Possibly best show I've ever seen

    by Alli3388 on 2015-11-15Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

Glen Hansard is passionate, alive, humble, so funny, a great storyteller, and one of the greatest singer/songwriters alive today. This show was full of humour and grace. Glen's music is so beautiful and powerful. Goosebumps! One of the best shows I have ever seen in my entire life. :)

    Glen Handsard Hands down :)

by skullly on 2015-11-15Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

Tonight I saw Glen Hansard play at the Orpheum theatre in vancouver ,If you ever get a chance to see him play a show you wont be disappointed ,he plays with his heart and soul and with just his voice and the stomp of his foot he brings you into his stories, we all seem to relate and get captured by the sweet back bones of the musics ups and downs truly inspires me to keep on making tunes and fills my soul with happiness ,I'm glad that music still exists that is genuine and real no gimmicks ,at the end of the show I felt as if we were all in a bar singing songs together with the crowed like a bunch of drinking buddies ,he really brought the house together and satisfied our Night. Thank you Glen and cheers

    Glen Hansard Delivers

by charliebarlie on 2015-11-15Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

My husband and I saw the Swell Season at the Orpheum back in 2009-ish. That concert changed indie folk/rock music for us forever. When I saw Glen Hansard was coming solo to the Orpheum, I leapt at the chance to see him and hopefully re-create some of those epic Swell Season moments. Glen Hansard and his ridiculously talented team of band mates did not disappoint. From the opening moment through to the end of a nearly 45-minute encore, we were blown away by the talent and craftsmanship of the show. A healthy dose of friendly banter mixed with epic sound and true musical artistry made for one of the best shows we have seen in a very long time. Thanks Glen and friends for another memorable evening. Look forward to seeing you next time you pass through Vancouver!

    amazing show

by Anonymous on 2015-11-13Orpheum - Vancouver

it was my first time seeing Glen Hansard live and loved it. His last night performance at Orpheum was one of the kind. The whole concert was amazing. he had some special guest on stage too and that gave the whole night the extra wow. the band was also amazing. the lady playing violin especially. glen had a whole orchestra playing for him and there was 11 of them on the stage for one song. it was a treat to listen his powerful voice live at such a great venue.

    Great but too short

Great show, fantastic performer but way too short because of Hollywood Bowl curfew. Very disapointing for that reason.

    Fun Irish Charm :)

by nikkicino on 2012-09-19Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Great concert at a great venue! Glen Hansard puts on a very entertaining show – he’s extremely charming and engages the audience during his performance. Lovely songs and I like that he shared his thoughts behind the lyrics. We were also asked to sing along during a couple of songs which was a nice surprise. His band is amazing too. At times the audience got a bit too involved and the shout-outs became annoying, but that wasn’t Glen’s fault and he handled the interruptions with courtesy and humour. Will definitely see him again if/when he returns to Toronto.

    Glen is a must-see musician

by Hinchy on 2012-09-18The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

If you ever want to see crowd engagement and superb, really superb musician-ship, then go see Glen Hansard. He is such a natural, raw musical talent. If you like his music on record/from the studio, you HAVE to witness it live - it's so loud, and all emcompassing. This is a contender for my "Gig Of The Year" award. I loved that he got friends and musicians (that he knew) from the audience to just go play with him. And the whole encore was acoustic - no amps, no microphones. Simply awesome!

by BlairC on 2012-09-18The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Everything about the night was unforgettable. The venue was amazing, the sound, the atmosphere was great. Glen Hansard is incredible live. He did a set without anything plugged in which was something I have never seen. It was amazing!! Highly recommend seeing him. I will see him every time he comes!

by Will55 on 2012-09-18The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

If you get a chance to see Glen, definitely take it. The show was incredible. Great interaction with the audience (although a couple of people didn't know when to shut up), there was a lot of laughter but most importantly the music was amazing. He's an Incredibly talented musician whose music touches you. I hope I get to see him again.

    Amazing, moving and inspirational

by pkpowerofone on 2012-09-18The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

This was the 4th time I've seen Glen Hansard perform and the first time seeing him without Marketa. He never disappoints and I will always see him whenever he's in town. His music is meant to be seen live and his engaging personality and raw, powerful vocals always blow me away. I took a friend with me who was unfamiliar with his music (and who is more inclined to heavy metal) and he was also blown away. Glen is one of the best performers in the world today. Go see him. Also, Glen's bandmates are incredible musicians and make the show even more worthwhile. They had 11 people onstage at one point!
