The concert was wonderful! Vocals were beautiful, the band was amazing. The fiddle player back up singer Allison (sorry her last name escapes me) blew me away! Shes a perfect fit for Janns voice. My daughter and I enjoyed this show tremendously and can't stop talking about it!
We enjoyed Jann Arden very much! It was my third time seeing her in concert and I love her humour as much as her singing. She performed for 2 1/2 hours without an intermission, we definitely got our moneys worth. We will continue to support her and will be buying her new CD!!

Jann never disappoints in her performance. She is an amazing talent, in both her song writing and singing ability. Her sense of humour and interaction with her audience made for an extremely entertaining evening. The part of the show where she shared some of her personal family photos was hilarious and was worth the price of admission alone. I can't wait for her next return to Vancouver. Jann is an all-around entertainer....not to be missed!
Have seen her every time she comes to town, and she just gets better each time!
Wow,a whole new band(almost)a new sound, the new additions to the band are fabulous.There a couple sitting beside me obviously,and several times during the show the woman reached over and took her husbands hand...,that warm fuzzy feeling ...that what Jann's voice does...brings you back to the heart.Thanks Jann!If there is any left GET YOUR TICKET for tonights show.....she.always leaves me wanting more!
Brilliant show! Jann Arden is just as good, if not better, live than recorded and has a stage presence that no other artist can even compare to. The band was great, sound was great, venue was good, lights awesome. What a wonderful show! So glad I got to experience one of my idols live in concert. A dream come true in every sense of the words. Bravo!
The only thing better than experiencing a Jann Arden concert would be meeting Jann in person. She is obviously a very well grounded person and equally as obvious an amazing musician. I've always enjoyed her music because the melody alone is attractive but when married with the deep roots of meaning behind the lyrics with a bold person, the ingredients for a wonderful evening are assured. She has grace and humour and artistic talents and if that were not enough she has a band and stage management that make the whole experience work very well. Bottom line: I enjoyed the concert. Thanks Jann for reminding us all of what a great Canadian you are among us.!
Jann Arden was fantastic! She's a great entertainer- humoring us with family stories and her unique personality. Her voice was lovely and powerful live. Her show is not to be missed!
True professionals on stage. Jann sounds even better in person than in recordings and her backup is phenominal.
One of the most memorable evenings I've ever experienced! Jann Arden is an amazing performer. Her God given ability to entertain on such a personal level with her audience along with her undeniable skill as a songwriter, and singer is a gift she generously shares with the world. Her music has helped me both in times of happiness and times of sorrow and I am grateful.
Of all female singers in the world today, Jann has the most uplifting, emotive, soaring and plaintive vocals. Throughout the course of the concert, I was deeply moved to tears one moment, laughing the next and simply getting blown away by the power of her voice! She is truly a Canadian Natl Treasure and deserves all the success she has earned throughout such a fascinating career. Jann has that special quality to take you on magical journeys with her thus allowing yourself to immerse completely in whatever message she is putting out there. I love Jann Arden and have been a fan since her first release; can't wait for her next performance! If you see this Jann, I love and admire you; you are one in a billion baby!!!
Jann Arden is amazing and her concerts are always great and amazing and funny and entertaining! The addition of the female backup vocals by Alison were also amazing. She's obviously an incredible singer. The only thing I want to share is that I think Alison sometimes drowned out Jann by singing louder than her - particularly earlier on in the night (18th). For what it is worth.......
Absolutely amazing. The opening song gave me goose bumps. Her voice is so pure from the beginning of the concert to the end. Great Band!
My wife and I went to Jann Arden last night and had a wonderful time.... as usual with Jann Arden! We laughed so hard and enjoyed incredible music. We were very impressed with the musicality and vocal abilities of Alison, and loved the harmonies in Jann's new songs. Jann's sense of humour alone would bring us to her show, as would just her music. She is personable, warm, intimate, open, human, and hilarious!!! We loved seeing pictures of her band and her as kids, and her family. There is nobody quite like this amazing talent of a woman and we are so happy for her to have rec'd her well-deserved award of Vancouver's Favourite Entertainer. Oh, and it was great seeing her cute dog on stage! Go if you can- it is well worth it!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed Jann's performance. Besides her marvellous songwriting & singing talent perhaps her second calling should be stand-up comedy. She kept the crowd laughing at her dry wit and humble amazement at her own success. The evening was indeed intimate. You left the theatre feeling that you had known Jann most of your life. The encore performance was full of surprises. The sound quality of the first few opening songs was not too good as the band was drowning out Jann's voice but it was corrected in short order. I have noticed this seems to be a problem at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. I would definitely recommmend the show. Another amazing Canadian talent.
Jan was great. What a voice! She sounds just as good live as on her recordings. I would recommend this concert to everyone.

The evening spent with Jann was amazing, and she was top form. Her honesty in her music makes everyone connect and the slide show had me in stitches. She is so funny and I loved that she took questions from the audience and brought out her dog too! Makes we wonder and look forward to how she will top this next year! Jann you deserved the award last night...your ``star` as a favourtite artist here in Vancouver is well deserved.
