Show was very good along with Linda Davis. At 77 Kenny is showing his age recommend retirement in the near future.

it was a complete waste of money & time. Mr Rogers could not remember the lyrics to his own songs. he had no voice to sing with and was not able to stand. was just sad.

    Classic

by Marti on 2015-09-08Club Regent Event Centre - Winnipeg

I saw Kenny 3 years ago. He had slowed down, but his voice was still fabulous. This time he had slowed down even more & his voice was very weak. He forgot some words & verses & had to look at his band mates for help. He sat the whole time & looked totally exhausted for the entire show that was as approximately an hour. He kept warning the audience that he might fall over at any time. Since I had seen him a few years back, I knew what to expect, but my husband who saw him for the first time was very surprised & disappointed. I don't regret going at all & although disappointing for my husband, he was happy he got to see an icon like Kenny Rogers.

    Know when to fold 'em

by Tasha2 on 2015-09-06Club Regent Event Centre - Winnipeg

Kenny could barely walk, almost fell over a few times and was generally in no shape to put on a concert. His voice was extremely weak and he forgot numerous lyrics, including full verses. It was sad to watch such an icon fall so far. Even harder when they were showing footage of his glory days behind him. His banter with the crowd was good though and he did acknowledge his troubles. Even if it wasn't the show I was expecting it was nice to see the legend that is Kenny Rogers.

    Know When To Fold 'Em!

by Gopher29 on 2015-09-06Club Regent Event Centre - Winnipeg

Not how I want to remember Kenny! 77 years old. Forgetting the words. No stamina to sing anymore. His band tried their best to carry him through the night helping with the vocals. Such a career but such a shame to see him this way. Covered all of the classics.

    Kenny Rogers

by oldwoman on 2015-09-06Club Regent Event Centre - Winnipeg

I loved the fact that I was actually seeing Kenny Rogers. However, He hardly moved on the stage. He was unsteady on his feet. I had visions of him falling over, he did explain that he had recent knee surgery. His voice was weak and at times it was difficult to hear him over the band. He engaged the audience with some of his songs i.e.' Your picked a fine time to leave me Lucille', I was hoping to hear him sing this song (as it is one of my favorite), not the audience. I was wishing that he would have sung at least one course by himself. He seemed to forget some of the words to some of his songs and often asked for confirmation from a band member for certain titles. For someone who has been entertaining for 50 years, it was far from professional. I felt rather ripped off.

    kenney rogers was enjoyable

Kenney Rogers was entertaining, but too frail to put on a dynamic performance. His time was too short with no encores. Ray St. Germain was terrific!!

    So disappointing

by Truelimey on 2015-04-18Casino Rama - Rama

I was looking forward to seeing Kenny Rogers. He has always been a favourite with so many hit songs. His performance at Casino Rama however was terrible. First of all he limped on stage - due to knee surgery that he had 8 months ago. If you are in that much pain you should still be resting. He then forgot the words to the opening song which I was stunned at - I'm sure along with most other people in the audience. He had to sit down during most of his performance due to his knee. He seemed to forget words or lines to almost all the songs he performed. He talked a lot and was very engaging and interesting. He mentioned that he has 11 year old twin boys and it crossed my mind that maybe he was performing because he needed the money. However, he has a net worth of $250 million so certainly not performing for the money. He said next year will be his final tour, it should have been that night. If you can't remember the words to your songs - even Lady - it's time to give it up.

    Kenny Rogers is Wonderful!!!

by KennyRogersFan on 2015-04-16Casino Rama - Rama

My husband and I have seen Kenny Rogers many, many times over the years, especially the last few years and have never been disappointed. He is a true professional. He is funny and has a great sense of humour. His voice is still amazing and every time his show ends I can't wait to book more tickets to see another show of Kenny's somewhere close enough to drive. We saw his show both nights Friday and Saturday and loved every minute. I hope Kenny comes back to Casino Rama soon. It sounds like he plans to retire the end of next year and that makes me sad. If you get the chance to See Kenny Rogers Live in Concert don't miss the opportunity. He sings all his hit songs and gets the audience singing right along with him. We love Kenny Rogers and hope to see his show again soon. Thanks Kenny for two wonderful evenings.

I just love Kenny Rogers and he entertains us all the way through his show. He is an icon with great songs and performance. I just hope he will be back here in Ontario again. He sang some of his new songs and gets the audience involved in singing with him-brilliant.

    Not a good show

    by 4merFan on 2015-04-14Casino Rama - Rama

Kudos to Kenny for having the guts to still go on stage at 77 years old. But, sometimes, enough is enough. While voices change, and some loss of vocal control is expected, what made the show a disappointment were the multiple, repeated memory lapses on the lyrics. Ruby - minor missteps. Coward of the County was a disaster (forgot a verse, sang the same verse twice, then had to bail in the middle when he realized it). Another song he called out to a band member to assist in singing when it became clear he was forgetting the lyrics. As a serious fan of his music in my younger days, it was a disapointment to be singing along to myself to the music, only to find that he was forgetting his own music. Have been to MANY shows in Rama, and seen many older bands, including members of Starship, Chicago, Boston, and at other venus, Fleetwood Mac (Mick in his late 60's still puts most drummers to shame), and many others. This ranked as the worst I've seen in person.

    Show was just okay

by Bongkie on 2015-04-14Casino Rama - Rama

Was a bit disappointed overall. Drove two hours each way and I got just a little over an hour of entertainment . I think it's time for Kenny to retire. Although, it was still nice to see him sing live even if he's not able to catch his voice the way he used to.

Kenny hit it out of the park, again!

by Gustophers on 2015-04-14Casino Rama - Rama

The Kenny Rogers concert on Saturday night was great. Yes, he is showing his age - he forgot the occasional line and couldn't move around the stage as he has in previous shows I've seen him do. But his voice was quintessentially Kenny and the lack of movement meant that he added in a comedic aspect that I'd not seen from him before. He had us all laughing all night long.... when we weren't feeling sentimental as he crooned out Lady and Through the Years, that is. Another amazing concert from a true performer!

Seen Kenny for three concerts and it has been an amazing experience. I am a very sentimental person coz everytime he sings"Through the Years", I always shed a tear.
