun on stage. It was very nice of them to share some of their stories with the audience. Stevie Nicks was a bit under the weather, but she still put on a great show. They performed all of their greatest hits which is why people go to concerts. Too bad other bands haven't figured this out yet. I would certainly go see them again in concert.
Too bad Stevie was getting over a cold but she covered up being unable to hit the hard notes, was that her daughter in the back up singergroup?? Still an enjoyable night a little expensive since again we could not see the scenes and the missed some highlights because of that.
I have had a love for Fleetwood Mac since before I can remember. I grew up listening to them with my parents. My girlfriends and I danced to them on the beach on summer nights. It was an amazing show!! Stevie definetly was not 100% and you could hear that in her voice and see it in her body language but Lindsay Buckingham and the boys brought up the slack in their energetic performance. I didn't have the best seats in the house but just being there was worth it!
There was constant energy thoughout the whole show! They all brought their best and they did not disappoint. It was unfortunate that Christine McVie wasn't there but it did not matter. They were still FLEETWOOD MAC!
Fleetwood Mac were amazing considering their age and how long it's been since they were number one in the charts. The energe of Lindsey was incredible and Stevie did a great job considering she had just came off an illness. Well worth seeing.
At the age of 35, I've been to a lot of concerts in my time. This was my most recent concert and I'd have to say it's the best one I've EVER been to - hands down! The reason? So much energy. To be honest, I thought the concert would end quite early as I knew the band members were on the... ahem... older side. Boy, was I sorely mistaken. Never have expectations! I was sad when the show came to an end - I wanted more!
20 years ago when my husband and I were teenagers we used to cruise Robson Street in his 1976 cherry red corvette and we loved our tunes. Fleetwood Mac Rumours was at the top of our play list. I was too young and naive back then to understand the meaning of the majority of the songs but I knew I loved them. Fast forward to today, looking up from our floor seats at the four of them after all of their turmoil, clearly loving the act of performing for us was breath taking. I do not know what ever happened to Christine and although she was missed by me I think Lindsay did a remarkable job picking up her songs and boy can he play guitar. I love to remember shared memories with my husband when we were young and this event did that for me.
Their concert was a wonderful piece of memorabilia, Lindsey Buckingham was on fire with his guitar licks and Mick Fleetwood looked like he was enjoying every minute as everyone else at the concert was. Stevie was wonderful to hear to cool renderings. Yeah it was one of the best concert experiences.
Ticket prices were too high given the economic climate.Stevie Nicks was just getting over an illness but she showed up and did her best. The show must go on.The band was tight and it was a real treat to go down memory lane with one of my favourite bands from the 70's. Well worth seeing.
Had a blast! They were incredible. Stevie Nicks still has it!
