About

Heart formed in Seattle, Washington in 1973 and have rocked on through the years under the sibling core of Ann and Nancy Wilson. The group has released 16 studio albums, hitting the Top 10 seven times and topping the Billboard 200 with 1985’s Heart. The band have sold nearly 35 million albums worldwide. Early rock staples such as “Crazy on You,” "Barracuda” and “Magic Man” gave way to greater mainstream success in the ’80s with the group’s first Hot 100 chart-toppers, "These Dreams" in 1986 and "Alone” in 1987. Despite developing their own solo careers after their first hiatus in 1995, the Wilson sisters have reunited as Heart several times. In 2013, Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band have received four career Grammy nominations and received The Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.

  • Enjoyable

We really enjoyed the show very much and it took us down memory lane. The only thing we would have liked is for Heart not to play other singers/band songs. We went to see them because we enjoy their own music, whether it is their past or present music. Thanks Heart for a great night.!

  • Heart still has it!

by Tracy on 2009-07-13Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

As always, my girls sang, played and performed to please. I'll keep going to see them as long as they are still willing to come play for me! The only downside was that they only played for 90 minutes. It would have been nice if they had played an hour, taken a 15 min. break, then played for another hour, if not more.

Good Show. Those girls still know how to rock. Little disappointed the show was so short but I guess that's why the price was so low. Should've played more of their own music like "Dreamboat Annie" not so much other artists music. I'd pay more to see more. All in all a good show.

  • Heart was amazing, what a voice!

After all this time you wonder, will she be able to hit the notes. Her voice is amazing, it is better now....How can this be? She sounds like an opera singer. I would highly recommend every one to go see Heart.

  • Heart was heart stopping

I would just like to say, if you were a Heart fan back in the day like I was, you need to see them again. The vocals were unbeleivable. Ann still has it. She could blow today's singers away. Nancy is still a firecracker. She is all over the stage playing guitar. I would recommend seeing them to anyone.

  • Heart - Still amazingly talented.

    by Sunshine99 on 2009-07-13Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

I must admit, I hadn't seen Heart in over 15 years, but I was still suitably impressed. Uncertain how they would sound, I was skeptical. However, they came through beautifully. Vocals were crisp and clear, instrumentals amazing. They only slightly negative point was they performed too many cover songs. Although they do incredible covers (including the Immigrant Song), I would have preferred to see them choose more songs from their own collection of hits. Regardless, I wouldn't hesitate to see them again.

Show was very good overall. Sound mixing needed help. Her voice was drowned out by the intruments at first, then there was too much volume on their voices, to the point where is was uncomfortable to listen to without hearing protection.

I was sooo stoked to see Heart! I drove down from North Bay and couldn't believe I was finally going to see them. I have been listening to Heart for EVER! The show was awesome - WHAT THERE WAS OF IT! It was hardly long enough to be called a concert! I couldn't believe it. I kept looking at my watch when it was over and asked someone what time it was - no, my watch was not wrong! I heard many other such grumbles as we all left, as well. A friend of mine who wanted an autograph on the CD she bought there was unceremoniously escorted out by security. This person is not a rowdy nut, she and her husband were there for their 25th wedding anniversary.

  • Heart still rocks!

by steelyfan on 2009-07-12Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

The Wilson sisters still know how to put on a show. Having seen the band many times over the last 24 years in various venues, I am impressed by the quality of the musicianship and the fact that approaching sixty, Ann Wilson exquisitely sings songs note for note dating from the beginning of the Heart catalogue. The sisters build rapport witht their audience and mix things up by including cover tunes from artisits including Tom Petty and The Who. In typical Heart fashion they performed two Led Zeppelin covers, harkening back to their pre-Heart days as the Lovemongers. You can see the influence that Jimmy Page had on the young Nancy Wilson in her guitar playing still to this day. The highlight of the evening was a stunning rendition of "Soul of the Sea" from the 1976 Dreamboat Annie album. Ann's vocals were powerful and heavenly. The one area I see as possibly disappointing for first timers to a Heart show is that 4 of the songs in the set list were cover tunes. This can only mean that four less Heart songs were performed, One cover is acceptable but let's face it-fans paid to see a Heart concert!

  • Heart is always amazing!!!

I was totally impressed with how well they played and how hard they played. Well worth the price of admission!

  • Heart was awesome, they rocked.

My husband and I went to the Heart concert at Casino Rama, first time at this venue for a concert, were very impressed. Heart was amazing, the energy level/sound/talent was out of this world.

  • Still rocking!

by rltmeng on 2009-07-12Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

What a great show. They sounded amazing. Just wish it would have lasted longer.

  • Heart's music never dies, but concert too short

by Olala on 2009-07-12Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

The last time I saw Heart was at Maple Leaf Gardens in the eighties. Ann and Nancy still have the amazing voices they had back then, however Ann's energy level has considerably decreased as she took every opportunity to sit down when not singing. It was great to hear the classics and the few Led Zeppelin songs that they belted. My real criticism was that the show was way too short. My husband and I arrived at the concert twenty minutes late because of the traffic from the city and I was shocked that the show ended at 9:30 (one hour and a half in total). I went to the Springsteen show a week before and felt that every dollar I spent was worth it as he performed for three hours. I'll stick to listening to my cd collection of Heart at home or in the car.

  • Heart- True Rock & Roll Legends.

by thepunisher on 2009-07-12The Seneca Niagara Events Center at Seneca Niagara Casino - Niagara FallsRating: 5 out of 5

From start to finish this has got to be one of my most favourite and most memorable concert that I have seen in a long time. Seeing the Wilson sister perform live for the very first time was simply "awesome"!! All songs from each decade sounded like I was listening to a cd. Monster hits like Alone, Never, Crazy On You, Magic Man and Barracuda sent shivers up my spine. Ann Wilson to this day, proves that she is still one of the greatest vocalist in rock music. Nancy Wilson showed the world way back in the 70's that a woman can rock the guitar just as good. My only regret is that it took me all this time to finally see them in concert. Believe me, I won't make the same mistake twice!!!!

  • Anne and nancy Rock!

Heart sounded exactly like what you would expect...INCREDIBLE ! The sound, music and passion were unsurpassed. I would definitely see this band live again...and again !
