Janet Jackson Tickets

Janet was as expected - excellent. She had so many number one hits that it was good that she would do bits from several of her hits. This was better as it kept things moving. I was a little disappointed with the videos - I did not pay over $100 to see her videos I could see for free elsewhere and I really was not interested in her acting career but I realize that all of this was filler for her to take a breath from all the songs. Excellent correography - wouldn't expect anything less from the Jackson family. Overall a very well presented show.

Having seen Janet Jackson in venues such as Rogers Arena/GM Place, and the Pacific Coliseum, I have to say, I really liked the performance at Queen Elizabeth Theater! The tickets bought were Row 17, but we really could see Janet with no problems. The crowd was crazy as it was expected when Janet hit the stage. She played all of her numbered one songs, and I wasn't disappointed at all with the performance of the dancers, the band and Janet Jackson! One more thing, the dancers were amazing, the best I've seen in years! The only bad thing was the sound, There were times when they cranked the speakers to project a piercing sound and then they lowered it for a short period, then crank it back up. I think am still experiencing the ringing in my ears sensation after 2 nights from the concert!

a little disappointed with Janet this time. no costume changes, boring dancers and too many breaks between song 'medleys' (she didn't play more than 1 or 2 full songs). Was she on the stage more than 45 min of her 90 min show??? i don't think i'd pay $225 to see her again in a small venue. she rocks it at a real concert!

I'm not a mega fan but I was looking forward to a great show and it was dull and flat. She must have left the stage 5-6 times t o "take a break" from all her dancing and left us to watch the dancers, photo and video montages, and back up singers. Not even a costume change was involved. The dancing was impressive but I went to hear her sing and perform her songs. The show started late at 8:50 and was wrapped up with the encore and everything by 10:20. Not worth the cash at all and I'd betmy money that her giggle was lipsynced!

Janet sang all her hits, was very enthusiastic, and dancing was great.

The show starts out with an older video of Janet...I won't give away which one...but it gets you goin' right from the start! Her music is soooo danceable, that pretty much everyone was up on their feet dancing along with her, the whole time. During the show, there were lots of pictures of her throughout the years and towards the end, some with Michael, which as a Michael Jackson fan, brought a lump to my throat. Janet and Michael were my two favorite artists in the 80's and I continue to listen to them regularly. Janet has gotten in shape for the tour...her weight is terrific and I welcomed back her long hair :). Her smile is gorgeous and brightening. Her voice is strong as ever and there is some good dancing going on, on stage. The lights are good and she is beautiful...I have always thought that she has the most incredible smile ever! The hits just kept coming and coming and her back up band is very strong...sounds like a CD! Keep on touring Janet...I'll come to see you every single time you want to come back to Vancouver...as you could tell...we love you here!

Janet was half an hour late to start the concert. Everyone in the crowd was very anxious to see her. Once she came out I was out of my seat dancing and singing away. This is my third Janet concert and this being her #1's and up close and personal tour I feel it doesn't do Janet any justice. Janet is better experienced with a whole production and a larger setlist that spans more than her #1's. The concert was about an hour and a half and with no opening act it felt short and I left wanting more.

Janet continues to put on an unbelievable show. Never a dull moment and such a talent. Saw her back in '90 in T.O., again in '08 and now she's totally relaxed and better than ever in '11. The very best of the best...again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was unable to attend but gave my ticket to my daughter-in-law's sister. My daughter, daughter-in-law and her sister described the show as "fantastic, unbelievable, what a great entertainer, couldn't stay in our seats - wanted to dance." Congratulations on a great show

A great performance at a rather unexpected venue....I have never seen Janet in such an intimate hall...but it was fantastic!!! A true beauty with enormous talent and authentic appreciation for the support from her fans....a great night!!!!!

I admire Janet's contribution to music and don't dispute her talent but I don't understand why artists of her calibre keep the audience waiting and fill in the show with video clips and musical interludes - People pay their hard earned cash for tickets and not to see things they can see on You Tube - Called the "Up Close and Personal Tour" - I didn't find it close or personal and no mention of her brother apart from another set of photos and a possible reference with a song as she looked up to the sky.

1/2 hour late in starting, no change of outfits. It seemed like her heart wasn't in it. Poor show, poor stage.

Janet performed solid for an hour and a half. Great venue and seats made this a truly amazing concert.

Janet is the consummate performer, so it's hard to not appreciate. High energy, upeat, glitzy! We thought that the volume of the music overwhelmed her voice on many numbers, which we felt was unfortunate. The quiet acoustical numbers were much better. Also, she didn't say much of an "up close and personal" nature, but let the videos of basically public material (clips from TV/ movies/ photo shoots) do the talking. That too was a little disappointing. She's just got engaged and no mention! The last concert of her's that we attended some 8-10 years ago at the ACC was much better and more memorable. Sorry.

Janet Jackson concert was fantastic - Janet gave her fans a fabulous concert in Hamilton. I loved every minute and I was so glad I was there to see Janet live!

I love Janet Jackson and when I heard that she was coming to our city I had to get tickets. The venue (Hamilton Place) was nice. But we couldn't bring drinks/beer to our seats as with larger venues. The concert started about 30mins late and NO opening act. I was extremely disappointed that the concert was only about 90 mins long. I at least expected 1 outfit change - but nothing. Janet was great, but I left feeling like I got ripped off. Especially since I spent almost $200/ticket. I expected more of a production. The concert was very simple. It would have been perfect if the ticket price was lower or the concert was longer.

Awesome show. I liked that it was basically just her and a few dancers. She sang all of her hit songs. Didn't waste time on a bunch of costume changes. She performed for 1 1/2 hours which is the norm for a concert. We had awesome seats. First concert I've been to where everyone was on their feet singing and dancing the whole time. She still got it, her voice sounded great, she looked great and the girl still have the moves. I would go see her again, if I have the opportunity.

I don't know what I was expecting but I was certainly expecting something more than what I received. At $115 a ticket for 2nd balcony tickets, I was looking forward to a "show". There weren't even any costume changes with the one exception of a jacket change. It was very basic - her, her dancers and a video screen and I guess for that amount of money I wanted to be wowed. Instead I felt like I had been violated. Not only due to the lack of eye candy but also due to the fact that she was 45 minutes late. I felt like I was watching a diva and having to put up with her diva behavior! I've seen better concerts for free! Sorry Janet, you just lost a concert fan.

I had a good time as this was the first time I'd seen Janet. I can see how a die hard fan would be dissapointed by the late start, no costume changes, and long breaks. The videos shown didn't bother me, but I wished they were better tied into the show.

Our seats were on the second balcony. As a result we could not see the top half of the video screen. The sound system was off. The band drowned out Janet's voice and we could not hear her voice or make out the words. The show was good, but the seats were aweful and it was a waste of time. $75 per seat for nothing
