Solid show in an amazing venue

by dfcson on 2014-06-11Saenger Theatre New Orleans - New Orleans

Any visit to NOLA is always going to be great, bur seeing Jack White in a theatre like this is HUGE bonus. With such a massive body of work to already cover, including everything would be impossible, but there was a good mix of most of his career (altho I preferred his setlist from London UK in 2012). The inclusion of a song within a song within a song was a little distracting at times, but this was a tidy solution to the aforementioned list to consider. Great backup band (as always) who alternately raged and flowed behind Jack as needed. Can't say enough about the Saenger too, full of atmosphere, class and a hint of turn of the century opulence.

    SPECTACULAR

by jennybeansf on 2013-03-26Sony Center - Toronto

I would have gone anywhere to see Jack White, his talent combined with this venue was mind blowing. Pure freaking genius and probably one of the best concerts I have seen and ever will.

I will follow Jack White anywhere

by jpru on 2012-10-17Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

This concert out of all of the concerts I have seen(40+) was in my top 5. The venue was the best I have ever been to and I hope there are more shows that I want to go to, happening there. The sound, the seats the musician - A 1 quality. The opener was the best I had ever seen as well.

I've seen a lot of phenomenal shows but this was by far the best. I would've killed to see both of his Toronto concerts. They jammed almost every song, played off each other's energy and rocked so hard you could feel their souls. My brother and I pooped unicorns. There's a reason why this man jammed with Jimmy Page (It Might Get Loud).

Jack White Why you so awesome

by ThePinosaur on 2012-10-12Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

At first I was a bit concerned about what kind of music Jack would play because he has very little solo stuff. But he was awesome!!! he played stuff from Blunderbuss, White Stripes and The Raconteurs. I got to see him with the girl band which was very fun he seemed very playful with them. The show overall was amazing and I would totally recommend it.

    It Might Get Loud

by Sporky on 2012-10-12Sony Theatre - Toronto

.......and it definitely did. Good show with lots of energy, but sound (from the top balcony) was very distorted. No excuse for that given the venue.

    Jack White is legendary!!!

by guitarroller on 2012-10-12Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

The show was an unbelievable experience. He played with his all female band and they were really good. Jack was awesome he's the music legend of my generation and I am pleased I was able to go see him. Standing three rows back looking at a musician you hold in high regard is a once in lifetime experience.

Jack White always brings the goods

by papap on 2012-10-10Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Sony Centre for Performing Arts is a great small venue that suits Jack White's show brilliantly. The band was amazing and Jack never disappoints. The hardest working frontman in music. I would go to this show again if it comes back.

    Poor Sound at Jack White

by badsoundjwhite1004 on 2012-10-10Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

We were 16 rows from the stage - just left of stage. the sound was awful. The drums were extremely loud and everything else is was muffelled, including Jack's voice. For the encore we moved to the soundboard and the sound was fine.....

    Loved it!

by CKDB on 2012-10-09Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Loved the show, loved the band and LOVED Jack White. Pure genius! Wish there was a little more Stripes music, but was more than happy with the heavy Blunderbuss-weighted setlist.

Jack White and The Peacocks Deliver

by crazyshow on 2012-10-09Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Excellent show. Jack White made you feel like you were on stage with him. Songs were all played at a faster tempo and so raw compared to the album. Truly amazing performers who didn't rely on much more other than making their instruments sing.

    Love Jack White

by sunshinedaydream on 2012-10-08Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Amazing show! Sony Centre is one of Toronto's best for live music, intimate with great acoustics. Pokey LaFarge and the South City Three opened the show and had the crowd going right off the hop. Fantastic band and I think they may be returning to Toronto this spring...def worth checking out. Jack brought out the Buzzards for his Thursday night show, they had the crowd dancing straight on to the 7 nation army encore. I've seen a lot of shows (at least 300+) and this was by far one of the best! Jack White shines with such energy and creativity he truly captivates the crowd. I think I fell in love ;) Cheers,

Outstanding! We saw the second show with the all male band and everyone was spectacular. He played from his new album and all sorts of songs from the White Stripes, the Raconteurs and Dead Weather. I was regretting not going to both shows!!!

    Beauties and the Guitar Beast!

by DRave on 2012-10-07Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Jack White and his six beauties in long and short dresses ripped it at the Sony Centre. They put on an amazing show, blistering through a great set of Jack's long list of tunes. The only down side of the night was that the sound system was off at times, especially for the first couple of tunes. Distortion and washed out vocals. Or sometimes the multitude of different instruments (guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, fiddle, steel sliding guitar, piano) were lost in a sea of noise. For any other artist this would have ruined the show. But Jack's high energy and killer guitar saved the night. Ball and Biscuit was the highlight. Great night. We need more of Jack White.

    Amazing

by Riehl on 2012-10-06Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

The show was amazing. Better than Wednesday nite. The man band is a lot edgier than the country ladies.

Beautifully chaotic. I loved his female band, The Peacocks! It was a good mix of his solo stuff, White Stripes, Raconteurs, and The Dead Weather.
