Kc was a bit sick but still he delivered a great music show with a large band.

  • KC and the Sunshine Band is still around

by JoeyKaren on 2010-06-08The Seneca Allegany Events Center at Seneca Allegany Casino - SalamancaRating: 4 out of 5

I first saw KC when I was a teenager. Overall the concert was great. We had the opportunity to meet KC after the concert and I found him to be a bit cold and unappreciative for still have fans. He was a disappointing on the friendly level. As far as entertainment, it was great. Brought back many memories.

  • KC was great

KC sounded great and took you back to the1970s. Great show, would certainly go see again.

  • K.C. Still the BoogieMan

by xximolj on 2009-08-24House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 4 out of 5

Great show - hot band, strong backup singers and sexy dancers. Very entertaining. Lots of energy on stage and very polished performance...probably belongs in Vegas. K.C. is aging gracefully but hasn't lost his disco mojo. Crowd was giddy as the band played all their favorite hits and then some! Definitely takes you back to some memorable times. Must add to your "To Do" list.

KC - what an awesome entertainer!! So much fun! He really interacted with the audience and made the evening so enjoyable for all audience members. There was so much energy on the stage

The overall performance was very high energy and somewhat entertaining. Got tired of KC doing spins.

  • The show was alive and did not drag.

He really puts on a show and had the audience dancing in and out of their seats. Band was very good as well!

  • KC & TSB decent show

by snorky on 2009-07-15Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

My review title seems lame, but reviewers tend to use way too much hyperbole in describing live music performances. The show was good value for your aged-boomer dollar. The price was reasonable. Yes, it was KC most of the time. The voice was mostly there. He was quite genial. He sang the songs we expected him to sing. He showed up on time and played for a very respectable length of time. This is the second time we've seen him. I thought this band was a bit too urban and modern for my taste, taking into account the style of music KC is known for. My wife and I really liked the section to the side of the stage set aside for people who wanted to dance disco. I was a great experience to disco dance to KC live. My only quibble was with his agreeing to sign people's whatever - LP's, books, breasts, etc. - this is something that should be reserved for the end of the show, after the paying patrons have gotten their money's worth. During a show, It's annoying to be sitting there in paid seats having to watch aged groupies badger the star into stopping the performance to sign some stupid artificact. KC was gracious during these moments; perhaps too much so. Perhaps RAMA could take a leaf from Wayne Newton's book. His Vegas show has premium cost tickets which allow you to shake Wayne's hand and get a photo with him AFTER the show.

  • KC & The Sunshine Band

by Dobes on 2009-07-14Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 3 out of 5

Started off a bit slow (as in KC) but seemed to gain energy throughout the course of the show. This show had energy, lighting effects, dancers and humour. KC has a great sense of humour which added to the electricity. All in all, not a bad show!

  • KC has great music but needs to upgrade the act!

by SallyRide on 2009-07-14The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 2 out of 5

I love the music of KC & the Sunshine Band. I think that KC needs to upgrade the act to reflect his age and his experience and professionalism. I did not enjoy seeing the young girls "feeling him". It just was not classy. He can be!! He is a great entertainer!! In addition one of the dancers was very poor. He could do without the dancers or just bring them out for certain songs.

  • KC and the Sunshine Band. Blast from the past

    by mom2kbc on 2009-07-14Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

2nd Row centre tickets. could have grabbed his ankle we were that close. Stood at stage and boogied all night. KC has put on a few pounds but still performed like a pro. Oh What A Night. Get Down Tonight KC! You were awesome

  • KC played all the hits!

by torrvil on 2009-07-13Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

He played everything you wanted to hear if your a fan. I don't think my wife sat down for the whole show, which rubbed off on the people around us because everyone was dancing by the end of the show!

  • we danced the night away!

by jaket on 2009-07-13Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

The show was fantastic and the music had everyone moving. I finished chemo this past november and have been pretty quiet since. My husband said he hadn't seen me move like I did nor smile so much in such a long time. I was exhausted from all the dancing After the show we went to the lobby bar and KC and the band were there. We spoke to KC for some time, he was very nice then we had a few drinks with the band members. They were all great guys. I would deffinetly see them again if they came.

  • KC& the Sunshine Band

by malibu on 2009-07-13Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 1 out of 5

It was terrible, some things just shouldn't come back after 30 years. They did very few old songs, and should have left the dancers (aka strippers) behind. Was that really KC???

  • KC took us back to the 70's in style BIG TIME!!
