About

Heart formed in Seattle, Washington in 1973 and have rocked on through the years under the sibling core of Ann and Nancy Wilson. The group has released 16 studio albums, hitting the Top 10 seven times and topping the Billboard 200 with 1985’s Heart. The band have sold nearly 35 million albums worldwide. Early rock staples such as “Crazy on You,” "Barracuda” and “Magic Man” gave way to greater mainstream success in the ’80s with the group’s first Hot 100 chart-toppers, "These Dreams" in 1986 and "Alone” in 1987. Despite developing their own solo careers after their first hiatus in 1995, the Wilson sisters have reunited as Heart several times. In 2013, Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band have received four career Grammy nominations and received The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.

The sound mixers were terrible again. Second time we have seen Cheap Trick as the opening act and the music overpowered the singing. Couldn’t make out the words. Heart was the same. Won’t be going to any concerts at Rogers Place ever again.

  • Fabulous concert

by Budoka on 2025-03-24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

I was nervous as to how it would be with all that Ann has been through in the last year. But really, it was beyond great. Understandably she wasn't able to hit the extreme high notes we're all used to hearing, but overall, she performed magically. That she could still show that masterful drive and front the show is a true testament to her, Nancy, and the supporting musicians. She can still "Keep The Love Alive". Heart is definitely still with us, and should be for a long time to come. At least for as long as they want to be Cheap trick was solid rock and roll as expected, but their sound techs didn't have it nailed the way it should have been. Kind of surprising really, first time I've even had a complaint about the sound at Rogers Place, but that was actually quite poor.

  • Fantastic

by Annie on 2025-03-24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Seeing Heart was a dream come true! I was a teenager when I bought their album. Such talent!!! The only thing I didn’t like was that there were no big screens.

  • Great concert but…

by KH on 2025-03-24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Heart and Cheap Trick were great to see. Awesome sound and great songs. Unfortunately we were disappointed that the production cheaped out by not having a video display of the stage.

  • Amazing Performance!

    by Ragnar65 on 2025-03-24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Cheap Trick was great to see! The performance by Heart was incredible considering their age and physical condition! Absolutely amazing!

  • Great Music no screens

by the kwas on 2025-03-24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

I want to express my disappointment regarding the lack of an overhead screen at the recent concert. Without it, it was difficult to see the performers, and I feel I missed out on the visual aspects of the performance.

  • Great show from both Cheap Trick/Heart

by Buster on 2025-03-24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent show. Both bands were very good and their voices were as good as 30 years ago.

  • Great performance 🎭

by Hilton on 2025-03-24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Ann’s performance was great, she still has the best female vocal voice ever. And Nancy Wilson is one of best rock and roll guitarist in history. Their performance was as good, as it ever was in the past decades. Hope to see them again.

  • AWESOME !

by TBR on 2025-03-24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Listening and watching Heart perform was fantastic. Their performance and the light show was great. We will have wonderful memories of their performance. We have always wanted to see them perform and we are glad they came to Edmonton.

  • Best concert experience ever!

by Kim from Edmonton on 2025-03-24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Heart rocked the house and Cheap Trick really brought it. Best concert experience ever!

  • Rockin’ Hearts

by KMAC on 2025-03-24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Sound was excellent for both Cheap Trick and Heart. Nice to see them all still rockin’ , how rock bands should keep doing it. Great night and atmosphere..

  • They rocked!

by Britt on 2025-03-24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Cheap Trick was great and Heart still rocked even though Ann was in a wheelchair because of her arm injury. It was an awesome show! The only reason I gave 4 stars is that I wish there would have been some screens to show a closer view of the bands for those of us who were seated far away from the stage. I couldn't make out their faces, but the sound was amazing!

  • Awesome concert

by Carmen on 2025-03-23Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Even though Ann was struggling with her broken elbow ( as any of us would do, too) it was a dream come true concert…Heart was fabulous and so was Cheap Trick…we loved it…

  • Best concert from any group in decades

by Dale on 2025-03-23Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

The 70's and 80's were my era of music. We didn't know before we arrived that Cheap Trick would open for Heart. What a bonus! They sang many of our favorites for 70 minutes. After only a half hour transition between sets, Heart came on and blew everyone away for an hour and forty minutes. They sounded exactly like their recordings. Anne Wilson's voice was excellent and Nancy Wilson slayed it on the guitar. It transported the audience back decades; it was like we were listening to their concert in the 80's. They finished with "Barracuda."It was phenomenal, awesome and mind-blowing. Thank you, Heart, for a truly memorable evening.

  • Heart was awesome

by Dawn on 2025-03-23Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Heart was awesome, so happy to get to see them in person, also enjoyed the opening act cheap trick

  • Showing their age

by MFortGarry on 2025-03-23Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

Both Heart and Cheap Trick were not up to their best... vocally, musically,

  • Pretty good.

by Cavers on 2025-03-23Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

I haven't seen Heart in over 40 years, and, like me, they've aged. Nancy is still a hottie, and seems to be filling a bigger role now, loved her, and noticed her more this time. Ann can still out sing a lot of performers, but she didn't appear to possess that glass shattering voice she once had. I was 50 feet from the stage, but I didn't get goosebumps like last time. Getting out of the wheelchair will undoubtedly spark up her performance, it must be tough to sing from a wheel chair, in pain. All in all, pretty good. Still my favorite female rock band of all time.

  • Heart - Yes ! Cheap Trick - Not so much

by Rockin Rob on 2025-03-23Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Cheap Trick was an unexpected opener and wasn't so great as I didn't really follow their music back in the 80s except for the radio air play of their bigger hits. Heart was awesome. Ann can still sing her "heart"out. Pun? What Pun? Signature voice of Heart. I feel like such an amateur now after watching Nancy Wilson. Her skill on the guitar is so inspiring. This petite gal in her 70s with the acoustic opening to Crazy on You and those deep E chords to Barracuda are the most memorable. Those images are burned in my memory. Thank You to all members of the band for a great night.

  • Heart & Cheap Trick Calgary

by MrTYYC on 2025-03-23Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

Not sure if Cheap Trick's sound man was drunk or something because the sound was terrible. I can't believe a band with so many records and history could be this bad. Even their stage set looked like it was meant for a bar band. Fortunately after the short break between bands, Heart took the stage and the difference was night and day. The stage was set great and the sound was awesome. They put on a great show and the only bad part of theirs was no encore.

  • Heart Still Rocks!!!

by CB on 2025-03-23Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Such a great joy to see one of my favorite bands live! Ann & Nancy & the band always deliver and this experience was extra special given all that Ann has been through recently. I am grateful to have been there :)
