Fans always go nuts for KSE, so make sure to get there early. I was lucky to have a spot in the first row, right in front of Adam D's mic. The opening acts, Shadows Fall and especially Acaro, were fantastic too. When KSE hit the stage, it's a non-stop party for over an hour. They played every song from "Alive of Just Breathing", arguably their best album ever. Tons of credit has to go to Justin, the drummer, for pacing the show throughout, and Mike D, the coolest guy in the band, for always acknowledging the fans in the crowd. I got recognition 5 or 6 times from him throughout. Just an awesome show! This was my second time seeing them in concert in 5 months and both times have just been... wow.

About
Heading downunder as part of Parkway Drive’s Reverence tour, Massachusetts metallers KILLSWITCH ENGAGE have unveiled two epic and intimate headline shows this October-November!
At the turn of the century KILLSWITCH ENGAGE spawned an entire genre with their earth-shattering debut, ‘Alive or Just Breathing’, earning the esteemed title as the Godfathers of Metalcore.
Built organically from the most potent components of melodic, heavy and catchy-as-hell European death metal and the essence of the most grimy, urgent and forever yearning American hardcore, the brilliantly individual KILLSWITCH ENGAGE have come to define a generational shift equal parts inevitable and by design, as cultural earthquakes and uprisings often are.
“… how metal is supposed to be heard….live and loud, pummelling your eardrums, and sending a rush through your body” – Heavy Mag
Joined by Justice For The Damned (Sydney Only), who back up every statement made with their Greyscale Records debut, 'Dragged Through The Dirt', Hysteria Mag calling it a “dark, abrasive, and supremely volatile listening experience” and Ocean Sleeper (Melbourne Only), hot off recording their debut album in the USA, among building a loyal fan base with their chart topping debut EP ‘Six feet Down’.
For these two epic headline shows you can expect a killer career spanning set from KILLSWITCH ENGAGE complete with chugging riffs, high energy and a hunger to perfect their attack on the movement they created. Having sold out shows on their previous tour, don’t miss your chance to see metalcore giants KILLSWITCH ENGAGE tear up these intimate venues.

Fantastic Show!
by i2JH on 2012-12-14The Opera House - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5The night was awesome. Acaro was a great opening band: they were high energy, loud and brutal. They were great for warming the crowd up. Also, it was nice to see them in the crowd mingling with the fans. The vocalist also helmed the merch stand, so it was great to shake his hand as I picked up their album and a shirt. Shadows Fall played the middle slot and nailed it. Incredibly tight in execution and clear in sound, they kept the vibe going. When Killswitch finally took the stage, the place went nuts. As always, Killswitch played an amazing show, playing all of Alive or Just Breathing for the ten-year anniversary tour. They also sprinkled in a few other tracks, like End of Heartache and Rose of Sharyn. It would have been awesome if they played a little more than an hour, but they packed that hour with a lot of music (and a few laughs from Adam's antics on stage). With the price so low ($26.02 in honour of the date of the albums release) it was a steal. Can't wait for their album to drop in April.
great night

