About

Kylie Minogue is a Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter who’s sold over 80 million records worldwide. “Australia’s Queen of Pop”(Opens in new tab) is also the highest-selling female artist in the country’s history. After launching into the stratosphere with a series of pop hits in the ‘80s, Minogue would reinvent herself on albums like Impossible Princess (1997) and her dance-pop masterpiece Fever (2001), which included the Billboard Hot 100 hit “Can't Get You Out of My Head,” as well as fan favorites like "Come into My World." Since 1989, Minogue has embarked on fifteen international concert tours, and has established herself as an LGBTQ+ icon and touring powerhouse. The Aussie superstar continued her cosmic ascent with 2023’s “Padam Padam,” a global hit that set the stage for Minogue’s next era and sixteenth studio album, Tension.

Kylie was absolutly amazing, she opened the show in true pop diva form decending upon the crowd on top of a crystal skull. For 2 straight hours she amazed us with great music and beautiful costumes, and hott dancers lol. I really hope that she comes back soon, I would be there in a heart beat!

  • Kylie's concert had me 'Spinning Around'

by Beeb on 2009-10-10Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

What a fantastic way to start the Thanksgiving weekend! Kylie, the consummate performer lived up to all expectations. We didn't sit for one second during the entire concert, as she thrilled the crowds with a new song, and plenty of older favourites. If anything, after over two hours of entertaining us, she left us wanting more. Her costumes, the dancers, the band and the set were all well cooridnated and just meshed well for a fantastic concert we will never forget!

  • Kylie is a goddess & the performance was awesome!

by LatinRaver on 2009-10-10Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The event was in the best place for this kind of concerts (Air Canada Centre), as usual the organization and security were perfect and the staff guides very helpful. The DJ who played in the meantime Kylie showed up was cool. Kylie's concert was absolutely awesome!

  • Kylie Minogue's First Visit in Canada

by Anonymous on 2009-10-10Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent! Two pieces of feedback: (1) the transition between songs was a little slow (2) Kylie's mic was not very effective at times. Come back soon :-)

  • Kylie is the new Disco Queen

by Novaheart on 2009-10-10Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Her first show in Toronto was spectacular. The light show was brilliant, litteraly. The show was a blend of showgirl meets Broadway meets avant garde meets some kind of 80's spaced out theme. Kylie is in top form, she looks hot and she sang in perfect pitch even hitting some crazy high notes, her silky higher range voice cuts through the music quite well and the band sounded excellent, very tight. The sound quality was very good, crip and clean with deep bass - quite good for a large venue. The crowd was LOUD but everyone was in a good mood. Great fun, was the party to be at this weekend for sure.

  • Awesome!

  • kylie pure entertainment

    by ej45 on 2009-10-10Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Kylie Minogue at the ACC was a fabulous show. The sound quality was the best I've heard at this venue. Kylie was in great form both vocally and otherwise. You could see on her face just how much she loves to perform. The show was pure entertainment for our eyes and ears. The crowd consisted of mostly loyal fans who knew most of the material and it was obvious that there was very little to no disappointment. What I love about Kylie Minogue is that her music is just fun. It's not heavy, there is no great meaning to it, but it makes you feel happy as it hits your primal emotions. Everyone at the show was hit hard with what she does best.

  • Kylie was awesome!

by Anonymous on 2009-10-10Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

She looks fantastic for a person that's over 40. Her voice is amazing, she sounded as good live as she did on her albums. The performances were a lot of fun to watch, especially the dancers. It was great that she took the audience into consideration for an encore performance, listening to the requests.

  • Kylie is sensational!

  • Kylie - It was worth the wait!

by TOKylieLover on 2009-10-10Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Kylie did not disappoint her Toronto fans in her one and only stop in Canada. The show was great! From the DJ warm-up, who would tease us with just notes of Kylie tunes, to the extended encore, it was a night of dance diva gone North American! Although I, who have been a fan since the 80's, would have liked more of her earlier songs, she provided a good mix of new and old favourites. The crowd, being Canadian, was subdued during the songs, BECAUSE WE WERE LISTENING!!! This may have put Kylie off a bit as she kept encouraging us to join in and sing, wave and dance. She looked to be having fun, but this fastpaced microtour must be quite hard on her. Nevertheless, she never showed any signs of fatigue. Many costume changes, but hardly a lull in the action. Two full hours of singing and dancing, many different styles (Locomotion as a 30's burlesque number was different, but enjoyable!) If she ever comes back to North America, even close to where you live, get there and see this wonderfully talented performer.

  • Another point of view.

by vincentz on 2009-10-10Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

This review probably won’t represent the point of view of the typical spectator for the followign reaosns: First, this is not my kind of music, but that was exactly the reason I decided to watch it. I was lacking an experience of the big budget concert of the mega-stars like Madonna and the expectation was that this will be the one. Second, I had been in the professional music business for 5 years and my look at this event is probably slightly spoiled by this experience of knowing how these things should really work. Nevertheless, let me put my experience in terms of pros and cons below. Pros: Solid, well balanced sound. Excellent visual effects. Cons: 1. Less than average choreography. It really looked like the dancing team was assembled couple days prior to the begining of the event and was given little or no directions on terms of the general idea of the show. The movements were non-synchronized, the composition wasn’t there and basically it would be more beneficial for the show to not have dancing team at all around Kylie and let her do her show along. 2. Although Kylie sang for real, about 80% percent of the music was pre-recorded and played back using sequencers and synthesizers, so musicians at the back stage had very little to do to contribute. 3. And finally, I did not understand completely the main idea of the show, because few conceptual themes were mixed together without a purpose. For example how coming from space in the beginning can be connected with four naked men taking a shower on the main sene later on is beyond me. Space travelers and homosexuality. Cool...but unconvincing. So, the bottom line – I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. But, on a positive note Kylie was sweet and Toronto audience was so happy to see her that everything else really didn’t matter.

  • Kylie was unforgettable!!

  • Shocked by the power!

by XtopherHellfire on 2009-10-10Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

I found the whole show energetic with loads of audience appreciation /interaction. For me Kylie has always been the good witch dance diva to madonnas ice queen dance diva:-) I met some lovely ladies and we had a sing song the entire show! The only time we sat was for a ballad. Loved it!

Kylie Minogue last night at the ACC was a showcase of Toronto on the fast track to the category of World Class city. I believe Kylie attested that and she delivered accordingly.

  • Queen of Popular Music

    by Tarik8ereket on 2009-10-10Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Kylie did not disappoint; the lights, costumes, backup dancers, band, and the voice all brought into one big disco (aka Air Canada Centre)! This was a true treat that many people in Toronto were looking forward to and now we're asking for more.
