As the original legends of arena rock, few bands in existence put on a show quite like Journey. Anchored by singer Arnel Pineda's thrilling vocals and Neal Schon's unstoppable guitars, the band continues to show fans both old and new exactly how it's done as they tear through marathon sets of classics like "Don't Stop Believin'" and "Open Arms." Formed in 1973 in San Francisco from the ashes of Santana and Frumious Bandersnatch, the band has since gone through a number of lineup changes — only stalwart guitarist Neal Schon has been with every incarnation. Despite a rotating roster, the band has sold 52 million albums in the U.S., making them the eleventh best-selling band in American history. While the '70s and '80s provided them with the most commercial success, their current manifestation with Filipino singer Arnel Pineda has given them truly global breadth.

Awesome show. Great musicians both bands came to play!
Toto was great. Interacted with the audience and played favorite oldies. Journey was a different story. The sound mix was terrible, loud and couldn't make out the lyrics. Left after an hour. Couldn't take it anymore.
Both bands gave excellent performance's. The featuring band performed with lots of energy and connected well with the audience making it well worth the money. It appears obvious that the singer truly loves his career and was very enjoyable to listen to. Highly recommend seeing this band. However, floor seats are a hit or miss for getting a good view unless in first couple rows.
Arniel did the best he could but he is not Steve Perry. The set list was good as you would expect from a journey concert. Wasn’t impressed by the lead guitar player being a spotlight hog but that is my opinion. Overall I would give it a 4 out of ten. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t what I was hoping for. Would I see them again as a headline band? No.
Been waiting for years to see Journey in Edmonton. Noticed both Toto and Journey were VERY hard to distinguish between instruments and voices of band. Trying to figure if this was a mixing issue with the bands or is Rogers that bad of an venue for music? We were in Section 103, Row 2. Been to other concerts (Elton John & Eagles) whose music & sound were excellent where we sat (Section 117 Row 19) . Now they were not Rock Bands but the sound out of Toto and Journey was pretty bad.
It was amazing experience to watch journey live. And hopefully can watch more other bands concerts.
I had a 3rd row floor seat, great visualization and sound. If there is one thing I didn't enjoy was the Strobe lights which were the worst I have ever seen. I've been to a lot of concerts at Roger's Arena and haven't had this kind of experience. I'm a short person in stature so maybe that was the difference at this particular concert. Overall I had a great experience.
It was a great performance by the band, the lead singer was awesome, energetic, and engaging too.
Really enjoyed Journey with special guests Toto. Both band played great sound was great atmosphere was fantastic. Both bands played all the great songs that they are known for. They both are still on their game.
Arnel Pineda blew the doors off. This guy deserves all the respect in the world. Filling Steve Perry’s shoes when he didn’t ask for it amid all the whiners that miss the original singer is a very tough assignment . There is no way SP could do what this guy does at 75. It’s still Journey and this guy rocked the house. The music quality was meticulous as we expect Journey to be. These are very talented musicians. Toto rocked too they didn’t feel like an opening act it felt like two great bands. I hope they come back soon! One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to! Thank you Journey for finding Arnel…no disrespect to SP but Arnel’s the perfect fit! They got it right! Great show!
Toto…solid! Journey…good, but not sure why the 2nd song was O Canada as a guitar solo. Also…not sure why a classical piano solo was needed. Overall, enjoyed the show, especially the vocals of the latest lead singer.
One of the things I would suggest is that you have the option of printing your ticket, for those of us that want physical copy/memento, besides scanning to enter the building.
The sound mix for Journey was terrible. At times the speakers were popping, back up singers mic’s sounded like tin cans, lead singers mic wasn’t on, the drum mix was non existent. Just overall wasn’t impressed by the effort of the sound crew for Journey. I was not the only person who noticed this and many of us felt that Toto had the better sound overall. I was very impressed with Toto in general. Great musicians, great sound and a great on stage presence. Journey had the songs we all know and love but I wasn’t blown away. It was good to say I’ve seen em though.
Thoroughly enjoyed this concert! Journey put on an amazing show of music, video displays and talent from each and every member!
We’re glad to see Journey came to Edmonton. The Lead singer of Journey never disappoints the fans. His crowd pleaser. Lots of energy. Thank you Journey.
The concert was okay, songs were extended past their usual length, boring as the audience wasn’t involved much. The concessions were closed by 10 pm. You couldn’t even get a water even though the concert went until 11 pm. Bathrooms ran out of toilet paper and paper towel. Sure wasn’t kept as nice as at an Oiler game. All in all a total disappointment.
It was a great show all the band members has full of energies especially the lead singer Arnel Pineda with amazing high pitch vocals. Great performances they’re all amazing.
My 1st time attending Journey. Music and energy were absolutely fantastic *****
It was entertaining from start to finish. They’re still going great! Nice interaction with the audience, awesome!!
It was an amazing show. Worth every penny. Let's not forget Toto as well. I cant believe these old guys can still rock like that.
