Jake Bugg was. .. perfect, simply perfect

by Pask on 2018-04-04Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Drove from Edmonton to Vancouver to see Jake Bugg. And after the show thought to myself, I even could have walked that distance without any regret. This show is worth it. Was amazing, so good

A PASSIONATE NIGHT OF STORY TELLING

by timleyes on 2017-12-05The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

'On My One' Jake Bugg's latest tour, solo this time, brought him to The Danforth Music Hall tonight. The underrated English troubadour filled the room strongly with skilled guitar and passionate vocals. The beautiful guitar work on Strange Creatures and touching cover of Neil Young's 'The Needle and the Damage Done' were highlights. I was hoping for Jimmy Webb's 'Wichita Lineman' which he covered in Chicago last week. A passionate night of story telling. .

    Jake bugg is ADORABLE!!!

by courtay on 2014-01-29Orpheum - Vancouver

Soooo good! He is so unpretentious...tshirt & jeans. No "witty banter" with the crowd...just solid gold music. Sounded incredible!!!! Only downer: the crowd really seemed to be standing around, hands in pockets, waiting for the radio hit. Huuuuge energy damper!!!!

    Amazing

by Nkle on 2014-01-22Métropolis - Montreal

I had the best night ever. The shins were new to me, but they are brilliant! amazing voices and the sound was spectacular. Then Albert Hammond Jr. I've been waiting so long to see him live. I am a huge fan of the strokes and I've been following Hammond since he presented his first solo album. Then Jake Bugg!! I can't describe with words how fantastic presentation it was! amazing!

    Jake has something very special

by HeyLegg on 2014-01-21Métropolis - Montreal

I worked the music industry for about 20 years andhave seen countless live shows. This gig had 2 opening acts, the Skins, very forgettable, and Albert Hammond Jr., a little more memorable, he ought to work in a cover of his heritage, "It Never Rains In California" ; P just to shake people's brains a bit. It seemed like a long wait for Jake, but well worth the wait. The crowd, consisting of multiple age groups, often sang along. At least 2 of his songs definitely tug on my heart strings, one of those being "A Song About Love", which he wisely saved for one of the encore songs. I love his vision and wisdom and all of this from a very young but well seasoned young man. I'm an old hippie who believes in the youth of today.

    Jake Bugg

Good show. I loved the fills/solos Jake played during the concert that showed his guitar skills and made his songs better live than they are on the recordings.
