  • Great show - terrible venue planning

    by T. F. on 2022-11-06Rating: 4 out of 5

John was amazing and hit it out of the park. Best comedy show I've seen in a while. I heard the opener eas great as well - unfortunately I only say his final joke as we waited 45 minutes in line outside the venue waiting to get in. Cellphone bags werent the issue. I recently saw Kevin Heart in Toronto and staff there had 20k people seated without any delays - somehow Moncton couldn't get 7k seated in 5x that amount of time. Extremely annoying. Will not be traveling to Moncton again for an event.

  • A must see!

Over the top security screening at the venue but the show was fantastic!

  • Mulaney...the Master

by PE on 2022-11-06TD Place Arena - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Seaton Smith, the opening act was hilarious, although sometimes a little hard to understand. He has a soft voice and when his tone drops you struggle to hear what he's saying. John Mulaney does not disappoint. In fact, I would say he's funnier in person. My sides were aching after a 1 1/2 hour uninterrupted barrage of Mulaney's experiences of being coerced into rehab by his friends. His total honesty regarding drug use, although sometimes difficult to hear, was refreshing and hysterical. One hopes John continues to walk the straight and narrow so he can continue to entertain us for many years to come.

  • Could have been worse

by Baby G on 2022-11-06TD Place Arena - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

Show was really good. Parking as always was less than ideal. Hopefully eventually LRT will service the arena. TD place very good at keeping crowd moving. Need better food options.

  • sound from these seats was unacceptable

    by d. d. on 2022-11-06TD Place Arena - OttawaRating: 1 out of 5

these seats should not have been made available. there was much noise from staff behind curtains in the top row. and the arena speakers were not projecting any where near our area. this made people vocal about their complaints , adding to the impossible of trying to hear let alone enjoy the show. the opening act was completely unintelligible . when you could hear john mulaney , the crowd reactions drowned out the end of his phrases. it was impossible to get into or feel any joy. i am glad he is a quality entertainer because we tried to find humour in it. i wished i had bailed and found an usher who maybe could have accommodated better seats.

  • Fascinating evening!

    by Q on 2022-11-06TD Place Arena - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

I went to the event with my brother and best friend. I was not familiar with John Mulaney’s work but my brother praised his humour. Turns out my brother was right we had a fantastic evening with some good laughs and hearing about his experiences first hand was a real eye opener. I would go and see him again if he were to return to Ottawa. Sorry can remember the name of the gentleman that opened for him but I really enjoyed him as well.

  • Not very good

by Eric on 2022-11-06TD Place Arena - OttawaRating: 1 out of 5

Im a big Fan, love all his specials. This was just sad and boring. Hardly laughed and my son fell asleep. It’s one subject from beginning to end and it gets boring after awhile. We get it….he was a drug addict and glad he got help but this is nothing like his other specials.

  • Not what we expected

by FrozenBob on 2022-11-06TD Place Arena - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

John spent the whole show talking about his rehab experience. Funny at times, sad at others. His delivery was great. That said, while it may be healing for him, to pay $100+ per seat to help his sobriety journey is a bit steep. Enjoyed the comics at a local club for $15 cover plus beer cheaper than Ginger Ale at this show just as much.

  • Incredibly funny! Haven’t laughed that much in awhile

by Hispanic At The Disco on 2022-11-06TD Place Arena - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Great show! Definitely a must-see if you haven’t seen John in person.

  • Disrespectful audience

by Kingbel on 2022-11-06TD Place Arena - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

Loved the show, from I heard anyway. Why can't people arrive on time to a show or something weird like arriving a bit early. I was sitting in the double letters and kept getting interrupted by people arriving late, looking for there seats. People sitting in the wrong seats and the cascading effets. This was happening constantly and we'll into Mr. Mulaney's show. So disappointed in people burnt rude and obnoxious.

  • He’s back! YAYYY!

by Jo on 2022-11-06TD Place Arena - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

He was charming! He was self deprecating! Who would of thought that “that” subject matter would be entertaining?! It’s John Mulaney baby, everything he does is awesome! I’m so glad he’s back and enjoying another chapter! 💜

  • Delivered an amazing performance

by Al on 2022-11-06TD Place Arena - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

John was funny, self deprecating and honest. Opening act was terrible.

  • Brilliant

by Jeff on 2022-11-06TD Place Arena - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

John Mulaney is a genius. The venue seemed fairly organized.

  • Best comedian I have ever seen

by Michelle Paladeau-Zic on 2022-11-06TD Place Arena - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

We were literally in pain from laughing. It was a perfect show. Even the opening act was hilarious.

  • Not bad

by Mathieu B on 2022-11-06TD Place Arena - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

Comedian was good. However audio could have been better, especially for the opening act. Seats were a bit difficult to find. Ushers need more training on how to deal with people in the wrong seats, as there was a lady in front of us who didn't want to move. Very distracting...

  • NAC would have been a better venue

by Virdisun on 2022-11-06TD Place Arena - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

Horrible acoustics and stage. We couldn't see anything or hear Seaton Smith. John Mulaney was good but I prefer his older material.

  • Great show, but long lines to get in

by John K on 2022-11-06TD Place Arena - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

The show itself was great , but the long lines due to the security pouches for everyone’s cell phone was a pain . Was also very distracting trying to watch the first act while everyone was getting to find/ get to their seats in the dark.

  • Almost awesome

by Chicks on 2022-11-05Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

If we are going to lock up devices in 2022+ there are a few things that can help the experience. Show the time somewhere and provide more tech safe spaces

  • Couldn’t stop laughing!

by On the fence on 2022-11-05Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

His delivery is like no other. To his credit he was picking on himself all night and that has to be tough. I couldn’t stop crying from all the laughing! I can’t wait to see him again.

  • Good but locking phones bad

by Carney on 2022-11-05Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

He was very good. First time seeing him. Overall quite entertaining, and btw rating given the subject matter was him. Did not agree with locking phones. Would not go to anything again that requires that.
