  • Joyful experience, impressive musicians

by Still Dancin' on 2024-03-15Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Jon, along with his singer and band were fantastic. Energetic, happy, professionals clearly doing what they love really well. It was fun to see two Torontonians get up on stage to strut their stuff with Jon. At the end, Jon and his group wound their way through the main floor crowd and up to the third floor to sing and play among the audience. I hope they enjoyed the experience and are able to get in the middle of the audience everywhere they go. Bravo!

I like what the Star said: "Jon Batiste was the most talented person in the room."Impossible not to feel good at this show. Backing band got their time as well including incredible back up singer. One of the best shows I've ever seen and my companion said it was the best she had EVER seen!

  • Great show...wished it was a bit longer

by Worldwanderer on 2024-03-15Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I loved the show! Lots of energy. Jon Batiste is such a versatile performer, showing why he well deserves the 5 Grammy's he has. He performed all of his most popular songs. He played essentially every instrument on the stage: drums, sax, piano, melodica, etc. etc. One down side was that it was one of the shortest paid concerts I've been to. He came on stage at 8:20 pm. and was already wrapping things up before around 9:45. His last notes was at 10:05 p.m., making the concert less than 2 hours long. Unfortunately, I was sitting in the lower balcony covered by the upper balcony so when he made his way to the upper balcony (which is fabulous!) I was not able to see him so missed out on the last minutes of the show.

Jon Batiste is a very creative, original performer. Can play any instrument, sing and dance. Music seems to flow effortlessly out of his body. He has deep, innate talent.

That was one of the best concerts that I’ve ever seen and I am 68. He is an exceptional musician with so much positive energy!! I loved every second and send him my thanks for what he brought to the night. I can’t believe that he walked amongst the crowd at the end……MAGIC!!!

  • It wasn’t the Jon Batiste we know

by Joe on 2024-03-15Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

We enjoyed Freedom and the single piano pieces but the majority of the show was a Rock Concert. Had to block my ears it was loud and Rockus.

  • Awesome

by MJ on 2024-03-15Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best concerts I've been to in a while. His showman ship was dazzling and his versatility on various instruments was amazing. He has the audience in the palm of his hand. His backup musicians were excellent. All together it was wonderful.

  • Best show in my entire life

WAW. I have no words to describe how amazing Jon Batiste and the band. The show was SPECTACULAR: the diversity of genres, yet all coherent with the artiste, the energy, the attitude. Everything was top notch.