Crazy
by Friday on 2009-12-03BIG FOUR BUILDING - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5To start off the venue was great. All floor although the beer was too far away from the pit. Killswitch was amazing playing all their hits and really using the stage. Adam ran back and forth across the stage wearing a cape and fake tuxedo shirt really got the crowd going. Then came the mighty IN Flames this would be my third time seeing them each time getting better and better. Although they promised a new album/tour next year so i will be making it four. They are so skilled and so intense its almost awe inspiring. The light show was one of the better i have seen as well with killswitch having a catwalk accross the top of their backlights which howard would climb up and sing from. In conclusion awesome show and highly recommended.
Our Friendly Neighbors To The North
by NineInch9 on 2009-10-25Shaw Conference Centre - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5Killswitch Engage put on a amazing show with one of the best setlist and some of the best opening acts in metal. First up was Between the Buried And Me, who only got a chance to put in three songs but just that their songs average the 10 minute mark they still have a pretty long setlist. The played All Bodies and White Walls, and then debut a new song from their upcoming album The Great Misdirect. They sounded bang on with their recordings and didn't miss a note out of the million that they cam jam into a song. After them was Protest The Hero, one of my favorites. They played a lot of memorable stuff and the stage antics from all of their members was hilarious. They put on one hell of a show. In Flames was after them and all though I'm not familiar with most of their work, they still impressed. They had a pretty beefy setlist at almost an hour. They had covered the floor in water from soaking the crowd and then their were pits everywhere so it was pretty intense out on the floor. Killswitch Engage was awesome, my only problem it seemed like their setlist was too short, almost shorter then In Flames. They covered al of their best stuff over all the albums they have, I guess except their debut album. Adam even wrote a song "Our Friendly Neighbors To The North" as a tribute of sorts to Canada. Adam never dissapoints, he is a total clown on stage but is still an amazing guitarist.
In Flames W/ KSE, Protest The Hero & BTBAM
by Firejackel on 2009-10-08BIG FOUR BUILDING - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5In Flames @ The Big 4 Building Sept. 14/09. I was quite excited to see Between the Buried and Me and wish they could have had a longer set. Due to their songs being so long they only got to play 4 songs. Protest the Hero is OK I just watch the Bassist because he is an amazing musician. Protest had about a 30 minute set and played around 10 songs. This was my second time seeing KSE I found that their show was very similar to the last time I saw them. A very enteraning band which about 3/4 of the crowd were there to see. KSE had about an hour set and played around 12 songs. In Flames once again had an amazing show. My third time seeing these guys and it was just as amazing as the first. My favorite part of this show is that they played a lot more of their older songs. The last 2 times I saw them they were promoting their new album so that made up the majority of their set. In Flames also played for a good hour with a 14 song set.
kse rocks

Killswitch Engage concert
by Chilliams on 2009-09-25Shaw Conference Centre - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5This was an excellent show once Killswitch got on stage. There were 3 opening acts which was way too many. It should have just been In Flames and than Killswitch engage. I don't think that Shaw conference centre is designed for concerts so the sound wasn't the best not sure I would pay too much money to see another show there unless they fixed the sound problem. I was very impressed with how quick the line moved and the staff seemed friendly. I would LOVE to see Killswitch engage again they are truly amazing!!!! If I was giving stars just for Killswitch Engages' performance I would give them 5 stars hands down.
Killswitch and Protest the Hero were terrific
by Lilla on 2009-09-24Winnipeg Convention Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5I went to the concert excited to see Protest the Hero, and also Between the Buried and Me. The first two bands. They both were totally awesome, and I was happily pleased that In Flames were quite enjoyable as well. Killswitch put on a really exciting show, and now I listen to their music. A very happy concert goer I was!

Bad Ass show
by Guest on 2009-09-19BIG FOUR BUILDING - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5One of the best lineups I've been to in a long time. Killswitch was crazy amazing and In Flames was mind blowing. I wasn't a fan of Protest the hero but I am now.

Best metal concert
by 4show on 2009-09-17Shaw Conference Centre - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5Every single band that played was simply awesome. Fans of In Flames and Killswitch Engage will defiantly enjoy the concert to its full extent. Howard Jones (lead vocals) of KsE has increased vocal power that will blow you away. Every fan will love to share the experience of seeing them live of a few of the best metal bands out there.
Lineup was in the WWWrong order
by CloudConnected on 2009-09-17Shaw Conference Centre - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5Be as it may this is just my opinion but i have seen a lot of shows I've seen all 3 of these bands 3 times now. i can't stand the fact that a more commercially popular band like Killswitch is on top of such an epic band as In Flames. There is more talent in Jesper Stromblad's left leg than in all of KsE. Don't get me wrong I like Killswitch, I think they're good but come on... In Flames has been rockin it out together since 1990. They have 11 albums and they blew the doors off of KsE that night, and I'm sure they could do it rituallistically. I really love 'The End of Heartache' and seeing that clown wannabe comedian guitarist of Killswitch (yes you and I know his name and I dont' feel the need to mention it) bounce around like a retard ruins it for me. Anyways all and all it was a fantastic show and as always the sound at the Shaw was wicked. Love the darkness too! ROCK THE PIT !!
in flames and killswitch
by meanmike666 on 2009-09-17BIG FOUR BUILDING - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5god so much i could say about these amazing bands but there music says enough if you EVER have a chance to see eather of these bands i would highly recomend it and this tour there doing a meet and greet with the bands for 30$ highly worth it overall it was a amazing show and a need to see for the records.
