My wife, daughter and myself drove the 5 hours from London Ontario Canada to Dayton Ohio USA to see Lynyrd Skynyrd at the Rose Music Center at the Heights. We camped at the KOA camp grounds near by for a few days. The Rose Music Center in Huber Heights is an amazing semi-outdoor facility that does not have a bad seat in the whole place. It is open on the sides with a roof covering all seats so rain or shine the show goes on without a hitch. Skynyrd, what can you say other than awesome. They played all of their hits and had the crowd on it's feet from the first note to the last I never seen anyone sit back down. This was our first time seeing Skynyrd and we will see them again at the first opportunity. This was our 10th concert of the summer of 2015.We have seen the likes of Def Leppard,The Tragically Hip,Rush,Foo Fighters,Sound Garden,Jane's Addiction,Monster Truck,Finger Eleven,Billy Talent,Rise Against and numerous supporting acts with only AC/DC left to go.I would have to say Lynyrd Skynyrd ranks right up there with the best of them.We will for sure see them again and we are looking forward to seeing who the Rose Music Center has lined up for the summer of 2016.
This was hands down an awsome show. I few newer songs and all the classics. bravo.
Absolutely fantastic! Good old ROCK AND ROLL!!! So happy to see them !
I actually had tickets for the Friday night concert at Rama and thought the concert was on Saturday night. I checked my tickets after the concert was over and I was 2 hours away. I checked online and there were two tickets available (not in the same row) for the Saturday night concert in Windsor. I bought them and booked a hotel and drove 3 hours from Hamilton to see them. I was not disappointed at all. They came on stage shortly after 9 and played all the favourites. The sound in the Colosseum was spot on, thoroughly enjoyed the concert. They sound just like the original band, VanZant is doing his brother proud. Freebird was the final song (of course) and it was spectacular. I have been waiting to see them for a number of years. Good crowd participation and even some dancing as well. (T-shirt prices a little high for my liking)
My wife and I had never seen Lynyrd Skynyrd live but had wanted to for some time and we were looking forward to finally seeing them. It is unfortunate that the band has only one original member at this point but everyone did a great job. We heard a couple unfamiliar songs and, of course, most of the big hits. We enjoyed them all. There was lots of energy and talent on display at all times. The eagle on the piano was a nice touch. Our only complaints: we wish the show had been longer and it was hard to hear many of the solos and the ladies backup vocals - the band was a bit too loud. But, to be clear, we can't wait to see them again.
Just a great show, a must see show in a great place
Lynyrd Skynyrd did an amazing show. The problem lies with not being able to get up and dance a bit in the venue. No alcohol allowed in the venue too was silly.
Really enjoyed this concert. Was a little slow going for me at first but when they started to rock they brought the house down!!!
It was a great concert would go again if they returned to Ceasars.
Great from beginning to end. Each song was thoroughly enjoyable - very energetic. Crowd pleasing encore!
excellent excellent excellent they could of played all night
Great show, full hour and a half of constant music! Awesome music! I had a great time. Only advice for band can u introduce the band members!
The concert was great. Skynard has not lost any of their magic. The energy that they put into the performance was tremendous. We enjoyed it imensly. The only problem I had was wiyh the DRUNKS sitting around us. They found it more important to get up and down from the row every 10 minutes. I found this very disturbing as I paid to see the band. I have a bad hip and every time they left or returned I had to get up and down. By the end of the show I could hardly walk. I think they should cut the bar off once the show starts to keep people in their seats so everyone can enjoy the concert.
The music was good, the Band entertaining but the fans ruined it for myself and numerous other attendees. the inconsiderate fans made the tension at the concert very uncomfortable and basically ruined the concert
This show was on my bucket list and was supposed to see them at Sturgis in 2013 and show cancelled due to injury. this show was amazing. well worth every dime
Good solid music with a varity of hits and lesser known stuff.
This band came out strong and were energetic the whole time. The place was packed and the lead singer got everyone involved for sure. Great to see them mention both the USA and Canada Armed Forces and salute them. The piano and guitars were outstanding!! This was a great show
The band was very polished and played every song a Skynyrd fan could hope for ! Totally satisfied !
Why on earth did they do the encore...Freebird with all the lights on!!!!!!
