About

Heart formed in Seattle, Washington in 1973 and have rocked on through the years under the sibling core of Ann and Nancy Wilson. The group has released 16 studio albums, hitting the Top 10 seven times and topping the Billboard 200 with 1985’s Heart. The band have sold nearly 35 million albums worldwide. Early rock staples such as “Crazy on You,” "Barracuda” and “Magic Man” gave way to greater mainstream success in the ’80s with the group’s first Hot 100 chart-toppers, "These Dreams" in 1986 and "Alone” in 1987. Despite developing their own solo careers after their first hiatus in 1995, the Wilson sisters have reunited as Heart several times. In 2013, Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band have received four career Grammy nominations and received The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.

  • Still Rocking

I'm glad I went and watched this event. They still Rock! Venue was good and quality of sound was great. They sang the song "Alone" which got them a standing ovation. I just wished they sang my favorite "All I wanna do is make love to you".

Ann Wilson can still hit the notes and Nancy still plays incredibly.

  • HEART BROUGHT IT!!!!

by Boomer47 on 2011-02-21Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

HEART was unbelievable! I forgot how talented Ann Wilson was. Her voice is a work of art and she could school any young diva in the art of singing. It's been a long time since I've seen a crowd give a standing ovation after a performance of one song. I was never a huge fan of the song "Alone" but Ann's vocals almost brought me to tears and it brought everybody to their feet. Un - FREAKING - Believable!!!!! Nancy is still a Guitar Goddess. She moves around the stage like she did 35 years ago. Although I expected it, her solo to start "Crazy On You" gave me goose bumps. I definitely think she has found the fountain of youth. The rest of the band was also incredible. Great, Great, Great Players!!!! All I have to say is don't walk to buy your tickets - RUN!!!!!

  • Heart was Fabulous

Ann and Nancy Wilson sound the same as they did 25 years ago. Wonderful voices and excellent choice of songs. Good to hear some of their new songs along with the old.

  • by Anonymous on 2011-02-21Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

An excellent show by seasoned veterans! The set design was clean and uncluttered allowing the music to shine with all its power. Coming to hear the old favourites and pleased to hear the new songs as well. The band was everything one could hope for!

  • Heart still rocks!

by canuckism on 2011-02-21Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Heart aka the Wilson sisters were fantastic. Still rockin', still singin', still playin' ...lotsa the old, as Ann pointed out -> 70s, 80s, 90 and now a new decade with Red Velvet Car. I was disappointed with our seats being directly in front of a speaker; even though we were 6 rows back we still got the wind from the speaker. The biggest detriment was that Ann's voice was outboomed by the bass speaker. Two encores! Gotta luv it .. and yeah, I got the tshirt, too.

by Shellze on 2011-02-21Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Overall very impressive, especially with their hits from through out their career. Of the new songs, only Red Car Velvet did anything for me. The other 3 sounded just normal and were not back to their basis songs. Opening was super and the cover songs of The Who, Led Zep and the Stones was fantastic.

  • The Girls Still Got It...

There were two shining stars at the Heart concert on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the sold-out Jubilee Auditorium show: Ann Wilson's amazing vocal range, and younger sister Nancy's captivating stage presence. Touring across Canada for the first time in 30 years with a new album, Red Velvet Car in tow, Heart mixed it up with a few new numbers and a lot of the classic material from their four decade old career. While the obligatory new tunes drew a luke warm response; their older numbers, like Dog and Butterfly, Magic Man, Straight On brought the house down. Ann's vocals were tremendous and are still awe inspiring after all these years. Combined with Nancy's stage flair and ravishing beauty, and the band's straight ahead approcach to the classic material it was a great night of classic rock n' roll. They even mixed in a Who cover with Even The Score which was interesting but not overly effective. An interesting note was Ann mentioning they used to be the house band at a now defunct Edmonton hotel in the seventies. A few more tunes would have been nice at the end of the show as they haven't been to Edmonton in 25 years. But all-in-all a great show.

  • Heart was one of the best concerts I have seen

by moejo on 2011-02-21Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Everything from the beginning to the end of the concert was truly amazing. I loved the drums and the fire on stage. Ann Wilson's voice is unbelieveable and Nancy Wilson's guitar playing has to be witnessed. The sound was awesome and these are truly professionals and gifted and talented artists. I have been to many concerts and the last couple of concerts have been truly disappointing due to sound problems. Not so with these ladies and their band, they knew how to rock that venue...Thank you. My husband and I loved the show.

I seen Heart 20 years ago & I must say that they still have it. Ann has got to have the best female voice on the planet hands down. Last time Nancy played alot more solos but the playing she did this show was truly amazing. 5 stars is not enough...

  • Heart was dis-appointing

by Msbeezy on 2011-02-21Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

Saw Heart in the 70's in edmonton and listened to their music since and I think the performance they put together albeit good just didn't leave me all goo-goo. Long loud strung out endless raunchy songs I never heard of gave me the impression they were trying too hard. I guess I wanted to hear/see the Heard of old where they focused much of their energy on more newer recent stuff. As a plus Anne's voice was simply un-faultering..powerful and endearing with that raspy tone she so well endowes

  • good

by Anonymous on 2011-02-21Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

Heart was really quite good, still the same great vocals, but we all found the music was much to loud, hurt the ears, other then that the music was ok would have been nice to hear more of the old Heart though.

Excellent Show.... Ann has not lost her pipes, she sounds just as good as she did 20 years ago.

  • Heart rocks on!!!!

by ddiggerr on 2011-02-21MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Incredable experience seeing Heart in concert front row center. An experience I will never forget. They did their best to cover many popular songs through the years and promote their new ones. I left completely satisfied and impressed. Anns voice continues to send chills through me and Nancy can still kick it up!

  • Heart Soared above the rest

by scrapperdave on 2011-02-21MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Anne and Nancy Wilson were incredible. Their vocal were pitch perfect and they belted it out as if they were 18 yrs old. The guitars came out strong, rocking really hard, and the concert was good start to finish. some of their new tunes in the middle of the set intrigued me enough to consider buying their new CD. their 70's music of course ruled with an amazing rendition of Crazy on you with Nancy giving high kicks to go with the guitar licks. Loved their encore of Zeppelin (what is and should never be) and The Who. Second Encore "DreamBoat Annie" great and left us wanting more, but they already had given us about 2 hrs

  • Heart Rocked the MTS Centre

by maddogmama on 2011-02-20MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Heart was completely amazing. Ann wilson at 60 years old can sing younger performers under the stage. Her sister Nancy rocks with the best of them. Their combined voices still fill the concert hall with grace and beauty. They can also rock harder and longer than singers half their age. The concert was not only a sound sensation, their lighting and sets were tasteful and entertaining. The sandlewood incense that they infused in the air while they were playing was an added sensory delight. These Ladies are well worth it to see.

  • Heart was a Snow Storm of Rock

by luvsdave on 2011-02-20MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

There was a snow storm outside but things were hot in the MTS Center. This group has not lost their touch. Hope they come back soon, they were so good I would diffently see them again. Loved it. They rocked out all the old tunes and the new ones to. They came back and did 2 oncores which were fantastic. Lots of energy.

  • by Rada on 2011-02-20MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

Their voices are still amazing, expecially Anne's voice.

  • Interesting

by NannyBerry on 2011-02-19MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

I found the concert as a whole very good. However, I was not enthused with the opening act, particularly since I wasn't acquainted with her music. As she was from Cape Breton, I would have expected Maritime-like music. Heart was wonderful--I would see them again.

  • by Anonymous on 2011-02-19MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

Those women can still rock! Their voices and energy are still as good as in the 80s.
