About

Heart formed in Seattle, Washington in 1973 and have rocked on through the years under the sibling core of Ann and Nancy Wilson. The group has released 16 studio albums, hitting the Top 10 seven times and topping the Billboard 200 with 1985’s Heart. The band have sold nearly 35 million albums worldwide. Early rock staples such as “Crazy on You,” "Barracuda” and “Magic Man” gave way to greater mainstream success in the ’80s with the group’s first Hot 100 chart-toppers, "These Dreams" in 1986 and "Alone” in 1987. Despite developing their own solo careers after their first hiatus in 1995, the Wilson sisters have reunited as Heart several times. In 2013, Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band have received four career Grammy nominations and received The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.

  • Heart Still Sounds Great!

    by runner1 on 2010-03-16Orpheum Theatre - VancouveRating: 4 out of 5

After more than 30 years, the heart of Heart, the Wilson sisters can still rock. Ann Wilson still can hit those high notes. Nancy Wilson, doing a few of her trademark kicks, held her own also.

  • Mesmerizing Evening!

by mitzy on 2010-03-16Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Seeing & hearing Heart play live is an EVENT like no other. This evening's show kept the fever HIGH all through the night. LUVED the new material, it was so exciting to hear the band present their new songs & I cannot wait for "Red Velvet Car" to be released. Nothing beats hearing Heart perform live and the closest that comes if you're not able to get to a concert would probably be their "Alive in Seattle "DVD. I must admit that we didn't stick around for the opening act but opted for the lobby, a glass of wine, and an excited preshow chat. We were just too pumped for Heart to sit in our seats and listen to the opener. Just when I thought I couldn't be more enthralled, the long slowed down ending to Crazy on You took place, and Ann's voice and presence transported me yet to another realm and penetrated me on a further level. My jaw was dragging from that moment on. Ann & Nancy are truly remarkable artists. I hope I have the opportunity to catch them again soon!

  • Heart stll sound great!

Ann's voice was out of control in a good wat. They just should have mixed up the new songs if they had to to do them..

  • Heart Concert in Vancouver

AMAZING!!!! I've been waiting for them to come down here forever!!!! Anns voice live is better than on the Record!!!!!!! If they ever come back I will go for sure!!!

  • Ann Wilson is amazing!

    by chubby1 on 2010-03-12Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I first saw Ann Wilson at one of the monthly dances at my high school in Surrey. Ann's voice mesmerized me then so much that I spent most of the night sitting on the stage edge. Time has only perfected a voice that many singers could only hope to some close to. Shes powerful, clear and does Roger Daltry and Robert plant almost better than they do themselves.

  • I couldn't believe how good they still sound

by crys on 2010-03-12Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

They played all the hits along with some new songs which were good, will have to get the album - Red Velvet Car - to get a better feel. The whole band worked together so well and didn't miss a beat, it was really well done. The pipes on Ann and Nancy are still as good as they ever were after all these years - I couldn't believe it. Nancy had so much energy I think she was the one that amazed me the most and how many times she switched instruments thoughout the show --- wow. Definate must see if your a Heart fan.

  • Heart..Still Rocking After All These Years!

by beha on 2010-03-12Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely unforgettable concert! I saw the Wilson sister's at 'Starvin' Marvin's' on Fir and Broadway in Vancouver BC, approximately 35 years ago. They haven't changed. Their band was fantastic as well. When are they coming back?

  • Heart was way to loud !!!

    by ou812tooloud on 2010-03-12Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5

Is their sound man deaf ?? My wife and I took our 10 year old son to See Heart which was his first concert, he likes playing Barracuda on his guitar and we thought he would love to see this band , unfortunately it was so loud the sound quality was terrible, I have been to many venues lots of rock concerts and this was by far the loudest , what happened to quality sound? sure it needs to be loud but that was nutz... after playing for so many years I would think Ann & Nancy would understand how to sound thier music properly , maybe they should try sitting in the seats and hear the volume which was Crazy on Us ! we were all disappointed, on a good note they sure can sing and play well, too bad it was all distorted and beyond a decibel that was tolerable... SORT OF LIKE WHEN YOUR IN YOUR CAR AND SOME IDIOT PULLS UP BESIDE YOU WITH HIS BOOM BOX CRANKED AND YOU CAN'T HEAR YOUR OWN STEREO, JUST A LOUD BASS BOOM BOOM. WILL NEVER GO SEE HEART AGAIN. DISAPOINTED AFTER SPENDING $ 250.00 DOLLARS FOR THAT ?????? when will concerts use a decibel meter so as not too destroy everyones hearing ????

