    Grease - great performance

by AngelKin on 2010-11-26Festival Place - Sherwood Park

This is the 2nd performance that I have seen at Festival Place by Bev Facey High School. They do a fabulous job. Well worth going to see and supporting the young adults that put so much work into these productions. I live in Sherwood Park and like to support locally and have not been disappointed by these High School kids. Job well done!!!

    Grease was AMAZING!!!

by EdmBayli on 2010-11-26Festival Place - Sherwood Park

First time I have taken in a high school musical in years. Sitting in the audience, watching you wouldn't think that these preformers are just in high school, they were awesome. I absolutely loved it! They all knew their lines, as far as I could tell there wasn't even any missed lines. The cast chosen were definately suited for the parts they played. Top notch preformance!

It was a good show, but there were a few issues with the sound. In more than 1 group song the guys parts was much louder that the girls or visa versa. It was a good show though, I would go to see it again.

Grease was a disappointment for me

by Wonton on 2010-11-19Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Although I enjoyed the Grease production, being a long time fan of the movie Grease, I was disappointed in this performance. The costumes did not seem authentic to the era and looked more like they went shopping at Old Navy before they went on. The actress who played Sandy gave a rather weak performance. Overall I enjoyed the play due to the songs, however, I would not recommend this production to a friend.

I brought my Mom for her 64th Birthday, and I loved the show. Mostly my Mom's reactions to the music, she kept saying that I remember doing this.... Recommeded to all my friends

    Grease was fun

It was a good show... It was pretty much just the music part of the story, but it was enjoyable.

    Oh Sandie, why why why

by sassysarah on 2010-11-16Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Grease is such an iconic movie. Which makes me wonder they chose the actress they did to play the part of Sandie. Her voice was either so high pitch to the point of screeching or you weren't able to hear it at all. Hopelessly Devoted To You is one of my favorite songs in the movie and she ruined it for me. However, the overall performance was good. I really enjoyed the role of Rizzo. The actress portrayed her very well both in characteristics and voice. I enjoyed the extra songs that were added. It just added to the feel of the play. Would I see it again, well I think I will just stick to the movie.

    grease was ok

by hopeless on 2010-11-16Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

for someone who has watched the movie as many times as i have it maybe hard to live up to what i was hoping what i was hoping for. i found that sandy and danny were the weaker singers and others in the cast may have been better suited to the lead

by Lafrog on 2010-11-16Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Well where to start.... Play was cheesy, dances were cheesy. Grease is all about the dances and songs. The only good thing, good singers. It almost feld like we had the second best show, that the real broadway Grease never made it to Edmonton.

    not so Greasy

by jackofdiamond on 2010-11-16Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

found the singing very squeeky, high pitched hard to follow to much other noise not enough base for rock n roll dancing numbers were very good but the dual acting scenes seemed hard to follow changed the story to much and Sandy seemed to disappear off stage to much.

Definitely captured the spirit of Grease. Ending was a bit rushed, but overall, it was enjoyable. LOVED the interaction with the audience before the performance started.

Grease is the one that I want!

by qeen2 on 2010-11-16Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

What a fantastic musical! It was high energy and it kept your attention all the way through. I have seen Grease many times (the movie) and know it by heart and yes they had to switch a few things for stage and they took out a few scenes from the movie, BUT it still had the same feeling. It still was Grease and myself and everyone with me totally loved it. The actors were awesome and the singing was so good!
