Joji is one of the digital age's most mesmerizing voices. Popular singles like “SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK” (2018), “Run” (2020) and 2022’s Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hit “Glimpse of Us” exemplify Joji’s blend of alt-R&B with lush pop balladry. Nectar (2020) and SMITHEREENS (2022) led to rave reviews from publications like Billboard, who wrote that “anyone familiar with Joji’s dulcet tones and emotionally revealing lyricism could have predicted that he’d become a solo star.” Jojio (born George Kusunoki Miller in Osaka) built an online audience in the 2010s with viral comedy sketches. Then, in 2017, Joji began releasing music under 88Rising and put out his first album, Ballads 1 (2018). It debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and established Joji as a rising star..

Joji was amazing, such a great performer. His set up was incredible as well. We had such a great time and would definitely go again. The crowd in Toronto was also incredible!!!
Was my first big concert!!! Music was great vibes, and the lighting at certain moments was super cool!! Had a great time!!!
………….Love Joji! Will go again!…………….. wish he sang more songs! Can’t get enough of him ♥️
Absolutely loved hearing Joji live! Great song choices and you could tell everyone in Toronto was loving it. The humour in between songs was definitely welcomed and balanced out the emotional sections perfectly, if I just rated Joji’s section it be a 5 star review. I have to remove a star though for the introduction acts, it felt incredibly awkward hearing mumble rap for almost an hour and a half when Joji’s music is very emotional where hearing the lyrics is vital, this was also very evident in the crowd where people were just sitting unimpressed. The Scotiabank arena is a great location in my opinion and we didn’t have any temperature issues. Do yourself a favour and time it so you just turn up for Joji’s part.
Amazing show, was beyond expectations Will go back again ✌🏻✌🏻
I loved the performance, very good and sounds like the recorded songs unlike many artists I’ve seen live who haven’t sounded as good. There is a sense of comedy also invoked into the show which some may enjoy however for me it’s not my favourite when the DJ or others tune in to make “jokes”. Just want to listen to the music.
Great evening. The atmosphere was great, the only concern was the seating arrangement. It seems the venue was emptier than the amount of seats dedicated to the event. Scalpers potentially.
This lazy bum signed autographs mid concert for 15 mins. I had low expectations coming in but i still didnt think it would be that bad. He has no pride in his craft and it's a shame he gets to perform at a big stage.
Loved the set list, stage/light design and the visuals. Joji was great. However audio felt a bit too loud, and the warm up was too long (2hours for a 4-hour show) Would’ve happily paid the same for a 2.5 hour show with 1 hour warm up + 1.5 hours of Joji.
One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. I’ve seen Joji before and was a little sad because he didn’t really perform for that long. Last time I saw him he was on stage for maybe 45 minutes, maybe a hour. It was still an amazing show, but this time around, he got on right at 9:30 and performed his lil heart out until 11:00pm! He sounded amazing, was funny as always, and the set was beautiful. I splurged and got VIP tickets for the floor, and I’ve never been closer to the stage ever! I was right up front at the barricade and I got my poster signed by joji! It was so much fun and a night I’ll always remember <3
I select three concerts a year, and he was the final. I have zero regrets. His set was a great blend of new and old stuff. Very unserious fun and beautiful performance. Would highly recommend.
The music, choice of songs, visuals, and just joji, amazing! But unfortunately there were times the music was louder than joji. His mic volume should've been a bit higher. Also, that DJ/sound effects guy was over speaking joji (being louder and making noise when he shouldn't/didn't need to).
At first, it was just alright because I picked a seat with horrible acoustics and a bad view. Someone came and asked if I wanted to move and I truly bless that person with all of my heart. The second half of the concert was amazing!! The energy was better, I could fully hear and see him and I really enjoyed the way he interacted with the crowd through skits n such. The songs were shortened tho which is kind of a bummer but still would recommend seeing him. Just don’t pick an up high, side view seat lol.
Went for the sad vibes but got surprised with edm and skits. Didn’t mind it though
it was such a good time! not what i was expecting at all, nor what the people i went with were expecting, considering we had thought it would be a sad slow concert. super super hype, and the songs sounded so different live (in a good way) ! joji's stage presence was absolutely phenomenal, i love this man. the openers were pretty good too, especially DJ kenny. at first, there's a moment of "wait, these are supposed to be sad songs?"but it was so hype. love toronto.
Two major tips that could improve your concert experience: 1) Read the email and check the opener and ACTUAL CONCERT START TIME for Joji. You can enter the show later if they're not your type of artist. Concerts normally have openers, relax people. Joji performs less than the openers combined I think, but he has health problems which we already knew, so please set your expectations. 2) Search the setlist for the tour to see what songs he'll likely perform. It's pretty accurate based on my experience and might help you decide whether to go, especially since it's not the longest show. You can also listen prior to the concert so you know what songs to expect. All that said, Joji is a really talented singer. JOJI AND TEAM - please please work on making his MIC CLEARER OR MORE BALANCED WITH THE OTHER MUSIC so we can hear him throughout the concert, even when the other instruments are blasting. I was seated in the 100s right across the stage and the words and notes sort of melted into one another at times. About the openers, expect clubby, EDM, scream-rap type vibes.. It's mostly hard to see the stage for these opener artists since it's mostly dim. I'm not super into those genres so it was just ok for the most part, but I appreciate the energy. Another reason why the concert is chaotic is the jokes - phew, unless your parent is super chill about explicit jokes, it could be kind of awkward bringing a parent here.
He delivered!!!! The setlist is reaaaaally nice! Will definitely go again! :)
Best concert ever! I will definitely recommend him as an artist, his amazing voice and the show was great in Vancouver!
Joji was sublime obviously!!! Even the openers were so good; they went on for a bit more than I expected, but that was good as I could get some food then. Incredible show though! I loved the lights, the visualizations, just INCREDIBLE. Joji was so cute, sweet, lovely, and a talented performer. I loved the fun stuff too, the beach balls, t-shirt cannons, all of it!
if you show up an hour and a half after the promised start time, its a great concert. The three half hour opening acts are mumble rappers with bass heavy tracks. Could be hype, but the crowd wasn't expecting nor ready for that energy (we came here for sad boi hours!), so they fell flat.
