About

Kings of Leon are a four-time Grammy-winning rock band formed in Nashville, Tennessee. Since their inception in 1999, the group’s lineup has been composed of the Followill brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared, along with their first cousin Matthew Followill. The band emerged with their debut album, Youth & Young Manhood, in 2003, while subsequent releases like 2005’s Aha Shake Heartbreak and 2007’s Because of the Times further established the band as Southern rock staples in the American and international mainstream. Kings of Leon’s 2008 album Only by the Night earned the band’s first RIAA double-platinum certification with hit singles like “Sex on Fire” and “Use Somebody,” the latter of which peaked at a career-best No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Furthermore, 2010’s Come Around Sundown and 2013’s Mechanical Bull both reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200, while their 2016 effort WALLS became Kings of Leon’s first No. 1 debut. In 2021, the group released their eighth album, When You See Yourself

    Amazing of course!!!

by Shyanne on 2017-10-16Rogers Place - Edmonton

This was not the first time I've seen Kings if Leon nor will it be my last!!! They are so unbelievably amazing live that their albums don't do them justice. unfortunately there just wasn't enough time for them to play everything. If you're thinking about going to one of their concerts, don't think, just GO!!!!

    Kings of Leon shockingly weak.

    by Curtis3rd on 2017-10-16Rogers Place - Edmonton

A few years ago my wife and I saw Kings of Leon at Rexall Place and it was probably the best show we had ever seen. Friday night at Rogers place might have been the worst show we have ever seen. They seemed distant and uninterested, even falling apart in the middle of a song. Not to worry though, they looked around at each other and started the song for our pleasure all over again. It reminded me of that scene in the wedding singer, where “Boy George” finishes his song only to begin it all over again. They had barely played for 40 minutes when drink service stopped. That was the only thing keeping us. We bailed shortly after.

KOL were great, the fans/arena were not

by Sixela on 2017-10-16Rogers Place - Edmonton

I have never been to a concert where so many people are talking over the act. Kings of Leon were great, but I hope they couldn’t hear how rude so many of the guests were being. Also, I was sat along an isle that was allowing people from the general admission to walk up/out. It was a constant flow of people the entire time, and it was so distracting. If general admission people want to leave the floor, they should have to leave on the ground exit as to not disturb the people sitting. This was her horrendous, and I hope I never have to sit through that again– Especially when I paid over $100 for my ticket.

2nd time I've seen them, wouldn't go again.

by Radick on 2017-10-16Rogers Place - Edmonton

Not sure what it is about their on stage performance, but it was disappointing. This is my second time seeing them and I wouldn't spend my money on another of their concerts. Love their music, but damn guys put some effort into it. It was like they were just going through the paces. No excitement. No interacting with the crowd. No encore. For how high energy some of their songs are, their on-stage person felt so lacklustre. It was a good night, but nothing I'll pay money to see again. My girlfriend felt the same way and she loves live music.

Great sound and so many good songs. Awesome vibe in the crowd

The and was great and the songs were great of course. The sounds was awful. Tinny and echoing the first few songs and NOT loud enough. I could have a normal conversation with the person beside me. I even contemplated trying to get my money back for the tickets because at least where we were, high in the 300's beside the stage, the sound was awful. I feel cheated a bit

    Freakin fantastic!

by ClayBurd on 2017-10-14Rogers Arena - Vancouver

The show was amazing! The video screens that were set up, made it extremely easy for everyone to view the performers, they were crystal clear. The guys put on a great show.

    Devastating and lazy

by Nickelfan on 2017-10-14Rogers Arena - Vancouver

My wife and I have seen KOL twice before. They are one of our favourite groups and in the past have put on a well designed and engaging show. This was anything but. The audience was never addressed, the set list was lazy, no encore. It seemed they couldn't wait to get out of there as soon as possible. By the 4th or 5th song, the audience started the feel it. People around us sat down, got bored and even went home. We are so unbelievably disappointed - KOL should be ashamed of themselves. Fame getting to their head perhaps? The people sitting next to us, before they left about 3/4 through, said it best: "we're out: the level of arrogance and douchebag-factor coming out of these guys is too much."

    Kings are tight!!

    by Bobbin123 on 2017-10-14Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Great show. Seen them 3 times now, and they keep getting tighter and more entertaining. They aren't a jump around the stage kind of band but they just want to okay rock n roll.

    Why stand?

    by Bigfan65 on 2017-10-14Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Kings of Leon put on very competent performance 3 minite hits at a time. When they finished the play list, concert over. No improvisation no risks, no emotion. I don’r Understand why everyone stands through the concert. We’re not on the floor, and there is no emotional moments to cause one to leap out of your seats. No it’s just bad manners.

    Kings Of live

by PaulFo on 2017-10-14Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Kings Of Live, Great show. A good selection of old and new material. Production was great, they managed to create an intimate feel within an arena. Poor tickets choices, no standing options and tickets were at the side on the back. Bought pre-sale and at the time of release. Does not makes sense.
