I haven't had so much fun in a long time! The band was talented and personable. I was amazed really. I believe I was in the hottest spot in Calgary for the lowest price on Saturday! The introductory band ( two guys) were very talented as well. KC was sweet- His humble jokes were really funny- He still has it! I liked him more now than in the 70`s (

Excellent concert. Great energy and fun dancing. Venue was perfect, didn't have to worry about some stuffy people getting mad because you were standing up and blocking their view, plenty of places to stand and huge dance floor. Would love to see more converts at venues like this rather than Dome.

  • KC & The Sunshine Band amazing!!

They are as great as ever. I grew up with their music and am still a Disco fan. This evening was so much fun and the music of the era that was played before the show made it hard to remain in your chair. Being able to hit the dance floor like old times with the disco ball and the music (music I can actually sing along to) gets an off the chart rating from this happy disco chick.

Lots of fun...danced the entire time...too bad KC has lost a step, but hey, trying to keep up with the dancers would be difficcult for any 61 year old ! Aside from that...they were great!!!

  • It was ok once KC actually got on stage.

I hate not knowing there is an opening act. Being told at 8pm that KC will come on stage at 9 is annoying. Well there was drinking so that helped a bit. Some Calgary duo was the opening act for about 30 minutes. They were alright I suppose. Sang some old classics at least. Finally they were done but still no KC. Instead the night turned into a large club. People dancing and having fun. There was a contest to see who had the best costume. After the winner was announced the dancing continued for about 15 minutes. Sure it’s fun but we came to see a concert yet it was as if we were at a night club. And most of the old people dancing made me drink even more. It was the low of the evening. It’s obvious some people do not get out enough. Anyway, at 9:05 KC finally hit the stage. And that’s when the party started. So much energy and excitement. To see them all perform and dance was awesome. The music was amazing and had everyone in the house standing and dancing. The stories shared were interesting and funny. Show lasted about 1.5 hours. It was a good time and although I would not see them again anytime soon I would recommend the show to anyone looking for a fun night out without breaking the bank. We purchased 2 for 1 tickets and sat 3rd row so it wasn’t too bad.

  • Love KC and the Sunshine Band

The show was great even though KC was battling a cold. The two background singers and two dancers were awesome and full of energy! The band was fantastic. It was a great night.

  • KC and his band were great!

    by Tracey1965 on 2011-02-15Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

It was an extremely cold night in Orillia, but the stage was high energy and KC was warm and well, funny. Hard to believe that a guy that just turned 60 on January 31st could keep up with those "20 something" dancers on the stage. At times he slowed down to joke with the audience. His voice was perfect. He's still got it! I bought the tickets for my husband who loved KC when he was a kid in the 70's. I had never seen them before, and was quite impressed with the music. Great show. The crowd seemed to enjoy the show too...they just moved a little slower!! The music brought back lots of memories!

The 2 and a half hour drive to Orillia was worth it. Great show from start to finish. He still has it; sounded great even though he was fighting a cold. The band, female singers and dancers were fantastic. Got us up dancing and singing. A lot of fun.

great show. fantastic lighting and sound. although KC is getting up in the years, he still has the passion and voice of yesterday. He instilled youth in the show with his band and dancers. This band was on my "bucket list" and it was well worth it. Wasn't to crazy about his covers of Brickhouse and Shake your body to the Ground. He has more than enough material to fill a 2 hour show with his own stuff..

  • KC & Sunshine band was quite enjoyable

by Marielle on 2011-02-14Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

Was a high energy show. My wife & I enjoyed the show even more than we expected. Band was good, dancers added a bit of their own flair & KC is a showman ( cold et all) They added some slower stuff to their reportoire, which I didn't really enjoy, but made a good break to the boogie tunes. Refreshing!

  • KC can still rock it!

    by discoqueen1 on 2011-02-14Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

Saw KC and The Sunshine Band at CasinoRama on Feb.11/11. Sooooo much fun! they put on a great show. High energy, great vocals, great musicians, lights and fun banter. Didn't feel like an idiot dancing next to strangers who were also dancing! KC doesn't take himself too seriously and clearly, he has a loyal following and loyal bandmates. An evening of pure fun, and nostalgia!

  • K.C. brings his Boogie Shoes

by RCNR on 2011-02-14Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

Disco was king at Casino Rama when K.C. and The Sunshine Band stopped by to "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty" on February 11. Harry Wayne "K.C." Casey and his band of stellar musicians played a high energy show of their distinctive disco, funk and pop blend that had had the crowd dancing and "Get(ting) Down Tonight". While K.C. was noticeably suffering the effects of a cold, that didn't stop him from singing and dancing through a selection of his greatest hits. After delivering a self-deprecating monologue about how his just turned 60 and has put on some weight since the band's glory years, K.C. kept a good pace with his four back-up dancers/singers, all much younger, demonstrating that, still, "I'm Your Boogie Man", with the crowd enthusiastically responding "That's the Way (I Like It)" (uh-huh, uh-huh). A highlight of the evening was a heart-felt rendition of his classic hit, "Please Don't Go".

  • Great show

    by tom57 on 2011-02-14Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

He's a great entertainer. Good show, the whole crowd was in to it and had a good time.

  • by SharonBB on 2011-02-14Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 3 out of 5

The show was boring & monotonous! The show lacked class & if it wasn't for the girls dancing & singing to keep the crowd going, it would have been over in less than half an hour. The highlight of the entire show was the drummers solo performance.

  • Fun Evening

by northerncheapo on 2011-02-14Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

KC and the Sunshine Band gave a good performance and was a night of great entertainment. I wondered how he would give a full performance around his 6 'hits' but he filled in with some top 40 charts from the same era which complimented the evening nicely. His disco flavour was somewhat diluted with an 'updated' version of his band and was more 'urban' in flavour, which I didn't particular like, but it was ok. All his hits were played and got me up dancing. He enteracted and spoke with the audiance and was HALARIOUS! Hard to believe he's 60 and still dancing away! Good for you KC!
