    Starring who?

    by girlsweekend1 on 2011-03-14Casino Rama - Orillia

Arrived to the event and no information was given or told. Still not sure who any of the actors are, or where the production team is from or anything like that. The show was great, and the sining was ok. Overall the experience was great. I LOVE GREASE!!!

    Grease

This production of Grease failed to engage the audience. I noticed several people leaving during the play.

    Grease - pretty forgetable

    by Chaz5 on 2011-03-14Casino Rama - Orillia

I went with three other people and we all could not hear very well. I have been to many functions at this theatre and this time the sound was awful! I am just glad that I didn't pay more than we did! The overall show was just okay.... kinda disappointed as we were real grease fans! The actual seats were also awful.... way too much of a slope so you feel like you are gonna fall off. Very very uncomfortable!

    Grease...different spin

by Milena on 2011-03-14Casino Rama - Orillia

The show was good, sound certainly could have been better. Seems like the venue was too big for the type of show it was. But my complaint is that I purchased tickets for the 5th row and when we got there we had to change tickets.."upgraded" by Rama but we ended up in the 10th row...not impressed and not given a reason why we had to move.

    Grease was Amazing

by Anonymous on 2011-03-13Casino Rama - Orillia

My friend and I reallyy enjoyed Grease. Our seats were incredible. I would totally recommend this to other people. We really enjoyed the music and the dancing; they were our favourite parts. My favourite song was Grease Lightning, with the dancing, singing and the special effects they used with the car and lights. I would love to come back again!!!

Good music, great singers but ....

by cardbuddy on 2011-03-13Casino Rama - Orillia

It was a fun play. I enjoyed the singers and songs but was disappointed in how the songs were out of order. Other than that, it was good.

The two main characters Danny and Sandy were the weakest singers in the show, couldn't wait for it to be over, watch the movie and save your money.

    Grease was great !!

by Buchfire on 2011-03-12Casino Rama - Orillia

All the singers and dancers were awesome. As singers, Sandy was as good as Oliva Newton John and Danny was better than John Travola. Rizzio was also very good and better looking than the original. We enjoyed the show very much.

it was okay.... a little cheesy; the cast was old-ish.... props were ok , songs were the original from the movie not a lot of special effects. slow moving... Dirty Dancing musical was WAYYYY better.

    fun

by yoon4eva on 2010-12-14Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

it was fun and exciting. Grease is a perfect way to become immersed in the recent past. Not only was it one of the top box office draws in 1978, but it capped off a decade of '50s frenzy (that began, ironically, with the off-Broadway opening of the play Grease in 1972). The stars were '70s icons, with John Travolta having come off his phenomenally successful outing in Saturday Night Fever and Olivia Newton-John having made her American acting debut after repeated stays atop world-wide pop charts. The songs are '50s style hits that have shown their enduring popularity. The soundtrack for Grease sold well in 1978 and is still going strong two decades later.

    Grease

by ezirv on 2010-12-06Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I was disappointed in the overall show. I had seen it off Broadway ten years ago. The former was infinitely superior. The music overpowered the voices of the actors. The singing was marginal. I would not recommend this production.

    Grease is not the word

by magbag on 2010-11-28Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Eight of us went to Grease at the Edmonton Jube. We ranged in age from 15 to 63 and we were all disappointed. The vocals were generally weak especially Sandy. Also the acoustics in the Jube were poor. The music was much louder than the signers. For some of the songs I could not even make out the words they were signing. I found this to be a problem as well when we went to Mama Mia this year. Grease had numerous light and back stage issues that the average person barely noticed (except the swinging rope in the background), but one of our group has worked in theatre and was quite disappointed with the lights, sound, etc. This group of ladies has been going to the Citadel for several years. We decided to change venue and give the Jube a chance. I think we will be going back to the Citadel next year.

by Doughball on 2010-11-26Festival Place - Sherwood Park

I watch the movie grease at least every 4 month, I am a big GREASE fan and I think those kids did an amazing job and if I wasn't busy I would have went again the next night and no I did not have a child in the show...And the long neck bottles of coke topped it off for me..A PERFORMANCE WELL DONE KIDS!!!!
