The group was excellent. Saw the Jersey Boys in Toronto, a few years ago, but enjoyed this show more. Disappointed late starting but assume travel delays.
Concert was hreat. Music fabulous. However the Advenir Centre was a disappointment which takes away from the experience. Seating light were not on. Made it very difficult to find and be seated safely. Most of us were seniors ans had others use cell phone lights. Absolutely NOT acceptable
At the beginning, I felt it was slow going but as time went on, it was just getting better & better. My partner & I thoroughly enjoyed the show. I grew up with that music & to know the stories behind the songs made it that more special. It was great!!
The touring company of JERSEY BOYS put on a wonderful show with the sound of the Four Seasons duplicated with amazing precision...music & vocals almost perfectly recaptured by the talented actors & musicians. Aside from some loud conversation which intruded from somewhere backstage for a few minutes during the second act, the only other gripe we had was the long time it took to get to our seats after being crowded into a holding area on the mezzanine before the show began. Access to seating was limited & slow, resulting in an 8:20pm curtain which is really unacceptable. Heard the Halifax show had same late start...wouldn't be allowed on Broadway for sure! Hopefully this situation can be remedied as we look forward to more professional touring companies coming to our most excellent Avenir Centre in the future.
Family night seeing Jersey Boys and they didn’t disappoint. The story line was well done from beginning throughout with fantastic music.
Jersey Boys event November 30th'19 at the Moncton Avenir Centre was excellent. The cast provided a professional acting and entertaining evening for their guests. Their style tells a story of the 1960's rock 'n roll group The Four Seasons and their singing is 'bang on' as The Four Seasons sang back in those early days. The only thing I would change, if given an opportunity, would be to bring the stairs and upper walkway staging down a few feet. The performers appeared to be lost way up in the rafters. As much as I would see this event again, I would also love to see the Jersey Boys perform a musical replicating another group from the 1960's. Thank you to those who helped bring in the Jersey Boys to the Avenir Centre.
The singers were excellent; however, the venue at the Moncton Avenir Centre was so disappointing it affected the overall experience. The language was not appropriate for children or those easily offended, happy there were not a lot of younger audience members. I believe I would have enjoyed the show much more in a more formal theatre.
It was a great show seats were great. I love being able to get presale tickets.
Great event, like Broadway. Would have preferred far less swearing, didn't see how that added to the show. I had already seen the show in Vegas without the vulgarity, and didn't see the need. Just a thought. Still great show, and the performances were excellent.
Everything pertaining to the show and the actors/singers were amazing. They are very talented and the way the story was told was engaging and unique! The only drawback to our experience was the venue that it was played at.....
The guys were great, the girl was great. I think she was the backup singer because of the cold weather. She was able to hit the higher notes.
The Pearl Showroom was a nice venue. It was mainly the performance that deserves the low rating. We attended hoping to utilize the dance floor but the show was so mediocre that not one person got up to dance. They also shortened the songs by 2 or more verses so we didn't know if by the time we got up to dance if we would be awkwardly needing to sit down. This would have been better titled 60's music vs Jersey boys. I'm just glad it was cheap tickets.
The show was awesome! It’s girl’s night and we all enjoyed the show! From the greatest hits to the acapella of Silence Is Golden! BRAVO!
A group of 4 of us were at the matinee and they had a different singer (Ben Bogen) for Franki Valli for that performance. I feel sorry for the poor guy as I am sure he did a lot of work to get there but his performance that day was pathetic. He could not hit the high note so bad that it was almost funny. The price we paid for these tickets are not worth the performance we had that day. Maybe it was a one off but unfortunately we were at that performance and it sucks for the main character, I would say that he was lucky that he had a good supporting cast to make him look half decent.
My husband and I enjoyed the show and music but found the offensive language was unnecessary. We can say that we have seen the show once but would never see it a second time.
I took my 15 year old daughter to the show as she loves that era of music! We both had no idea of the storyline other than it was the story of how the Jersey Boys became a group. We found the show very entertaining, funny & exciting and of course, LOVED the music!
Super play with outstanding singing! Lots of great memories and lots of fun.
The performances by the arisks were very good particularly Jonny Wexler who played Frankie Valli. Wexler really nailed Valli's voice. Corey Greenan as Tommy De Vito was also good.
The Jersey Boys touring show was a great success. The Music and Dance was well performed and the selections from the song book could not be better. The chosen highlights of the Life of Frankie Valli & the 4 Seasons tell the story very well and are a good backdrop for the amazing music. Totally enjoyed this show & would recommend to all; the folks who grew up in the era of Frankie Valli as well as younger folks who would enjoy the music.
The show was fantastic!!! Acting excellent and the singing Very up lifting and fun.
