    Hockey in August

by David on 2022-08-18Rogers Place - Edmonton

The bad. Price of tickets was high, which deterred many that otherwise would have gone to the game. 4:00 PM start time not ideal, but understand that Eastern time Zone influences were greater than that have people actually going to the game. It was 30 degrees and my favourite treat inside the arena, an ice cream float that is usually sold behind Section 112 was unavailable because the concession stand did not open. The good. Canada won. Bedard and McTavish scored goals on NHL calibre shots. It was worth going to the game because of the usual marquee that goes with Christmas season that makes tickets to Canada games hard or near impossible to get.

    Disappointed

by Disappointment on 2022-08-18Rogers Place - Edmonton

Terrible atmosphere. Payed more to sit in a section when in reality people could just sit anywhere and nothing was enforced. Only two concessions open in the entire rink. Waste of time and money. Should never have the world juniors in summer.

    1st ever WJ game

by Aussie B on 2022-08-18Rogers Place - Edmonton

Where to begin, I’ve always wanted to go see a game….. and well I did w my son Krosby. We both had a chance to enjoy some time w a stadium full of great hockey fans. Lots of laughs, chants to keep the boyz on the ice going on the 5-3 pk and oh ya sent the ladies shopping. Thanks to everyone in Edmonton for your hard work putting on such a great show. To our boyz on the ice, pitter patter, get atter, gold is waiting for you 🤘. Austin Baker

    Please read below

by Deb on 2022-08-18Rogers Place - Edmonton

Too late to finish …. Summer Unfortunate to see the fan turn out was so low even at the Canada games. Ridiculous how Canada tickets were priced so much higher. Maybe lower all prices of games and have same price for all games and you’d fill the venue. And make it possible that any hockey fan could attend a game without paying over priced tickets for what they are watching ! Junior teams for Hockey Canada are getting a bad reputation and embarrassing. So maybe concentrate on celebrating all countries participating and encourage all to watch any game! Not sure we’d support Canada Junior games again Gong show of a organization and over priced for what it’s about

    Great first game.

by Ex nhl fan on 2022-08-18Rogers Place - Edmonton

Took my 6 year old daughter to her first hockey game. There was more people working the game then fans watching the game. It was great for her. Loved the 12, 4, 8oclock option. Choice 12 as it was when she is at her best. The show was first class even with the bad attendance. Hockey was great.

    Over priced

by Cory on 2022-08-18Rogers Place - Edmonton

Very few fans in the stands due to tickets being over priced. This limits fan and player experience due to the greed of corporations. We paid the big price to support as much as we could but will not do that again.

    Over Priced

by Canadian Fan on 2022-08-16Rogers Place - Edmonton

The kids played hard and it was a good game but the stands were empty. Knowing that this was the 3rd time they scheduled this tournament, they should have decreased the ticket prices and filled the stands. You're not going to fill hockey stands in August charging like its December.

The price out weighs the entertainment value

by Markus on 2022-08-16Rogers Place - Edmonton

Edmonton has done a sloppy job by promoting these games.. for starters the price is outrageous for tickets, and concessions..lack of merchandise. Basically none.. very bad job edmonton... . Honesty i would rather have 3 dimes instead of a quarter.

    Saw finland vs slovakia

    by C. P. on 2022-08-15

Great game but the price is ridiculous. Also why not lower the price last minute if the place is empty. Too expensive for families

    Great tournment

    by Love Hockey on 2022-08-15

Caliber of hockey is fantastic. We have purchased tickets to the entire series. ZERO star for how they are managing seat sections. Do not like that we purchased club seats and that its a free for all to sit wherever people want and that the club level facilities are closed for all games except for some like the Canada games. Food options are very minimal and waits are long even at the quieter games.

Good hockey, dismal time for Hockey Canada to be hosting.

by Mama Kiv on 2022-08-14Rogers Place - Edmonton

It was great to be able to watch this elite hockey event, but not having very many other spectators certainly diminished the experience I had come to expect. The cost of tickets were a definite detractor. We may hander attendees more games, if it was affordable for a family.

    Amazing tournament but poorly organized

by HockeyIsLife on 2022-08-12Rogers Place - Edmonton

Absolutely amazing level of hockey. Pleasure to be there and enjoying watching every game. However, there hardly any spectators. How come ? There are so many kids play hockey. It’s because prices for tickets. Organizers should have made discount tickets available to junior hockey teams and other kids. Fill up Roger Place with hockey kids would make this tournament so much better

    No fans

by RB on 2022-08-12Rogers Place - Edmonton

Couldn’t believe how few people were there, made it challenging to enjoy the vibe and atmosphere that would normally accompany the World Juniors.
