About

Justin Bieber on Tour

He's descended from the rafters attached to giant angel wings made of speaker parts. He's also held court to seas of screaming fans while sitting on a stool with an acoustic guitar. He's danced madly on EDM festival stages while backed by wild bass kicked out by Diplo and Skrillex, and he's faced off with Questlove in a live drum battle. He is, of course, Justin Bieber — the Canadian-born singer, songwriter, musician and world's biggest pop star, period. His debut concert tour, 2010's My World Tour, launched when he was 16, sold 1.4 million tickets and grossed $53 million. Although he's taken the occasional hiatus from the spotlight, Bieber was a seasoned performer before he was old enough to vote. At the heart of that success is an immense talent (both vocal and instrumental) initially tailor-made to court a global fan base of fervent tweens and kids. But as Bieber grew up, so did his taste and perspective. In tandem with setting Guinness World Records for streams, sales, radio plays, social media followers and video views, the boy became a man in public and on record — his celebrated fourth and fifth albums, 2015's Purpose and 2020's Changes, found him shedding a bubblegum background for new sonic frontiers and critical acclaim.

Justin Bieber in Concert

Justin Drew Bieber was born in London, Ontario, in 1994, and raised in low-income housing by the single mother who would share one of his earliest performances on YouTube in 2006, kicking off one of the most storied careers in music history. His talent was evident early on — Bieber was playing the drums at 2, and singing not long after. By the time he was 12, he was able to earn $3,000 busking in front of his town's theater during tourist season. Within a year of that, he'd been discovered by future music mogul Scooter Braun and introduced to Usher. Management and record deals followed, and Bieber and his mother moved to Atlanta to start building his future. In 2009, Bieber's debut EP, My World, dropped and went platinum within a month. All seven of its songs ended up in the Billboard Hot 100, paving the way for appearances on Ellen, at the White House and on Taylor Swift's tour. Up through 2012's Believe, with its single "Boyfriend," Bieber continued to project youthful optimism and innocent romance, but his career was effectively relaunched in 2015 after he teamed with Jack Ü to release "Where Are Ü Now," an edgy EDM track that found him expressing doubt and lamenting loss. That song, along with his similarly oriented "What Do You Mean?", set the stage for Purpose, a coming-of-age album that explored spirituality, struggle and mature love. Collaborations followed across dance (Major Lazer's "Cold Water"), Latin (Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito"), rap (DJ Khaled's "I'm the One"), country (Dan + Shay's "10,000 Hours") and alternative pop (Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy"), culminating in 2020's appropriately named, fully grown offering, Changes.

    Great show

by Kate80 on 2022-03-30Canadian Tire Centre - Ottawa

The show was great, awesome energy from the audience, JB sounds amazing live. The one disappointing thing we wished was different was to have the projector screens face the audience to the left and right side of the stage, not just the front. We sat in section 319 at the canadian tire center in ottawa and couldn't see the screens at all :(

    Meh not so much

by RonnieM on 2022-03-30Canadian Tire Centre - Ottawa

I love JB and have for many a year. With all the pent up energy surrounding his tour I was a bit disappointed with his performance feeling he could have used a bit of rest between his shows. The. night before I learned was outstanding. Ottawa’s Show meh not so much. Nonetheless his music his words his down to earth sly swag still impressed.

First concert I’ve ever been too and the show was great. I had purchased the tickets as birthday presents for me and my daughter for the 2020 tour and it was canceled but so glad we got to see the Justice tour instead ❤️ Our Birthday was spent with her idol performing all her favourite hits 🎧 I also enjoy his music so we had a great time 💕 thankful for the big screen for us all the way in the back, next time I’ll be getting closer seats 💺 😆

    Opener Not There

by Jolene on 2022-03-30Canadian Tire Centre - Ottawa

Although Justin did a good job and my daughter had a blast- it would have been nice to know that Jaden Smith wasn't at the show to open. There was no alert beforehand and it was mid show when Justin announced that he wasn't going to be there.

    Justin was awesome!

by Jewel on 2022-03-30Canadian Tire Centre - Ottawa

We had a great time, however our seats were located right where people go to their floor seats. Section 117, row A, seats 1-2. And there’s a guest attendant who asks floor seat guests to pour their drinks into cups. Well, people would stand there in front of us and we missed the beginning of the show…. The whole beginning acts, and what was to be our favourite part, when Justin comes out. We could not see because of the people that were arriving late and standing, their butts in our faces while they waited for their drinks to be poured. It would be nice if they would step down to the floor and then the guest service people pour the drinks. And not let them stand in the stairs blocking everyone’s view. I feel we paid a lot for our tickets and should be compensated somehow for that it experience. We asked the attendant if we could switch seats but he said we’d have to go to guest assistance in the 200 levels… we would have missed half the show doing that.

    Expect more from Justin

    by Y on 2022-03-29Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

The show was a bit short. It was only 1.5 hours and JB seemed lacking enthusiasm and just wanted to end the concert asap. But it's exciting to hear some of his old songs.

    Speechless…

    by J. T. on 2022-03-29

I went to the Ottawa concert and it was incredible. I’ve never been to a JB concert before,I’ve been wanting to do since I was very young , but my childhood dream came true. The lightshow, songs, dance crew, sound, was perfect. I can’t wait to see him again. The opening acts were really good, although I didn’t know any of their songs, I still enjoyed it! Unfortunately, Jaden could not come, which was understandable as he had to attend the Oscar’s, I would have loved if they sang never say never together, although, I’m not disappointed . His signing, don’t even get me started, beautiful, brought tears to my eyes. From what I’ve heard, most artists lipsync in concert or they don’t sound nearly as good as they do on the radio, well seeing Justin, live, his voice was perfect. Everyone would enjoy their experience at the concert. The visual was unbelievable and heartwarming. Overall, I would not have changed anything from this concert except if it was longer- I think most people would agree with me on that part! I love you Justin❤️

    Amazing Intimate Concert

by Rammer on 2022-03-29Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

I was absolutely amazed at the connection between Justin and the crowd. The crowd new all the words to every song and Justin was so respectful of their devotion. This concert exceeded my expectation. Justin is an incredible talent. He now has a new 61 year old fan, a miracle in itself. Thank you Biebs

    Great Show in Ottawa

    by AD on 2022-03-29

Had a great time at the Ottawa show. Justin was having fun and the crowd was having a great time along with him. The stage effects were amazing! I could not appreciate them all as there was so much to look at. Hope I am lucky enough to get to see the concet again soon.

Going through the motions and absent Jaden

    by H. V. on 2022-03-28

I have been to many, many Justin Bieber concerts, and this one was not his greatest. I felt like he had no interest in engaging the crowd much, and he was just there collecting his paycheck. It was like he was going through the motions, not even putting in a huge effort in his dance moves. It was underwhelming, and I am glad I didn't pay much for the ticket. Aswell, Jaden wasn't there, and I was looking forward to seeing him perform, but he bailed to be at the Oscars. People paid good money to see all the acts, not just JB.

First time seeing JB in a decade

by Laurenyyt on 2022-03-28Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

This was a long 2 years in the making but totally worth it!! The last time I saw Justin Bieber was in 2012 and seeing him as an adult is just as amazing!
