One last chance to hear a legend

by DGAZ on 2017-06-28The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

Predictable in the song list and order of program I felt a little sorry for Johnny as he only once sat on a stool. Rest of show, walked slowly back and forth. Appeared to be favouring his gait. also carrying the mic chord. should use a wireless. Co-star Gary was funny, but did not sing at all. Orchestra was large (30) and added to music .

    Johnny Mathis Concert

by snbmom on 2014-09-23The Seneca Niagara Events Center at Seneca Niagara Casino - Niagara Falls

I am really glad I got the chance to see Johnny Mathis. He is very frail looking and could not quite hit the notes. I wanted to hear his old standards and those were the songs he had trouble with. The other songs that were not his seemed to be easier for him. It was a very classy show and the orchestra was great.

    Johnny Mathis

by clayty on 2010-11-30The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

Johnny Mathis is the Prnce of Excellence. He has charm that draws you to him. His voice has not changed ; since I first heard him over 50 years ago. My girlfriends made fun of me in the 60's because all I talked about was Johnny Mathis and they were going crazy over the Beatles.. Goes to show ; GOOD QUALITY ALWAYS LASTS.

This is the third time that I have had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Mathis. He sings so relaxed and easy. It is like he stopped by your home to sing to you. I will go again!

    Johnny Mathis

I enjoyed this show so much. It is the second time I have seen him at the casino. He is an amazing singer and I have loved him since I was young. My only complaint is that the people behind me talked through the whole show. I turned around and asked them if they wouldn't mind not talking but they kept it up even after that. I paid to hear JM sing not to listen to people talk. An announcement at the beginning of the show would be so helpful just suggesting that people be respectful of others around them and to refrain from talking. This happened when we went to see Celine Dion, as well. When you spend your money on things like this, it is nice to be able to enjoy it. Thanks so much

    Terriic show

by pigtails on 2009-09-06Casino Rama - Orillia

My parents loved the whole show and said Johnny sounds as good as ever. The comedian was an unusual break but they laughed so hard and thought it was one of the best shows they have seen at Rama. When Johnny can still belt out 30 songs and have a break in between you know you have had your money's worth. Kudos to that wonderful singer who is still going strong and made their night memorable.

Johnny's voice was angelic! What a lovely man!

by Kaizen on 2009-09-01Casino Rama - Orillia

Johnny Mathis...What can I say? What a BRILLIANT concert. Took my Mum - she has loved him ever since she was a teenager. She cried from start to finish - but the best part of the evening was that she was lucky enough to get the wonderful opportunity to meet Johnny after the show. SHE WAS THRILLED!!! Johnny has such an angelic and beautiful voice...there's just nobody like him!! We loved every minute and we didn't want him to stop singing. We can't wait until he comes back again!!

    Johnny Mathes was forgetable.

by opinionated on 2009-08-31Casino Rama - Orillia

I have Johnny's Greatest Hits which I listen to constantly for 6 mos. I expected to hear those songs and didn't. He did maybe 2 songs from my album and he slowed the tempo down. Since he sings ballads and he slowed them down even more. I was always waiting for notes to end. It seemed that he was enjoying his vocal expertise and not considering the audience not thinking about the audience and their nostalgia tripping. I don't like hearing boring Broadway/movie tunes. The rest of the audience seemed to be enoying his selection - not me.

    Johnny Mathis was terrific!

by Pipester on 2009-08-31Casino Rama - Orillia

My husband and I were so thrilled to finally be able to see Johnny Mathis. The "Twelfth of Never" was our first wedding dance song 39 years ago. Johnny sang it to perfection with a guitar accompaniest. We totally did not expect this arrangement and it was "Wonderful, Wonderful". We were amazed at his voice at age 74 and we were truly impressed with his professionalism and the way he sings ballads. Only Johnny Mathis could sing a full 2 sets of ballads and have his audience in the palm of his hands. P.S. The comedian was hilarious too!
