I really hope Les Grands Ballets Canadiens return again next year!!! Being that Montreal is my hometown, I couldn’t be happier to see this masterpiece again. No other Nutcracker ballet has lived up to this beautiful piece for me. The costumes, the characters, the spirit of the dancers. 10/10 would recommend.
Right from the sets, to the costumes , all of it was beautiful. The performers were spectacular , can’t wait to see their next production !
Great production of the Nutcracker, the whole family enjoyed it in spite of the clueless parents around us that brought kids too young to sit through the show, fed them candy from crinkling wrappers, talked through the show, kicked the backs of seats or were clearly sick. Lesson learned, no more matinees!
I was blown away by the dancers and the NAC orchestra! The music was fantastic! I felt nostalgic listening to this music that painted my childhood. It has been a dream to see the Nutcracker on stage, and I am happy to have watched the show from my orchestra seat. I would love to see it again next year!
Hi, this ballet was quite interesting, my daughter and I were looking at each other at different points in the show and wondering if that part was in the classic version we've seen in year's past. Given that it was a new group's take on the classic, we rolled with it. The costumes were vibrant, very colourful and fun. The "jokester" character added nice levity to the show as did the black sheep. Overall, it was a fun new twist on a classic, however, I do prefer the Winnipeg Ballet version of The Nutcracker - perhaps I'm a stickler for a Christmas classic. Thank you!
The set was creatively put together and absolutely beautiful. The dancing was outstanding, as was the music. A wonderful evening!
The seats we had selected were amazing. This is a tradition that my daughter and I have shared for 4 years now. We missed a few because of Covid. The first representation was with Winning Ballet and this year was with Montreal Ballet. Both were amazing in their own rights. We were able to compare and we both concluded that Winnipeg Ballet had the best choreography.
I loved everything about this show, from the costumes to the dancing to the decor. I also loved to see the diverse corps de ballet and principal dancers. This is a must-see! My younger sister was ecstatic!
The best production of The Nutcracker I've seen! The ballet dancers were very good, the set, decor, costume and beautiful music was quite enjoyable and lovely!
