LUDACRIS IN CONCERT:
As far as sonic recognizability goes, few rappers can top the unmistakable timbre of Ludacris' signature drawl. Luda has been an ubiquitous presence in rap music ever since his 1998 on-record debut, and with "Party Girls," the first preview single from eighth album Ludaversal, climbing charts in early 2014, he's showing no signs of slowing. Luda treated audiences at his 2013 shows to marathon sets of his greatest hits, and with a new album hitting shelves in 2014, fans are sure to get some special treatment on his upcoming tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born Christopher Brian Bridges in Illinois, Ludacris moved to Atlanta at age nine. After a stint as a radio DJ on Atlanta's legendary Hot 97.5, he scored his first mainstream exposure on the track "Phat Rabbit," a collaboration with Timbaland from the famed producer's 1998 album Tim's Bio: Life from da Basement. Ludacris built on this success with his 2000 debut album Back for the First Time, which contained several huge singles, and in 2003 he topped the Billboard 200 with third album Chicken-n-Beer. His next two albums would also top the chart, spawning classic No. 1's "Stand Up" and "Money Maker" and establishing him as one of rap's biggest players. With seven Top 5 albums under his belt and eighth album Ludaverse due out in 2014, anticipation for Luda's upcoming tour dates is at fever pitch.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"I would see Ludacris again in a heartbeat. He is as good live as he is on every single one of his albums. He's funny, he's clever, he's entertaining and he's downright sexy."
"...Ludacris came up, and I was absolutely floored. A wonderful combination of his old number one hits and his new ones made me fall in love all over again with his artistry. He was very charismatic and able to keep the crowd going."
"Luda was awesome!!! I have never had that much fun at a concert ever. Luda is a pure entertainer!!!! Great selection!"
the concert was great but it was way too short...only lasted about 1 hour. And he didn't sing the full version of his songs, just part of the songs which was a bit annoying
We had great seats....concert was amazing....something off my bucket list...was a really awsome night.
The performance was only an hour and fifteen minutes and ludacris was on stage for only an hour not cost effective
Ludacris was amazing! The show was so good, only downfall was the performance was very short, like 45 minutes at most. We had really good seats, the show was incredible, just wished it was longer for the price I paid for 4 tickets. Venue should have bars more accessible as well.
The performance was great. The venue floor in the middle section is almost like bleachers that swayed back and for to the motion of people in the crowd. Caused my one friend to have a panic attack. I question if the seating has that much flex to sustain motion of this sort or if it will eventually lead to a catastrophic failure, which my husband felt could be a possibility.
For the amount we spent on the tickets, we were very disappointed to travel all the way to Orillia for a show that lasted LESS than an hour! The bars immediately closed inside the venue once Ludacris hit the stage, which meant you had to leave the theatre to get a drink. Unfortunately everyone had the same idea and the time it took to walk to the bar and wait in line, took away nearly 20 mins of show time. Not to mention the sound was disappointingly low. For a hip hop show, I expected the energy to be much higher and the drinks to be a lot more accessible. For a sold out show, consider having more staff onsite to cater to the crowds you are drawing in.
The concert was 58 minutes. Shortest ever. And totally scripted. I googled and found a description of a concert that Luda did at a fair over the summer and it was word for word verbatim. All the same comments and jokes. Same songs. It felt artificial and it was. And I couldn't believe it was less than an hour. I drove 5 hours for that!
Sound problems, hour long show. Quiet sound.. super mid
It was a good show but way to short. Ludacris preform less then an hour. A lot of people was disappointed. Sometime it's not about money but for your fans.
Fifth time seeing Ludacris. Always delivers. He likes to touch on his hits with his verse and keep it moving. Great show. As always, it was a short show (less than an hour) but highly enjoyable
We purchased 7 tickets for my sisters birthday. Paid $90 each and show started at 8 Pm. The opening act was his DJ who did play some great songs. Luda arrived on stage at 830, him and his friend jumped around for 55 minutes with one wardrobe change and the show was over by 9:25 pm. The shortest concert I have ever attended in my life and was actually extremely disappointed. Do not recommend
We (and many around us) were in utter shock at how short this concert was. Not a full song done and even a DJ break in it. He was fantastic but we were so so disappointed in the end. Went on at 8pm and we were leaving the venue by 9:30.
I loved the concert. I wished the concert was longer then 1 1/2 hours.. I was disappointed that Casino Rama had only 2 food options and very very long line ups.
Luda was amazing… better in person then on cd! But the shortest concert I’ve ever been to! Not even an hour… sooo disappointed ☹️
Ludacris did an amazing job for his performance but I feel with the tech issues in the beginning that the show should of went on a little longer to make up for it.
Way to short Only played for 60 mins Waiting in line for a drink for 40 mins
Unfortunately, Ludacris left me wanting more. Concert started at 8 and ended at 9:30. His performance was great but I wish he gave us more!
Ludacris was absolutely amazing for the 40 mins he was on stage. It was a great concert just not quite long enough.
Loved ludacris and his energy on stage. Music was great. The venue was the issue. Some of the sound cut out at the start of the concert. Also Rama needs to do better with the bar/ concession. Always a mess. Add more servers/ drink stands to avoid congestion and snacks running out
A time was HAD with a few friends! We got to relive our teenage years listening to Luda! Very nostalgic! He put on a really great show & hasn’t aged one bit. Lol. I love that man!
