About
Journey is a multi-platinum-selling rock band from San Francisco, California. Originally formed by former members of Santana, the Steve Miller Band and Frumious Bandersnatch, the band’s current lineup includes guitarist and backing vocalist Neal Schon, lead vocalist Arnel Pineda, keyboardist and guitarist Jonathan Cain, keyboardist Jason Derlatka, bassist Todd Jensen and drummer Deen Castronovo. After releasing a few albums — including their self-titled 1975 debut — throughout the early ‘70s, Journey reached a new height of commercial success on the charts with Infinity (1978), Evolution (1979) and Departure (1980), all of which were certified multi-platinum in the U.S. The band earned their first chart-topping album in 1981 with Escape, which also yielded massive hits like “Don’t Stop Believing” and “Open Arms.” Over the decades, Journey has continued to release studio albums and tour the world as one of the best-selling rock acts in music history, with their most recent album, Freedom, released in 2022.

But when Neal was the spot light of every 5 minute musical extention of most of the songs it got a little old. Arnel is a good singer but again when he sang the songs as they were remembered He was great. But some of the long drawn out endings not so good. The drummer Steve sang one song and he was the most incredible Singer . Way better and amazing. And then there was the $65 t shirts...... A no...

Toto gave an impressive performance and sounded spectacular bringing back some special memories from my teenage years. Journey didn’t disappoint. They were always one of my favourite bands growing up and Arnell has done a great job with his unique vocals. What a fun girls night!

It’s amazing how 3 shows in the area fell right into my one week vacation. One of the best times of my life. It was so amazing that after Toronto show, I also went to see them in Ottawa and Buffalo. If they come to Vancouver next time, I’ll go see them again. Arnel is phenomenal! Toto was awesome too.
