Kylie Minogue is a Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter who’s sold over 80 million records worldwide. “Australia’s Queen of Pop”(Opens in new tab) is also the highest-selling female artist in the country’s history. After launching into the stratosphere with a series of pop hits in the ‘80s, Minogue would reinvent herself on albums like Impossible Princess (1997) and her dance-pop masterpiece Fever (2001), which included the Billboard Hot 100 hit “Can't Get You Out of My Head,” as well as fan favorites like "Come into My World." Since 1989, Minogue has embarked on fifteen international concert tours, and has established herself as an LGBTQ+ icon and touring powerhouse. The Aussie superstar continued her cosmic ascent with 2023’s “Padam Padam,” a global hit that set the stage for Minogue’s next era and sixteenth studio album, Tension.

  • Kylie was amazing and her voice was spot on

by KellyJubinville on 2009-10-11Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Kylie was amazing. the show had outrageous theatrics, state of the art lightshows, spot on timing, and powerhouse vocals. I would certainly go to her concert again and recommend it.

  • Kylie is amazing!

It was a long time waiting for Kylie to play in Canada! and it was worth the wait, no other way to say it other than she just projects pure unadulterated joy throughout the entire show! Come back to Toronto many more times!

  • Magical night!

by kyliekyliekylie on 2009-10-11Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Great show, amazing set design albeit a little small, wonderful choice of songs to compliment her career achievements and an amazing effort by kylie who looked exquisite and sounded very good. Been to many of her shows before, and although this particular show was impressive I felt that she had little stage area to occupy, and there were too many back-drop screens plus the back-up music, all combining to drown her a little..but I think that was the venue itself not being able to accommodate her usual huge stage-props etc..

  • Kylie was amazing!!!

Oh my goodness I couldn't believe how good this show was. I have honestly wanted Kylie to come to Canada forever and when I found out that she finally was, I knew it was going to be unforgettable and that I had to get tickets. Boy, was I right! This show was incredible, the lighting, the costumes, the band, the dancers and of course Kylie herself blew me completely away! I had heard from some people who'd seen her perform in Europe that she wasn't the best singer, well quite frankly they lied. She sounded Amazing. This was such a fun night, I didn't stop dancing until the very end. Even now a couple of days later I can't stop singing her songs. I can't wait to see her perform here in Canada again! I <3 K.M.

  • A Kylie and Kylie Fan love fest

    by RAVEN1TO on 2009-10-11Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

My sister and I have seen many concerts and musical shows prior to this one from the best seats we could get. This time the seats we had were never used. We spent the entire show on our feet in response to the music and Kylie's presence on stage along with the rest of the audience. This was much more than a show, it was an event that I will remember for a long time. I hope that she will come back so her friends and fans can show their appreciation in person again.

  • Kylie Minogue was amazing

by jccheung on 2009-10-11Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Kylie Minogue performed her first ever Toronto concert on Friday night at the Air Canada Centre and it was an amazing spectacular. It was the best produced concert that I've ever been to with all of the lasers, lights, dancers, and costume changes. At 41 years of age, Kylie looked as radiant as ever. Kylie's voice was in tip top form as she sang during the entire two hour set without lip synching and only with the occasional assistance of her two back-up vocalists. This concert was also the best sounding that I've ever attended at the ACC and big kudos to her sound crew and engineers for succeeding in making the cavernous arena actually sound good. I hope all Kylie fans in Toronto realize how lucky and fortunate we are as Toronto was her fifth stop out of only six during her first ever North American tour and the only Canadian one. I really hope that she comes back again one day but it may very well turn out to be once in a lifetime experience. Sadly, the venue didn't sell out but there seemed to be a lot of walk up traffic to buy tickets before the concert and the ACC was probably close to 90% capacity and for the record 90% of that number consisted of gay men.

  • Kylie Minogue's North American Tour

by SebB on 2009-10-11Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Kylie didn't disappoint with her stage show which was a spectacular introduction for my daughter's first trip to a concert. She is still definitely catering to her audience of those that "travel on the other bus" but generally the flamboyance is good fun if a bit naughty. Her many costume changes were extremely rapid and did not slow things up however the chaise longue lounge version of "Confide In Me" did put the brakes on a little. Generally all the hits were there, although we did have to wait for the encore to hear "Your Disco Needs You" which was delivered after a moments consultation with the band and the backing singers.

    Nothing but praise here.

  • Kyle Minogue in Toronto - at last

by scatalin on 2009-10-11Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

It’s unbelievable Kylie never came so far to Canada (indeed, to North America) for a concert. An event like this was long overdue. Now finally we had our chance to see Kylie. The show was really great: amazing lights and lots of imaginative visuals, almost hypnotic at times, with a huge electric crowd. There were the old ones, like “Slow” or “I Believe In You”, but of course there is relatively recent stuff in the concert, too – and what’s really great is that she played (almost) everything as if being something fresh. I especially loved the way Kylie did the “Locomotion”: not the usual thing you know, but with a touch of cabaret in it, with an atmosphere, costumes, and visuals to match. Or, “Confide In Me” went to the a capella route that evening, and it was a pleasant surprise. Despite all this, what was there that I didn’t enjoy everything at its fullest? I don’t know, maybe the show was a little bit overdone. For example, Kylie changed her dresses at least six or seven times from what I remember. Good thing in itself, but the very act of changing took around five minutes or more each time, and the crowd had to deal with some Kylie images on those big screens until she came back. Next time she needs to do it a little bit faster, or maybe change the show concept. The dancers were so-so, nothing impressive. They didn’t seem to be really interested in what they did and they probably relied more on their looks to please everybody instead of their dancing skills. There were a few other things that contributed to that feeling of not-so-great a performance overall. True, it was amazing, but not exceptionally so. Memorable at times, ho-hum at others.

by Canadan on 2009-10-10Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Wow, I just loved every minute of seeing Kylie on Canadian soil, about time!! She did a great job for her first time here. She was very gracious, loved the crowd, sang her little heart out and the show and sets were spectacular. Everything was sung live! She doesn't dance like Madonna but who cares, she's not Madonna, she's Kylie! She's cute as hell and can't wait to see her again (hopefully with her new album next year?)

I've been waiting for Kylie to come to Canada for a long time. And she was worth the wait. She had many costume changes. She was beautiful. Her voice sounded amazing and her songs are so much fun to dance to. Her backup dancers were fun to watch. I like her set of the stage etc. I would definitely see her again. She played a song from her new album which unfortunately I can't remember the title but it's catchy and I am cant wait for her album to come out.
