Frankie Valli is best known as the frontman of The Four Seasons and stood out from contemporary singers for his unique falsetto vocals. Rising to fame in the ‘60s, Frankie Valli is still going strong as a solo artist 50 years later.
With The Four Seasons, Valli had 29 hit singles that reached the Top 40 and as a solo artist he added a further nine Top 40 hits. The first hit for the band was “Sherr,” which went to No. 1 in 1962. Frankie's first solo hit, “Can't Take My Eyes Off You,” which was to become his signature song, was released in 1967. Frankie and the band continued to have hits throughout the ‘60s and ‘70s. In 1978 Frankie was back with a big hit, performing the title track to the iconic film Grease, which became a favorite all over the world.
Throughout their career from the ‘60s to the mid-‘70s, The Four Seasons released around 20 albums, but many more compilation and collection albums were to be released over the years. A further 10 albums were released by Valli as a solo artist, the most recent of which was Romancing the 60s, released in 2007. Valli has continued to perform and tour throughout the decades, and continues to collaborate with other artists. As recently as 2010 Valli recorded a duet with Juice Newton, “The Biggest Part of Me,” which was released as a track on Newton's Duets: Friends & Memories album. Despite a very distinguished and long-standing career, Frankie Valli wasn't to make his debut on Broadway until 2012 when he performed in a week-long concert.
For a career that has spanned half a century, it’s difficult to list all the awards and acclaim Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons have won. It‘s testament to their success that in 1990 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and that they entered the Vocal Group Hall of Fame a further nine years later. The popularity of some of their recordings has stood the test of time among fans and artists who have followed them down the years. Some 200 artists have made their own cover versions of “Can't Take My Eyes Off You” alone. As if being immortalized in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame wasn't enough, the life and careers of Frankie and The Four Seasons became the subject of the globally successful musical Jersey Boys in 2005. The show went on to win six Tony Awards and continues to tour today.
Absolutley fantastic. His pipes are still there and he didn't hold back. The best concert I have seen at Casino Rama.
My husband and I throughly enjoyed the show. We were shocked to learn that Frankie is 76 years old! His energy is amazing and the new Four Seasons are very talented. We would definitely attend Casino Rama to see Frankie again.
We could not have asked for more other than we had a flat tire getting there and missed the first 25 minutes of the show - the sound was amazing - Frankie can still belt them out - we were singing all the way home - he mentioned on the stage that they had CDs availble but didn't see a place to buy them after the show - could you let me know where I could get them Awesome/Awesome/Awesome!!!!!!
An iconic old timer. He still has some of it. Enjoyed the show. Seats are cramped and uncomfortable at the Seminole Hardrock.
From the third row center/ the seats were great, the band was at its best and Frankie & I sang each note /not missing a beat together /he looked down at me and knew that I new every song along with his new releases.I first saw the Four Seasons in 1962/63 in Windsor at the Riverside Center and over the years have gone to many concerts/ meaning that I should have started a Fan Club way back then.
Frankie Valli still rocks. He still sings like he did forty years ago. His singing is effortless.
This was a great show from beginning to end for 2 hours.
Great show! Brought back Fun memories of listening to Four Seasons' songs. The Backup Singers were amazing and fun to watch. We had a great time and sang their songs all the way home!
If you are looking for an exciting upbeat show, this is it! Especially if you enjoy the music from the 70's. Frankie Valli can still entertain and comes complete with the usual band plus wind instruments to back up many of the songs. Well worth the money. A very enjoyable evening for my wife and I.
Frankie seemed old, tired, and bored. He offered a low energy performance. the group was better than Frankie in my opinion.
Still in the grove. Hope he keeps going. STILL HITS THOSE HIGH NOTES!
Frankie Valli's concert was fantastic! His voice has not changed at all, except maybe to become stronger. This was a dream come true for my wife. Out of all the concerts she has been to over the years, Frankie was the one she always wanted to see, and never was able to. He sure did not let her down. We both would go in a heartbeat to see him again. We hope he comes back to the Windsor Casino. My only wish this time would to get front row seats for my wife.
Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons gave a Las Vegas performance in Windsor. The lyrics, music and choreography were sensational. I would go see them again.
Amazing performance!! He really gives it all he has and it shows! It was a pleasure to see him perform! He is not an up tight person, cracks a few jokes and gets the crowd going!!!
My daughter and I went to see this show. I think she was the youngest in the crowd. It intimidated her a bit at the start...what had she got herself into. She enjoyed the show entirely. We both did. We had older people behind us that loved it the same. It was just great entertainment!
If you closed your eyes, you would think you were back in the 70's - Frankie's voice sounded just as good as it did back then. And the new Four Seasons were an amazing group of young men - their personalities shone through and they really seemed to enjoy the music. Not at all bad on the eyes either!
excellent show! would recomend to anyone. A little slow at the start of the show, but after a couple of songs it was excellent!
Great fan of Frankie Valli! Saw the Jersey Boys in Toronto and loved seeing the "real guy" in person. He still has an amazingly unique falseto! Loved his show, the humour the the "chippies" male backup singers dancers were easy to look at as well! Would go again.
Concert started off a little slow and dull (Frankie appeared tired or sick??)...but he slowly got into it and gave an excellent show. The backup guys and band were super! Well worth the money!
Everyone's talking about how great the Broadway musical Jersey Boys is, but Frankie Valli's the real thing! Great entertainment! Despite his advancing age, he hasn't lost his voice and his backup singers were great. The only thing that would have made the concert better would have been to have the original Four Seasons.
