Great line-up in a fantastic venue

by dfcson on 2013-10-30The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

This is the second time I've seen Frightened Rabbit live, and it was even better than the hometown show in Toronto (which was very solid too). Very engaging, heartfelt, one of those nights where everything just lines up perfectly. I wish for nothing but huge things for Frightened Rabbit, charisma, class, and talent on display. Also, The Stone Pony is the single greatest venue for line music bar none. I cannot recommend seeing a show there high enough.

    Excellent vibe, entralling show

by dfcson on 2013-04-02The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

Although I'm a fan of the new Scottish indie movement I hadn't heard too much by Frightened Rabbit before this show. I will be seeking out everything after having seen them. Sincere, energetic, great songs and lots of charm. Highly recommended.

They were in top form and the crowd was really into it. Seen them 3 times and this was far and away the best show!

    Waited three years!

by Retrogeek on 2013-03-18The Fonda Theatre - Hollywood

I waited three years to see these guys after they were forced to cancel their 2010 Coachella appearance due to volcano. Totally worth the wait, and the venue was absolutely fantastic for the band. Drove over 2 hours (from Palm Springs) to see this show, and would do it again if they returned.

Frightened Rabbit: Sublime in the Heat

by Bacon on 2010-05-16BILTMORE CABARET - VANCOUVER

Despite the stifling heat inside the Biltmore, Frightened Rabbit, led by frenetic lead singer Scott Hitchison, kept the crowd a happy bunch. The energy and intensity of the band was matched only by their lyrical and instrumental chops. Hutchison is a charismatic lead singer and his voice was in amazing form, as was his off-the-cuff banter, delievered in his thick Scottish accent. . Highlights were "Keep Yourself Warm," "Modern Leper," and "Heads Roll Off." Highly recommended you see this band.

    goosebumps

by wkdchkn on 2010-05-05The Opera House - Toronto

never have i been to a concert when i had multiple episodes of goosebumps because of the performance of the band. as well as being generally amazing for every song, the couple of times where they got the whole audience clapping in unison gave me said goosebumps, but not as much as when Scott performed Poke acoustically for the penultimate song, and got the whole audience ooh ooh ooh-ing along for the chorus. wow.

Great act. Great venue. Only negative was the length of the show. Only played for about 45-50 minutes including the encores. Would have liked to see a bit more.

    Dream-like state.

by Socksrock on 2009-07-26The Horseshoe Tavern - Toronto

There were several tall guys in front of me so at times I couldn't even see the stage. Depite the lack of visuals, as soon as the music started playing and Scott Hutchison sang the first line, the goosebumps came. There were times when I honestly thought I was dreaming because it all seemed too wonderful to be true. I would absolutely see them again. Great setlist+ amazing live performers = the perfect concert atmosphere.