  • The Wilson sisters still rock!

by allmod on 2010-03-12Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Was a very good show...I wished they had played a little longer. Ann is still one of the great rock vocalists ever. Their Who cover was the highlight for me. Would be great if they could play a more intimate club like the Commodore Ballroom - the higher ticket price would be well worth it.

  • Heart was Amazing

by nfancy on 2010-03-11Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Finally a concert where I could sing along to ALL the songs. Grew up with Heart. Saw them in concert as a teen, still absolutely amazing to listen to. Great venue, maybe to small for Heart but we had good seats so all good for us.

  • Too loud ruined sound

by Anonymous on 2010-03-11Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

Ann & Nancy amazing as usual but it was so loud that their vocals and musicianship were lost or distorted. Lost the opportunity of this venue. Iam all for loud bit not when sound quality suffers; too bad. Lead guitarist had no personality, preferred band guitarist and keyboards of 2008.

  • I <3 Heart!!!

by Djkeng on 2010-03-11Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

This was the most fantastic night of music. Ann was in top form, with amazingly powerful vocals. Nancy was just a wonderful and the whole band gelled like they had never been away from the concert circuit. The new tunes were exciting and I can't wait for the album to be released!

  • Heart Rocks the House

by wizardtech on 2010-03-11Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Heart opened the show with Barracuda, bringing the audience to their feet. Needles to say that everyone remained standing till the end of the show. Heart is Heart though. Very similar concerts always great.

  • Sadly Disappointed by the Heart Concert

by Hearnoevilhavenofun on 2010-03-11Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 1 out of 5

$28 to park; 45 minute pre-show (didn't come to see that guy); followed by another 1/2 hour wait - not so much as an apology. People around us and the row behind us were all complaining too. We paid to sit up front and when the show started everyone flooded to stand in front of me. We were too close to the speakers which were cranked too loud to even hear clearly. It's not because I don't like loud music - I was row 7 for ACDC and it was awesome! If we didn't know Heart's songs, we wouldn't know a word they said. It was like a radio on too loud, slightly off station. When we left because of it (after only 3 songs); we noticed the sound was decent from about 1/2 way back and we finally got a glimpse of the band on the monitor in the lobby. A long wait to not see or hear the band. Sadly disappointed - they were one of my favourites in the seventies and I loved the concert at the Colliseum then. :-(

  • by j2010 on 2010-03-11Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Music was great! But don't expect to see much at this theatre since everyone was standing for the whole concert............

  • Heart has still tons of it

by ofGold on 2010-03-11Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing, The girls, while not looking like they used to but then most of the audience dosen't look the same either, still have it. Ann has perhaps as Nancy said the best ever girl rock singer voice ever.Nancy's guitar work has always and is the best. Love the mix of acoustic and full on rock. I couldn't hear much the next day but didn't care. The new songs were great and the old standards sent chills and me back in time to Calgary in the 70's, the last time I saw them. Rock on Ladies, Thanks

  • Still got it!!

by Guinnydog on 2010-03-11Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Haven't seen the girls since they played Summer Sunday at Empire Stadium back in 1980ish?? They still sound great and can rock. PS still in love with Nancy!

  • Wilsons Still Rock!

by Nortile on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

Concert started on time, opening act was fine,. Heart was excellent,, Annes voice hasn't diminished over the years. My only complaint is with the length of the concert. We paid almost $200 for the concert, not included parking etc, and Heart only performed for an hour. I think they shorted their fans when it comes to good concert value.
