Lovely to see Carol Burnett in person

by Sadielady on 2016-06-24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Ms Burnett is wonderful. However, I was a bit disappointed. The show played clips of her show. I was thinking I could have just bought the Time Life series. Part of the Carol Burnett Show was letting the audience ask her questions. So this was the majority of the evening. I wish that would have been only 30 mins of the 90 min show. I wish she would have a monologue. It was still great to be in the same room with a legend.

    Loved her!

by carla1311 on 2016-06-24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Was an awesome show. She showed some of the funniest clips of her show and told such interesting and funny stories. The audience asked some very good questions and she honestly answered all of them whether they were personal or career oriented. Overall a very enjoyable evening, learned lots that I didn't know about her and also laughed til I cried!!

    Was A Wonderful Show

by Quickbeam on 2016-06-24Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Carol Burnett put on a wonderful show. Can't recommend it highly enough. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the show was a little on the short side, but still, given Carol's age, you can't really say too much negative even about that. After a video presentation, Carol came out on stage and basically said "we are going to turn up the lights and I'm going to take questions from the audience. Tonight we are going to fly without a net." And that's exactly what she did. And she answered all the questions brilliantly and with good, clean humour and honesty. There were also some video clips included which were also very well received. Just can't say enough good things about this show.

by outforlaughsincalgary on 2016-06-24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Carol Burnett is such a down-to-earth person. You would never guess, by her attitude, that she is so famous. She is so incredibly talented and so entertaining! Her show was very comical yet intimate. She told stories about her life and made everyone feel like we are her friends. It was amazing!

    Carol Burnett my childhood idol

by KellyJones on 2016-06-24Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The evening was full of laughter and tears. Watching the big screen of past performances from the amazing talented actors and entertainers of an era that has long since gone... Listening to Carol Burnett reminisce of the likes of Harvey Korman and Tim Conway was enlightening. It took me back to the time of innocence of being a young child sitting cross legged on the living room floor with my family. Our home would fill with laughter. Thank you Carol Burnett for giving me back those long lost memories.

    Like seeing an old friend

by Green4lady on 2016-06-24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Enjoyed the clips of the Carol Burnett show. Learned a few things I did not know about Carol during the question and answer session. She is very quick in her "comic" answers. It would have been nice if they had used the screen so as everyone could have seen her clearly.

    Amazing - Queen of Comedy

by Tish on 2016-06-24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Carol is a comedy icon - have seen her twice and would see her again. It was like an evening with her in her living room - funny, witty and just warm.

    A Good show

by daryl04 on 2016-06-24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

The show was a series of clips from the Carol Burnett show and Carol answering questions from the audience. It was very laid back and not very formal. Although I did enjoy it I think it would have been better to have an interviewer to guide the show along a little bit and ask more interesting questions than some of the fluff that the audience was asking. It would have been good as well if they had a video screen with a camera showing Carol as anyone farther back from the main level would not have been able to see anything. I Did learn some interesting things about Carol and her life and overall an enjoyable evening.

    The Fabulous Carol Burnett

by hbirrell on 2016-06-24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

I'm almost without words to describe my experience, but I'll try. She was beyond fun, charming, inviting, warm, inspiring, joyful, regal, and I can go on and on. She was like an old pair of jeans, well worn slippers, a good old friend. I absolutely loved loved seeing her! Brings back the most wonderful memories, interestingly one of those people that influence young minds. And older ones too. I wish we had more shows with good clean fun like hers did. It took me by surprise when I looked her up on wiki. She's 83 years young, still touring to make people laugh, it's what makes her go and aren't we so very lucky! I wish her well to live long like Betty Whiite and longer than George Burns. We need you. We really do. Thanks for another sweet memory.

    Funny and inspirational

by Janspar on 2016-06-24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Carol Burnett is funny to the bone and a wonderful story teller. I was enthralled for the 2 hours and laughed like I did when I watched her show years ago. She and her show never grow old.

A Night Out with a STAR

by teutonic on 2016-06-24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

This was not the first time that I experienced sharing an evening with Carol Burnett, I did that for many years growing up. But this was a first time that I experienced the up-close and personal sharing of stories with an "Amazing and Talented" lady. Thank you for finding my inner child again, loved your show!!

    Carol Burnett

by KED1964 on 2016-06-24Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

This past Tuesday evening I was fortunate to get to see Carol Burnett live and in person. Ms. Burnett is still hilarious, warm, endearing and as always, a very classy lady. To say that I enjoyed the evening is an understatement as it was more like a happy reunion with an old beloved friend.

My Mouth Hurt From Laughing So Much

by Beerguyrob on 2016-06-21Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

The best gift you can buy your mother is to take her to see Ms Burnett. She answers all questions, and shows clips and talks about them. It didn't seem like 90 minutes, and you didn't want it to end.

Carol Burnett was as funny as I always remembered.

by Seahawk528 on 2016-06-21Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

We had great seats with clear view in the left orchestra. The videos she showed brought great memories of watching the show. She was very gracious with the questions from the audience. The show was a bit shorter than I thought it might have been, but seeing her in person was a great memory creator. She moved around very well for a "mature" lady, and her class showed for the entire visit. Thank you, Carol, for a great experience. Ron and Bev Glauser RICHMOND, BC Canada.

    Nice Walk Down Memory Lane

by TrinaVancity on 2016-06-21Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

It actually made me emotional to see Carol in person because her show was my favorite as a kid and it just brought back a lot of good memories. It was also a shocking reminder as to how much the world has changed in the past 30 years. There will never be another Carol Burnett. Go see her if you have the chance! You won't regret it!

    Nostalgic Evening with an Icon

by Vencouver on 2016-06-21Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

What delightful event with one of comedy's greatest living entertainers. Carol Burnett took us down memory lane and made us laugh all over again to some of the most classic moments from her TV show. She was incredibly kind, frank and open to all audience members who had questions for her and masterfully wove anecdotes and memories from her career into the evening. We did not know what to expect and were somewhat hesitant about the Q&A nature of the evening (with no vetting) but her experience and professionalism overrode any bumps and everyone left with a smile on their face. It was a night to remember.

    Carol was funny!

by Rocker57 on 2016-06-21Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Carol Burnett is a living legend. She came out on stage in a glittering blue jacket over a dress and she looked amazing. She still has a bounce to her step and the audience loved her. She opened with scenes from The Carol,Burnett Show; and just like in her shows, she took questions from the audience. We even sang Happy Birthday to an 85 year old!
