Great show have seen James Taylor many times will go back to the CMAC again
Awesome show. Tight band. Great storyteller! Having his wife and son sing backup was a nice touch.
The seats were great and loved the tunes. A bit hard to hear the lyrics at times but it might be the way he was singing them. Otherwise no complaints whatsoever.. Oh the $5 water was interesting!
I drove from Hamilton, ON to Moline to see James Taylor, and the show was so great! It was just as magical as I imagined it would be. I'm so happy I got to see James Taylor!
I was in first year University when "Sweet Baby James" was released and have been a James Taylor fan ever since. I have always wanted to see him in concert and finally seized the opportunity these many years later. All I can say is, that James and the professional musicians and vocalists he surrounds himself with, was an amazing musical experience! James Taylor is not only a polished performer, but he genuinely appears to be still enjoying playing the songs that he has built his career on. Sometimes, you get the feeling when you hear an artist from the 60's & 70's, that they don't truly enjoy playing the hits that they've played for years, but I didn't feel that with James Taylor. He seemed truly appreciative of his loyal following and rewarded us with what we came to hear. The songs we all grew up with and still love to listen to... Taylor-made for his audiences.
Was a Bucket List item must for me that I was thrilled to check off. I have admired Mr. Taylor since my teens. His classics will never be anything but and his new tunes (CD in the making right now!) are lovely. The set and lights were just right for the ambiance he exudes. His band were wonderful. First time I have witnessed such grace - when introducing each band member, he walked over to them and shook their hands. Mr. Taylor is quite humourous as well...spoke about each song and had a story to tell. Thank you Mr. Taylor.
James provided a delightful summer evening! As always he was warm and funny between songs. Who could ever tire of this mellow performer who balances older and new work. Once again he proved that a James Taylor concert will never disappoint! Since 1971 when he came along with Joni Mitchell to the Saturday night show of Mariposa on Centre Island James has been a summer (or winter) treat in Toronto.
It was amazing night. His voice never changes............always perfect! It just kept on playing. Almost 3 hours Can't wait till he comes back. The Molson Amphitheatre was a really good choice of venue. Loved every minute
James was marvelous and the band was out of this world. All the best musicians. The concert was first class. Definitely, we got our moneyès worth. The banter was interesting and entertaining. The length of the concert was amazing
James Taylor was fabulous on Thursday. His voice was was clear and beautiful as when he began singing in the 60's. The crowd adored him.
James did lots of hits and a few new ones. voice is fading a bit with age but amazing none the less.
What a perfect night, just the sound of a few planes taking off between songs during the first set. Everything was just so great, from James's voice, to the great supporting artists in his All-Star Band, to the overall experience. Not sure who had more fun, James and the band or the audience!
One of my all-time favourite concerts. His voice is as good as ever, and interaction with the audience is too funny. Was on hands and knees at edge of stage so fans could take selfies with him, and stayed long after the last encore to sign autographs and shake hands. Must have played and sang for two and a half hours, and his band/singers are amazing! Well worth every penny, a must- see.
Not only amazing music , but he was engaging on stage in between songs and after. Very accommodating to fans who wanted autographs.
Amazing show. JT sounds as great today as he did when he recorded all those hits! Accompanied by a large and multi talented band and vocal group! Really adds to the show, JT really interacts well with the audience. Its like a large kitchen party,
Seeing Jame Taylor in concert has been on my bucket list...and he and his band did not disappoint me. He was wonderful...and the guy has not aged, nor has his voice! or his energy
Started out not knowing what to expect, I was going in with an open mind. James Taylor was not my pick of concerts, but our group wanted to go so we did. I really didn't know what to accept or what his concert would be like. James Taylor is a professional and truly appreciates his audience and wasn't in a hurry to finish to leave the stage . He had a remarkable stage presence and a great onstage personality. In the end I was pleased that we attended the concern it was very good.
Drove from Moncton, New Brunswick to see the concert and do a little shopping. The venue Cross Insurance Center is a fabulous. I can't say enough about James Taylor. His voice is just as good as it was 20 years ago. He sang every song that I would have wanted to hear and gave me goose bumps singing some of his classics, i.e. Fire and Rain, Carolina on my mind, Sweet Baby James..... He had a band of 11 excellent musicians/singers to accompany him. All in all it was a great time. I would go back again in a heartbeat! James, just in case you read this, you have to come to the east coast of Canada to perform.....it would be a sell out!
went to see this at the new bangor cross center on sunday. JT still has his voice, took us on a sentimental journey right back to the 70's ..highly recommend
the concert was fabulous James is an incredible entertainer, so talented. He spent the time his band took for a break signing autographs, cheers to him. My only complaint would be the venue for James I would much prefer to see him in a theatre style setting but all in all well worth the money and time to travel to the States to see him.
