Blackfoot, 38 Special, ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd all super talented . .but while security is great at keeping the aisles clear, they need to tell the air guitar players or fools singing over the band to shut up and sit down . .we all paid top $$ for this . .these are guys that belong on the lawn as they bump, disrupt and disturb those on all sides of them . .that's 8 people if you do the math . .I'm a big guy and have made many smarten up but DO not want to be kicked out with the idiot and miss teh concert for standing up for my experience . .
We have been to a lot of concerts over the years but this is one of the best - in our top 5. Great venue and great entertainment. We are still talking about it....
I can honestly say I have mixed reviews on this show.. Positive - the play of blackfoot, and zz top - the memories of the songs from 38 special - the musicianship of Lynrd Skynrd Negatives - the ugliness of the crowd in section 304 - the pandering to the crowd from Lynyrd Skynrd to Canada - seemed a little off, although I appreciate the attempt - the response by security to the crowd in section 304
Loved the show and of course wanted it to be longer. Felt ZZ Top got the crowd going more than Skynyrd and felt they could have played more of their hits. Love the Venue and will continue to see shows there.
Great group pairings for my age group, no fights everyone was having just a good ol time, had so much fun!!
Great show and good opening acts. Price of drinks and food is ridiculous.
38 Special was good. ZZTop is always great. Lynyrd Skynyrd was ok. Sound was too loud and distorted for most of the concert.
Blackfoot, 38 Special, ZzTop, Skynyrd.... How could that go wrong?? 38 was great, ZZ was a dream come true - such talent and tunes! Front row with Rev.Gibbons standing right in front of me was beyond! And then the boys hit the stage... Non stop hits and energy, throwbacks to the old stuff.... Epic!
Skynryd good set list, crowd well into it. ZZ top ok & 38 special very good.
All the big songs and high energy from two iconic Southern Rock bands! Skynard put on a great show! With great support from .38Special & Blackfoot.
ZZTop were incredible, we loved them better than the main attraction. What a treat it was!!!
I was disappointed with the sound quality and volume. I feel the sound would have been better if reduced a few decibels. My ears were ringing for 24 hours afterwards and we were in the 400 section.
Great line up from start to finish big build up to the closing act .
Awesome show! Not my first time seeing them, not my first time getting rocked - such a great time! Crowd was good too, not many fights; a sign of maturity.
What a pleasant surprise...beautiful evening and lots to walk around a look at....4 bands in one night. I would get better seating next time however was pleased with the production and the show.
Amazingly Intimate and Over the top - WABAM!! I went not really knowing them or their songs -odd right?! But totally a fan on departure. Some times life gets in the way of the really good stuff I guess
ZZ top was great...full of energy and showmanship; all be it that the sound was not great. The lawn area was way oversold, crowded and thick with smoke of all sorts....not that this was not to be expected but it was certainly worse than anticipated and not enforced by security at all. Skynard was disappointing with too much American patriotism for me. They tried to do a Canada balancing act but it was too over the top. Also too much homage to past band members. Skynard Nation was cheesy...overall would not go to see this show again nor recommend it.....Free Bird the only worthwhile part of the show. You could feel the crowds energy deplete during the LS portion of the show...too bad.
The show was great with some excellent southern rock bands. The set lists were excellent, with the bands playing the song you would want to hear. Problem was, the sound was not good. Way too loud in our section, making it difficult to listen or hear any individual tones. Some of the guitar solos were lost or totally muddled. The engineers need to work on this - in today's age and technology, there is no excuse for poor sound that hides behind sheer volume.
What a treat it was seeing them all perform! <3 <3
