About

In certain serendipitous cases, a band’s name perfectly encapsulates their essence, and heavy metal rockers In This Moment are a case in point - the sheer power and immediacy Maria Brink’s vocals make it difficult to be anywhere else. Simultaneously vulnerable and snarling, Brink’s emotional growl is a focal point on 2012’s Blood, the band’s 4th – and most successful – album to date. Singles like “Blood” and “Whore” pulled no punches, landing the album at No. 1 on the Billboard Hard Rock chart and cementing Brink’s place as one of the dominant female voices in alternative metal. After forming in Albany in 2005, the band’s 2007 debut Beautiful Tragedy quickly made them a metal festival staple and the opening act of choice for bands like Megadeth and Rob Zombie. Their 3rd album, 2010’s A Star-Crossed Wasteland, was a crossover success, landing at No. 1 on the Independent Albums chart and spawning a hit with “The Promise”. On Tour in 2013, the band has been blowing ticket buyers away with their thundering live concert, pulling fans into the moment with Brink’s commanding presence.

    45 Minutes of Fill !!

by Sexyss on 2017-11-10Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Thanks for nothing "In This Moment". The bass player who filled in obviously only knew a couple of songs cuz that's all we got!! Avatar was the best aside from the corny vocalist. I don't think the lead singer of "Mice and Men" moved more than putting his foot down from the front grate. Then came "Hollywood Undead". Nice voice over on the difficult parts!! Entertaining. They were the only bright spots in a disappointing show. The End

    Excellent show

by Duckmanisdunk on 2017-11-10Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Absolute great show.... learned from past experience that the acoustics were not very good on the floor level. We choose this time to get tickets on the upper level which was much better for sound and view. For the next show I think we will look for tickets on the first level upper seats as close to the railing as possible.

Hollywood Undead put on a great show!

by melsky on 2017-11-10Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

This was a great show - Hollywood Undead exceeded my expectations with the performance that was put on. I was not ready for them to get off the stage as every song was put on perfectly and the show was entertaining. In This Moment delivered a good show as well but costume changes took away from the show and took too much time for my liking.

Great concert, in this moment is a one time show.

by JimmyLonghorn99 on 2017-11-10Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Opening acts were great, seats were excellent, sound was perfect. Hollywood undead was beyond great/ their lights were a little to much at times. And in this moment was good, to much of theatrical I come for the music not that, they played less music cause of all the wardrobe changes. It was good music and they are great performers, one time show for me.

    Amazing talent, poor venue

by Canadiancutie on 2017-11-08Shaw Conference Centre - Edmonton

Unfortunately, the evening started on a sour note because we had zero direction from security which line was which. This caused frustration for those waiting to get into the venue as people were cutting in line. Fortunately, the entertainment quickly removed any ill feelings when they took to the stage. Avatar, as usual, blew the crowd away with their stage presence and pure talent. Everyone in attendance wished they played more songs, as did I. After seeing them at Rock-fest in Wisconsin, I knew what to expect. It was disappointing that they only had the stage for a very short time. Especially when the second act didn't compare. Of Mice and Men were a let down after a great talent like Avatar. The bill should have had them first. The third band to hit the stage, Hollywood Undead, brought their "A" game and entertained the pants off of us! Which was a relief ofter Of Mice and Men. In This Moment, owned the stage, and Maria's voice captivated us on the first note. The only disappointing aspect was that the operator of the fog machine needed to lay off... for the first 5 songs we couldn't see anything... we just heard her magnificent voice. All in all, I hope to see all the bands visit our fair city again, I just hope it's at a better, more organized venue.

Hollywood Undead amazing; In this Moment sucked

by Mariok on 2017-11-08Shaw Conference Centre - Edmonton

Hollywood undead should have headlined this event. They were amazing and had a great energy. Not sure if lead singer for In this Moment was high or not...carried songs on wayyy to long, everything was off tempo and took 5-7 minute breaks between songs. First concert that I have left after only 5 songs because the quality was that bad...in fact when we left so did 100s of others.

In This Moment was amazing, if brief.

by Liquidity on 2017-11-05Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

I had been waiting several years to see In This Moment so was very excited to see them come to Vancouver. When they came on I was shocked at how theatrical they made the show given the smallish stage and venue. Sound was incredible and Maria Brink sounded AMAZING! She sounded so good I was wondering if she was lip syncing, lol. (She def wasn`t) They played about an hour... playing mostly songs from their newest album plus a couple of old favorites. I would love to see them again but do a longer setlist. While the theatrics were great, the costume changes for Maria between songs took up quite a bit of time so they only played 8 or so songs. Hollywood Undead put on a fantastic show as well. They played way more songs.

Everyone should see this show. Maria Brinks voice is sheer power and the band is as heavy as it gets.

    Fantastic Show!

by RugbyJagger on 2017-04-23The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Unfortunately, I missed Gemini Syndrome, but everything I saw was great. The production value was amazing, and it really was a show. It was my first time seeing Avatar and In This Moment, and neither disappointed.

In this moment was way overrated !!!

by Sugarprince on 2017-04-19The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

This was the first time I have seen " In this moment " live By no fault of the band - This goes to the organizers , the communication on the scheduling was very poor! On the ticket , All it said was doors was opening at 5.30 , I had no idea what time the show was starting or who was opening for them .Some knew, good for them as they may have had the time to research it, as a very busy 45yr old working individual I did not have time instead I was looking forward to seeing the band on the day Ironically the opening bands did much better job than the actual band I went to see They rocked the house for 3 hours Then 'In this moment " comes on stage....She sounded horrible live ( realized the technology in recording studios are amazing ) they can make anybody sing, she was stiff , like a log moving ( or barely ) on the stage, I was very disappointed...I`ll stick to watching my favorite music videos on them pretending this live show did not happen Overrated - I left after 3 songs

In This Moment and Friends were FANTASTIC

by Jaxx972 on 2017-04-19The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

The music was incredible....the bands all top notch! Each one of them have me searching for their music and following on social media for more. In This Moment was as I had hoped...powerful...raw...entertaining...beautiful...fun. A little too much steam bursts though...hard to see the full beauty...and I must say a hell of a hot venue :) shorts and tanks required! Too much time between sets can be a real buzz kill ...takes the energy down a bit but the band brought it back.
