As Lynyrd Skynyrd approaches the 50th anniversary of the band's critically acclaimed debut album 'Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd' in 2023, they resonate as deeply with their multi-generational fan base today as when they first emerged out of Jacksonville, Florida in 1973. The lawn area was way oversold, crowded and thick with smoke of all sorts....not that this was not to be expected but it was certainly worse than anticipated and not enforced by security at all. Skynard was disappointing with too much American patriotism for me. They tried to do a Canada balancing act but it was too over the top. Also too much homage to past band members. Skynard Nation was cheesy...overall would not go to see this show again nor recommend it.....Free Bird the only worthwhile part of the show. You could feel the crowds energy deplete during the LS portion of the show...too bad.

The set lists were excellent, with the bands playing the song you would want to hear. Problem was, the sound was not good. Way too loud in our section, making it difficult to listen or hear any individual tones. Some of the guitar solos were lost or totally muddled. The engineers need to work on this - in today's age and technology, there is no excuse for poor sound that hides behind sheer volume.

Great Concert but loud!

The 1st was an unknown band,they were good but very loud. 38 special and ZZ TOP were also very good and I found them also unnecessarily too loud. Skynryd was fantastic, they were loud but not so loud as the other. For the other I had to get ear plugs and I noticed a lot of people had them, but Skynryd was not as screechy. They were fabulous. 38 special and ZZ Top were also excellent. I had never seen any of these groups and very happy that I did. The venue is fantastic!!! We were under cover in the 300 section, but it was a beautiful evening. Food and beer/wine are not cheap, but that's the same at any concert. Don't miss it!
