About

Heart formed in Seattle, Washington in 1973 and have rocked on through the years under the sibling core of Ann and Nancy Wilson. The group has released 16 studio albums, hitting the Top 10 seven times and topping the Billboard 200 with 1985’s Heart. The band have sold nearly 35 million albums worldwide. Early rock staples such as “Crazy on You,” "Barracuda” and “Magic Man” gave way to greater mainstream success in the ’80s with the group’s first Hot 100 chart-toppers, "These Dreams" in 1986 and "Alone” in 1987. Despite developing their own solo careers after their first hiatus in 1995, the Wilson sisters have reunited as Heart several times. In 2013, Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band have received four career Grammy nominations and received The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.

  • Heart Powerful & Entertaining!

by Treasure on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

This Heart concert at the Orpheum was excellent. Ann & Nancy Wilson performed like the seasoned professionals that they are. They nailed all of their top songs with precision and "heart"-felt enthusiasm. This was a rockin show!! These girls can sing and harmonize!!! They played 4 new songs from their upcoming new album and the rest was one hit after another...wow!

  • Heart Rocks and Soothes your Soul

by TomElgin on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

They rocked the house and everyone was standing the entire time. Then their new material and some select past songs soothed your soul and the whole thing gelled I actually had goosebumps during "what about love" and the near accapella "Alone" blew everyone away! Loved it and would see them again in a heart beat! Tom

  • love Heart, did not love the sound quality

    by wildrose501 on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

Anne and Nancy Wilson still got it! One of the few lead rock singers, who after all these years, can still belt it out. She was absolutely amazing. Didn't miss a beat. I'm sure the awful sound quality had to do with the theatre, and not the band. For that reason i wouldn't recommend the concert to a friend. They could have turned it down a notch and still would have had great energy.

  • Heart Concert Orpheum

by Mandolin on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

The back up band was ok but should have played for 1/2 the time. A lot of people left after a while and came back when Heart came on. Heart - they were very good but way too loud. The thing about being that loud is that you don't get to hear all the wonderful musicality going on. It's just screaming loud. I enjoyed the show but their best pieces with the loudest applause were the ones done at the slighter softer volumes. ALONE was AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • disappointing

by jmhs on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5

I was disappointed when I arrived at 8 to discover an opening act-which i didn't enjoy. Next, the music during the intermission was so loud it was uncomfortable. Finally Heart appeared and everyone immediately stood up and started screaming. Nancy and Ann are fantastic but the band was too loud, almost drowning them out at times. From now on I'm going to stick to events at Riverock and Red Robinson theatre.

  • Wilson ladies Rock!!

by Wenpoo on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Heart now 3 times in my life, this show was just as amazing as the first time I saw them at Empire Stadium! The Orpheum is an awesome venue for Heart. I alway felt they were a part of Vancouver.

  • Heart was amazing

by fiobin on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent concert, Anne Wilson still has incredible vocal range and Nancy can play a mean guitar amongst other instruments, the mandolin was a cool touch. I think their new album will be worth the listen if the songs they played last night are an indication. Especially liked Red velvet car.

  • Ann and Nancy were fantastic!

by IzzyBee on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Last time I saw Heart was over 20 years ago! That was a terrific concert too. Those ladies can sure rock and Ann's voice was on top form. They played a selection of old favourites then some tunes from their "to be released soon" album.... then back to the 70s and 80s to finish up. They included a surprise Zeppelin rendition in the encore. The rest of the band was good too - especially the keyboards and lead guitar - but they had only a cursory mention at the end.

  • Heart rocks

by dobler on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

The ladies really stood the test of time. They put on a great show. The music was superb. The sound was distorted at times. Overall a great concert.

  • Heart was all that I remember

by Onceaminer on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

One of my favourite female rock bands from the past. It was an amazing concert with many of their old songs which we grew up singing as well as great performances on their new titiles.

  • The Wilson sisters have Pipes!

by JaxxBlues on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert, Ann and Nancy can still belt them out, as good or better than 30 years ago! We'd see them again anytime. The Orpheum was a perfect venue.

  • Heart, Anne Wilson was amazing!

    by MTC1 on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Great mix of old and new. The Wilson sisters can still belt it out with the best.

  • Stunning!

    by grannie3 on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Ann's vocals are as good today as they were at the beginning and Nancy's talent on the strings are simply the best by far.

  • What a great show!

by yvrgal on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Heart's been around for a long time but their live performance at the Orpheum last night looks as if they are just fresh out of the music scene. Nancy's energy on the guitar and Ann's powerful vocals really carried the show besides the fact that they played so many great songs on stage. It was my first time to see them live and it will never be the last. The Orpheum is a fantastic venue and I hope they rock again in this beautiful theatre.

  • HEART - simply amazing

by BuddysFriend on 2010-03-10Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Simply loved the ladies, Ann Wilson can still belt out a great song and she's the queen of rock. Nancy's guitar is spell binding. Lead singer from Wide Mouth Mason - what was that all about? Was he never going to leave the stage? Enough already - almost ruined a great show.

one of the best concerts - these chicks are still rocking hard !!!

  • Heart is better than ever!!

by CorCor on 2009-08-27Illinois State Fairgrounds Il State Fair - SpringfieldRating: 5 out of 5

Some friends and I travelled to see Heart with the Bangles at the Illinois State Fair on August 22nd, and it was more than worth every last cent! The Bangles got the show off to a great start. They played for about forty minutes and gave fantastic, strong performances of their hits (Walk Like An Egyptian, Eternal Flame...), with a few more obscure songs thrown in (Restless, Ride The Ride...). Having seen the Bangles multiple times, I can honestly say this was one of their strongest performances over the last couple of years. They gave it their all and more, and had a blast doing it. Not to mention that they still look as beautiful as ever. And then Heart came on. They were absolutely beyond words. Without a doubt they gave the greatest concert I have ever seen in my life. They sounded even better than they did on their records that came out decades ago! Ann Wilson has one of the strongest, most naturally gorgeous voices I have ever heard, and Nancy Wilson has the most incredible energy you could imagine. They played most of their big hits (Barracuda, Crazy On You, Alone, Never...), as well as some more obscure tracks, and some tracks from their upcoming new album. They even covered Led Zeppelin and The Who!! This show was absolutely incredible and I would absolutely go see both the Bangles and Heart again together, or individually, and I think everyone else should too!!

Great Band. Lighting system was underutilized but still dynamic. Other then the kick drum being too loud the concert was fabulous
