About

Heading downunder as part of Parkway Drive’s Reverence tour, Massachusetts metallers KILLSWITCH ENGAGE have unveiled two epic and intimate headline shows this October-November!

At the turn of the century KILLSWITCH ENGAGE spawned an entire genre with their earth-shattering debut, ‘Alive or Just Breathing’, earning the esteemed title as the Godfathers of Metalcore.

Built organically from the most potent components of melodic, heavy and catchy-as-hell European death metal and the essence of the most grimy, urgent and forever yearning American hardcore, the brilliantly individual KILLSWITCH ENGAGE have come to define a generational shift equal parts inevitable and by design, as cultural earthquakes and uprisings often are.

“… how metal is supposed to be heard….live and loud, pummelling your eardrums, and sending a rush through your body” – Heavy Mag

Joined by Justice For The Damned (Sydney Only), who back up every statement made with their Greyscale Records debut, 'Dragged Through The Dirt', Hysteria Mag calling it a “dark, abrasive, and supremely volatile listening experience” and Ocean Sleeper (Melbourne Only), hot off recording their debut album in the USA, among building a loyal fan base with their chart topping debut EP ‘Six feet Down’.

For these two epic headline shows you can expect a killer career spanning set from KILLSWITCH ENGAGE complete with chugging riffs, high energy and a hunger to perfect their attack on the movement they created.  Having sold out shows on their previous tour, don’t miss your chance to see metalcore giants KILLSWITCH ENGAGE tear up these intimate venues.

“Killswitch Engage have once again warmed cold, black, metal hearts around the country”- Wall Of Sound

  • Killswitch was EPIC

by RugbyShawna on 2009-09-13Winnipeg Convention Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

Great show, Howard was suffering from a wicked bad cold but kept up his showmanship throughout. Killswitch Engage are the best!!! In Flames were utterly enjoyable as well!!!

  • Killswitch totally killed!

by lovestoned on 2009-09-13Winnipeg Convention Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

Fabulous show! Adam was hilarious in his cut off jeans and golden bejewlled cape! With the exception of some questionable acoustics from the first band (Betwen the Buried and Me) the sound was amazing throughout and the energy level was really high. Great, great show!

  • it was ok....

I loved in flames!!!! they were sooo good!!!! but kill switch wasn't the greatest... i got annoyed with them. Protest the heoro got a lil repetitive but was ok...the opening band was pretty good! I did have a good time tho!!!

I went for in flames, they didn't disappoint. Paid extra to meet the band afterwards and was well worth it. best night i've had in awhile.

  • In flames was amazing!

by Florian on 2009-09-13Winnipeg Convention Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

The concert overall was very good. I really enjoyed it. The opening band was definitely a bit of a let down. I don't even remember their name. Besides this, they were not very well balanced, meaning their drums and singing (i could almost call it mindless screaming at their point) over toned their guitar completely, and i did not enjoy their performance to the fullest. Though i have never heard "Protest the Hero" before this, i definitely enjoyed their performance. My main reason for attending this concert was because of "In Flames" which were amazing. Opened with Cloud Connected, and also played Touch of Red, the Silent Place and My Sweet Shadow. Sadly In Flames had no encore, but amazing in itself. Killswitch Engage was also very good. Nice stage set up, and great interactions with the crowd. Really got the crowd to participate, with increased Crowd Surfing, the Wall of Death and the mosh pit just got bigger when KSE started to play. KSE had an encore as well, which was great. Definitely a memorable experience. I walked away bruised, tired and completely satisfied with my experience. :D

  • Killswitch unreal again

  • KIllswitch + In Flames = Soooooooooo Good

    by Keegan2 on 2009-09-13Winnipeg Convention Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

The evening started off ok. The first two acts were so so but once In Flames hit the stage the night picked up alot of speed. After Killswitch got on stage the energy was just amazing in the crowd. Awesome show.

  • Despite a cold, Howard presented

by Yvesh on 2009-09-13Winnipeg Convention Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

As the title said. Despite being sick, and technical problems with the microphone, this was one of the best concerts I've been to in a while.

  • EPIC- INFLAMES

by Marier on 2009-09-10THE ARROW HALL - MississaugaRating: 5 out of 5

All other bands on the bill I had seen before, except In Flames and they just set the place on fire (don't mind the pun). The guitars were screaming the crowd roaring and Anders Fridén sent bone chilling screams through Arrow Hall. Killswitch was, as always, fantastic- even with a lovely song just for Canada!

  • awesome

  • Amazing

by churchkill on 2009-09-10THE ARROW HALL - MississaugaRating: 5 out of 5

Wasen't too pleased with the new album that much..i found it a little too produced and packaged in the sound, but the songs they played from the new album sounded great live. This is my third time seeing killswitch and i find they play the older songs better and better each time.

  • Was worth getting lost in T.O!

by KAWI on 2009-09-10THE ARROW HALL - MississaugaRating: 4 out of 5

Arrow Hall is an amazing concert hall. Easy access and parking was included in the ticket price. Between the Buried and Me and Protest the Hero were in my opinion the best line ups. They played epic songs and got the crowd into it. In Flames was really good on the throw downs and an amazing light show, they also were an amazing crowd pleaser. Once they got off the stage the place cleared out quite a bit. Dustie from BTBAM through me his pick ( which is a sick custom pick) and I got Paul to sign my shirt up at the front on the side lines. Lots of crowd surfing, some boobs and drinks. Great time and would go back and do it again. I did not see all of Kill Switch Engage, I found it kind of lame of them dancing in capes and some of the statements that were said. Plus I went for the other bands. All in all it was worth the $40 to go!!!

  • Freaking Sweat

In Flames was Amazing and i would go again. The other bands were very good as well. If you like metal i would suggest going to see any of these bands. You wont be dissapointed.
