CAROLE KING AND JAMES TAYLOR ROCKED MY WORLD

by STEVIENICKS on 2010-07-20MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

I have travelled the world over the years to see concerts...but NOTHING compared to Carole King and James Taylor in Las Vegas last Saturday. Myself as others around me were in awe of the spell they bound over the packed Garden Arena. Carole's voice took my breath away....... Thoughts of the concert bring tears to my eyes and a SMILE to my face. Thank you Carole and James for the best or the best in music ever... WOW..........

by kcsim on 2010-07-20MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

I saw Jt and CK in Seattle which was fabulous and had other friends want to see them so off we went to Vegas to....they were both awesome concerts, the audience in Seattle was better as we were able to get CK and JT back for more encores...but I loved loved loved both concerts and would go see them again, great to see two seasoned musicians still have it and the energy they have...fantastic!

    Better than ever!

by scoozy on 2010-06-07Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

Carole King and James Taylor sound as good as ever. I loved the concert in Nashville, it was a highlight of my visit from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Very nostalgic!! The piano volume was low on the first song but was fine by the next song. I loved the sound. Very crisp and clean. After the ear-blasting volume of the honky-tonks on Broadway, this was a welcome treat. "You Make Me Feel LIke a Natural Woman" has a highlight. I was hoping it would be on the CD but it's not. We loved listening to the CD as we drove to and from Memphis. I was in one of the furthest seats yet the concert still felt intimate. Lots of love. respect and good vibes. It is great to see two talented performers/collaborators truly share the stage. The band and background vocalists were excellent and were well-acknowledged by the lead singers. It made me feel very positive about getting older.

Carole King James Taylor Great Show!!!!!

    by hockeyfan7 on 2010-05-14KeyArena - Seattle

My first time in Seattle Key Arena, it was a marvelous venue for a concert of this nature. The stage was amazing, the tables beside the stage would have been sooo cool to watch from. All you Carole King, James Taylor fans, make sure you do not miss this opportunity to see these legends perform together! How many songs can you name...that were recorded by different artists....you love both versions....and you can see performed live...at the same time......"You've got a friend!" It was worth the price of admission just to hear that one song but there was sooo much more!!!!!! When they performed JT's "Shower the people" it was a very touching moment, listening closely to the lyrics brought tears to my eyes. Hearing Carole sing "Sweet Seasons" was also a highlight as it is my fav Carole King song! The encore featuring "The Locomotion" was also cool, to see the person who co-wrote this classic perform it live! I grew up listening to Tapestry and listening to Carole sing these brought back many fond memories! Thank you James and Carole for an unforgetable concert!

The show was amazing! The stage was one of the best I've ever seen, it would have been soooo cool to sit at one of those tables beside the stage. From start to the final encore, I loved every second of the show! How many songs can you name that were recorded by different artists, and you love both versions, and saw performed live............ like "you've got a friend" will you ever see again!!!

Thankful for James Taylor and Carole King's Music

by BaguioFan on 2010-05-10KeyArena - Seattle

The at Key Arena told me again and again that I was so lucky to have grown up to the music of these two amazing musicians. What a fortunate thing--to be able to hear my musical heroes' familiar melodies and lyrics again, but this time through the filter of a few more years along all of our own journeys. It was heartening to see James Taylor and Carole King take the passage of years so graciously. More than that, the songs were not just a collection of well-chosen and expertly-performed numbers. The whole evening reminded me that it has truly been okay to live in the times I have lived. No regrets--everything had a purpose; wouldn't change a thing. Just as Carole King wrote, "If it had been as I intended, I wouldn't have the peace I know. Loving the people I've befriended, and singing a song of long ago."
