About

Heart formed in Seattle, Washington in 1973 and have rocked on through the years under the sibling core of Ann and Nancy Wilson. The group has released 16 studio albums, hitting the Top 10 seven times and topping the Billboard 200 with 1985’s Heart. The band have sold nearly 35 million albums worldwide. Early rock staples such as “Crazy on You,” "Barracuda” and “Magic Man” gave way to greater mainstream success in the ’80s with the group’s first Hot 100 chart-toppers, "These Dreams" in 1986 and "Alone” in 1987. Despite developing their own solo careers after their first hiatus in 1995, the Wilson sisters have reunited as Heart several times. In 2013, Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band have received four career Grammy nominations and received The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.

The Wilson sisters can still hit those hight notes! New songs were good. The volume could have been lower, with no loss in quality. Sometimes the lyrics were not recognizable because the sound was too loud. I noticed some people leaving early in the concert....assume it was because of this. The person in charge of lighting shone the spotlight on the audience too many times ( we really did not need to be blinded so often). Any way you can eject those patrons who insist on" howling" for the entire duration of a concert????? They spoil it for others who have a real interest in the music.

Annie still has an amazing voice and Nancy versatility on guitar, mandolin and vocals is fabulous. The lead guitarist did his thing but didn't blow me away. But then I didn't go to see him. The sound mix could have been a little better as it was hard to hear Nancy singing These Dreams. Hated the lighting. A blinding yellow light was beaming into the audience which was painful. I hope they do away with that. It really took away from the performance.

Heart was amazing!! I would definately go again! Nancy can play anything you put in front of her, and Ann's voice is like nothing you've heard before!

  • OMG can that lady sing!!!!!!

by Arlene on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The show was the epitomy of being "blown" away! From the very start with the lead singer of Wide Mouth Mason to both Ann and Nancy knocking our socks off. We danced at our seats, in the isle and in front of the stage. My ears are still ringing and only in a good way. We loved you Heart!!

  • She Still Has The Pipes

by Wench on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

After not really listening to Heart from start to finish in over 25 years it was amazing to hear them sing and be transported back to the 70's-80's. She's just as strong today as she was then. Both sisters put 100% in their performance, She covered a song that sounded even better than the original version 'powerfull'. Their new singles have a harder edge and just as rocking as ever. The new single 'Red Velvet Car' was amazing.. Wide Mouth Mason singer beforehand also was really enjoyable, but it didn't leave much time for Heart and they didn't sing Dreamboat Annie which was a bit disappointing, everyone around us thought that would be the final song.

it took a while for them to come out but once they did it was a terrific show, ann just has a amazing voice, they played all the old favs plus some awesome new stuff, they still got it. a little disapointed they did'nt do do dream boat annie.

  • We're still Crazy on Heart!

    by KM526 on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Went to the beautiful Orpheum Theater in Vancouver to see Heart on March 9, 2010. Gotta say, it had been a few years since I last saw them play (yeah - 30 years!). The energy from the crowd was palpable - we were all so excited and couldn't wait. They came out and the crowd went wild, with many people leaving their seats and going to stand up at the front. They opened strong with "Barracuda" and the show went from there. Nancy, gorgeous as ever, sounds as fabulous as ever. She is, undoubtedly, one of the best guitarists of our generation. The rest of the band was competent and talented. Ann, queen of the night, was amazing! Her voice is as strong and as fluid as it was 35 years ago. She sounds fantastic!! She still hits all the high notes. This is one woman whose voice has not been ravaged by years of drug abuse, like Whitney Houston (come on, you know it's true). Simply put, the sisters both rock and they sound better than ever. If there was a negative, I would have to say that I found I left the concert feeling somewhat disappointed; they did not play "Dog and Butterfly" or "Dreamboat Annie", two songs which, IMO, define this band. I fully understand that 90 minutes' worth of material is standard for a band, but people in the crowd were shouting out for "Dreamboat Annie", which I know has been in the encore of previous concerts.

  • The girls were great

by Jerrinator on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The opening act was not very good, but when Heart took the stage the were awesome. Amazing how after all these years the girls voices can still hit it.

  • Great Pipes

by Rooti on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

Ann Wilson can still belt it out with the best of 'm. Nancy rocks on guitar... Why do they feel the need to have the concert so loud to the point of distortion...esp for the opening song Barracuda.

  • Amazing show

by Moebear on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Was totally blown away by the energy and sound, it was a fantastic experience; Heart really knows how to rock their audience.

  • HEART AT THE ORPHEUM VANCOUVER

by Trulu on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

They were amazing - those girls can still rock with the best of them!!! They put many of the new crop of females out there posing as singers to shame!!!! Nancy is a fantastic guitarist and Ann can still belt it out like no one else! Great concert!

  • Heart Still Rock!

    by roadstar1954 on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Great venue, great band. Anne and Nancy Wilson can still bring it and rocked hard playing some of their oldies mixed in with some new material that showed promise. The sisters displayed their extreme talent as vocalists and musicians throughout the night. Once the music started the crowd surged towards the stage meaning that everyone in the theatre not in the balcony had to stand throughout. My wife was not happy having worn shoes more suiting to an evening out. Why did we buy the most expensive seats in the house again??

  • Heart rocked the house!

by DivaD on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

An amazing evening! The venue seemed a little "intimate" for such an amazing rock band. It was extremely loud for such an intimate setting and because of that a bit distracting, but it still worked and they rocked it out! GM Place would have been a better venue. They could have toned down the speakers or adjusted their audio a little as it would have been nicer to hear their voices - was hard to hear them over the band. Very sexy bass guitarist! A fantastic concert, but not long enough - at least another 30 mins would have been great with a few more of their hits. Loved it!

  • Heart was truly awesome

Nothing more can be said but we left with our ears ringing! Excellent band and great trip down memory lane but way too loud!
