Janet Jackson is an R&B and pop singer who has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and won five Grammys. As the 10th child of the famous Jackson family, the superstar began recording her own music in the early 1980s and broke out with the release of her third studio album, 1986’s Grammy-nominated Control. The album and its socially conscious follow-up, 1989’s Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814, established Jackson’s long collaboration with producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and helped pioneer the new jack swing genre. Smash albums like 1993’s Janet, 1997’s The Velvet Rope and 2001’s Grammy-nominated All For You followed, with Jackson amassing 10 No. 1 singles to her name. Jackson continued releasing music into the 2000s and earned another Top 20 hit with 2007’s “Feedback.” Her 2015 album, Unbreakable, peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and in 2022, she starred in JANET JACKSON., the first documentary series about her life, career and legacy.

Too short....Too many video's and tickets too expensive for what the concert provided. Sorry. I like Janet but a bit of a rip. Shortest concert I've ever been to!!
This was a great show for fans of Janet Jackson. She showed a lot of her past works in film and television. She dedicated a music video/song to the location (in our case it was Escapade dedicated to Vegas). She gave a tribute to someone from the area who was a fan and had done great things for the local community. She even did a nice homage to MJ. She played/performed to just about every song on her #1's album, but none in their entirety. Didn't run overly long for the concert and the price for tickets. We had to travel to see her, because there was no local shows for where we were from. It was sort of low energy with no opening act. If my wife wasn't such a huge fan, I would say that the cost of ticket for what we got wasn't worth it. But for diehard fans, it was. Plus, it was in Vegas!
Smaller venue than a regular concert so seating was great. Not a bad seat in the house at Caesars, with everyone standing and dancing in their seats the entire show. Pretty much a non stop show, going from one hit to the next so it seemed to be over quite quickly, about 1.5 hours total, which is your standard Vegas show. Would have liked to see more of an encore as the crowd was still going crazy for more. All in all it was still a great time.
I've been a long time fan of Janet and to finally be able to see her for the first time was absolutely a once in a lifetime experience. She definitely failed to disappoint. I really enjoyed the intimate setting that the Colosseum offered. Although I wish she would have performed longer than an hour and a half, she still put on an amazing show with great dancing and singing.
I've been twice before to Janet's concerts... at Skydome many years ago. With this smaller venue - and since she's not had a hit in years - I knew this would be different. The opening act was perhap enjoyable if you're a teen. For me, it was just loud. The Sony Centre is beaufifully refurbished. Too bad the show's technicians did take into consideration that the single video screen could not be viewed by all. From my seat, I could see only the bottom half. (There were several seats behind mine that would see less). The first 10 minute of the show is video - nothing more - so that was simply annoying. Janet looks great, and is an amazing dancer, but the show is overproduced. Too many medleys. WAY TOO LOUD. I left after 20 minutes into her performance, even though my ticket was ~$115
The smaller venue was a great idea! I have never felt so close to the stage! As always Janet killed the dancing! Loved the outfits! Loved the songs! Loved the energy of the crowd! It was a great night! One of the best Janet shows I have seen!
J. J. continues to mature. She is becoming more about the singing and dancing and less about the costumes and sleight-of-hand stage-effects. She can control the stage while showing us the good times and discussing the pleasure principles. Her voice and attitude have both matured and the crowd seemed to adulate the changes.
Miss Janet was amazing as usual. VIP tickets were incredible. The VIP lounge in Radio City Music Hall was beautiful and all the Janet merchandise we got was awesome. Janet rocked out all her # 1 Hits and was at her best form. Every dance step was on Q and right on key. High energy and the New York crowd responded with the same enthusiasm. It maybe Janets last tour so definately worth while to catch her while you can..
I love going to a Janet Jackson concert! Actually, I've been to all that she has had in Toronto & Hamilton. She's got great energy and fabulous choreography. BTW, loved the intimate feeling having it at the Sony Centre.
Janet is amazing and her energy is better than ever, in her 40's she looks and has more energy than ever!
Janet was amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing!!! The girl's still got it! Her singing and dancing was effortless and it was great to see her perform all her classics ... I could've have asked for a better concert experience! And the venue was perfect!
Janet Jackson can really put on a show. The dancing was awesome, very well choreographed. Some of her songs I had forgotten about but amazingly enough, remembered all the words to. She has this petite body and voice but when she sings, WOW. If you get a chance to go see one of her shows, definitely go it's well worth it.
The concert was great but there's always an issue with people standing at these smaller venues versus being at the ACC where it's expected. As much as you have the right to sit, I have the right to stand. We're at a concert. So there were a few who wouldn't sit down even when she was singing ballads and that of coarse upset some people behind them who couldn't see her which ensued some yelling and minor profanity. That's not cool from either party. They eventually moved (Not sure if they were escorted out or if their seats were upgraded) None the less they left and the others were happy. Janet still has it. Great dance moves and dancers. She didn't go as hard as she would've if she were younger but that's expected. lol Nice costumes, nothing too over the top and her body's still bangin'!! All in all it was a great show and I enjoyed myself. Thanks for coming back to T.O. Janet, or should I say Miss. Jackson.
Lame, low budget production. Rushed from song to song, combined with moments of boredom. Incredibly poor value for the money.
great concert, great review of her life and acting career. Wonderful songs, costumes, dancing, singing.....she has it all
