I had seen this piece of work by Les Ballet Jazz pre-covid and was blown away by the artistry of the dancers, the choreography, the lighting, all to the fabulous music of Leonard Cohen. I wanted to see it again but was actually afraid of being disappointed because I had been so impressed the first time I had seen it.....well, I liked it even better! BREATHTAKING.
The performances, choreography, sets and of course the music were brilliant! Enjoyed every aspect of this jazz ballet.
Every detail in this production is flawless. The dancers move with a sensuality that can only be wrought from Cohen's lush compositions. There are moments of mirth, deep sorrow, and tranquility. Phenomenal all around!
Music and dancing coordinated so well lovely evening
The lighting was absolutely outstanding! The overall performance had a definite influence of William Forsythe in both the fluidity, movement and interpretation.

Venue excellent. I took my granddaughter age 10, who loves dance. I love Leonard Cohen songs , so hoped we’d both enjoy it. As it was the performance had us both mesmerised from start to finish. Absolutely stunning choreography, performance and set design. We both loved every second and joined with everyone in the audience to give a standing ovation at the end… such an amazing 🤩 performance 🎭 Well done Les Ballet Jazz De Montreal. A fitting tribute to Leonard. 👏👏👏👏👏
This performance was amazing in its simplicity of props and in the intricacy of its choreography. Cohen's music is incredible in itself but to watch the dancers perform at such an intense level of energy left one entranced.
Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal never disappoint and this interpretation of Leonard Cohen's songs is no exception. It was 90 minutes of spectacular dance, and the full auditorium rose as one in a standing ovation for this amazing troupe.
I loved the show and I adore Leonard Cohen’s music. However I will NEVER EVER buy seats in the balcony Ever Again! There is no way to truly enjoy the interaction between the dancers, the feeling, intensity.
