  • An Unforgettable Night

by Jedea on 2018-09-09Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first concert and I was not at all disappointed. Blackfoot, .38 Special, and ZZ Top were all amazing opening acts. Lynyrd Skynyrd was amazing and they played most of their hits. The sets were amazing from start to finish and I would recommend seeing any of these groups. I hope Skynyrd does at least one more round of tours again before calling it quits as I would love to see them again!

  • Sun Sets on Southern Rock

by Topfueler on 2018-08-26Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Songs from the South Land were plenty on this night. Opener Blackfoot began a 5 hour stomp and dance , followed by 38Special, and then the Texas Trio that is the one and only ZZ Top, sliding into the headline act Skynyrd. A feeling of a Farewell night was hanging over a loud and lively crowd. A romance of sorts to the band's rebellious spirit. Hitting all the material that has stood a test of time, standing up, even if some of it's most important creators no longer do.Sweet Home Alabama still has the ability to "pick people up when feeling blue" all these years later. The cheers were the loudest though for the show closer Free Bird, a euphoric anthem, a defiant declaration of the band's rebel spirit. The Street Survivors Farewell sings Red,White and Blue and flies an American flag and here in the Big Smoke TO, flew alongside our Red and White Maple Leaf forever. The night rocked with a distinctive swampy, feel-good rhythm boogie.

  • AWESOME!!

    by Cujo3131 on 2018-08-22Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

THEY KICKED BUTT!! All classic songs. The crowd wasn't as rowdy as the week before in buffalo but they made noise. Great light show. The Budweiser stage is still my favorite place to see a show. Great sound.

  • Such an awesome show

by Bigtravelfan on 2018-08-19Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

We could not believe the line up for the Skynyrd Farewell concert. From the opening act of Blackfoot, followed by another favourite, 38Special and then ZZTop, we knew we were up for a great night of entertainment. Each act kept upping the energy of the crowd and Lynyrd Skynyrd did not disappoint. Great tunes, excellent guitar riffs, and such a fun night.

I bought these tix for my husband for father's day expecting that Lynyrd Skynyrd would be highlight. However, with .38 Special and ZZ Top also in the line-up.... it was over the top. My husband took our three daughters to see it and they all had a great time!

  • .38 SPECIAL/ZZ TOP/SKYNYRD

    by TELECASTER64 on 2018-08-15Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Three of the best ROCK bands of the 70/80/90 &2000's. .38 Special although not the original line up was fantastic, played everything the crowd wanted to hear. ZZ TOP, what can you say, one of THE BEST trios in Rock. Played everything and more. Skynyrd, the ultimate Southern Rock band although only Gary Rossington remains they always hold true and play what the fans want. Pulling out Curtis Lowe was a treat along with Needle/Spoon. Hopefully this wasn't really a farewell tour and we'll see them like we did/do the WHO a few more times. Don't miss the show.

  • Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top was totally amazing.

by Twace on 2018-08-15Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I was not going to the show because I had other plans. Thankfully my plans fell thru and I bought a ticket last minute. One of the best concerts I've ever been too. I never buy merch but I definitely did this time so I can say I was at the farewell tour. Thanks for bringing back a bit of my youth.

  • Fantastic summer concert

    by Prin3ess on 2018-08-15Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Not alot of glitz and glam as per most rocking red neck concerts. Just great music, an excellent tribute to Johnny Van Zant and a reminder that these guys have been together for 31 years!

Wow what a show! 38 Special was great! ZZ top as a warm up band is unbelievable! They still can bring it and were spot on! They really got the crowd going !And then on top of it all Lynyrd Skynyrd.Sadly despite the fact there are few of the original members left this band can still rock!Their show was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster .Somber moments recalling those members of the band who have passed on mixed with hard driving rock ! It will be sad to think that was it for them but what a farewell. They went out on a high note and with class. A concert that I will never forget and I will cherish always .
