About

Madonna launched her debut tour in 1985 — The Virgin Tour — in the United States and Canada. Shortly thereafter, she toured the world for the first time, embarking in 1987 in support of Who's That Girl. Over the ensuing four decades, Madonna would ignite the world with the most controversial and dynamic pop shows ever mounted, selling out nearly every tour — in its entirety — in seconds. To date, Madonna has performed about 700 shows across 11 concert tours, generating over $1 billion in ticket sales, and is the highest-grossing female touring artist of all time.

    It was a long wait...

by Anonymous on 2012-09-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Madonna didn't arrive until 2.5 hours after the 8pm start. It was still a long wait since there was no pre-performance until the DJ came out at around 9:30pm to kick-off the show. Her new music was dark and violent, especially with all the guns. It was somewhat enjoyable that she played her old music, but the guns/violence/bloodshed was a bit too much. Saw that little kids attended the show....which was inappropriate for that audience.

    Madonna has Poor Scheduling

by rrroz on 2012-09-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

I was told that all events end before midnight so that commuters can catch the last trains. Instead MANY Madonna fans didn't end up seeing the final acts of her performance due to having to leave early in order to be able to get home. Having to had to watch the clock was very distracting to my enjoyment. Otherwise, Madonna was fab as always. Can't wait for the DVD so I can see how she finished!

    Madonna was so classless

by previousfan on 2012-09-18Air Canada Centre - Toronto

This was such a bad concert -- her voice was terrible, she was raunch for the sake of raunch, her continuous swearing, political agenda and extreme violence were all so uncalled for -- she really lowered her status in my opinion. She used to be a respected talent in the music world. Her concerts, even 4 years ago, were still fun and enjoyable..........I am sure she has lost her old fan base. I assume she is going for a new darker, edgier crowd. Should have been X rated as it is completely inappropriate for everyone!

Amazing show by Madonna. I especially enjoyed the theatrical aspect of it all from beginning to end. Best show I've ever seen.

Madonna's EGO is still growing !

by chicane on 2012-09-17Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Concert started way too late (10:30pm). She didn't perform enough of her classics and she didn't spend enough time on stage herself (too many long costume changes while her dancers killed time for her. She also preached to the fans about how to treat others and how to check your ego at the door. I didn't go to the concert to get lectured from the biggest hypocrite of them all! I went because my wife was a fan. Furthermore, her tickets prices were obscene. (but happy wife = happy life so what can a guy do?)

    Madonna Too Late

by purdyfine on 2012-09-15Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Madonna did not show up until 10:30 p.m. for an 8 p.m. show. No opening act, apart from a riduclous DJ playing nightclub jams for an ear-splitting hour. This is beyond inconsiderate to all of those fans who had to catch buses, trains or an early wake-up call for work. She was still going strong at midnight, when we and many others took our leave. The show itself was spectacular as theatre; considerably less so as music. The staging was extraordinary, and the multi-million dollar sets and gadgets were all used to great effect. We had obstructed view seating, but with the video screen, the angle wasn't too bad. However, the sound folks gave no consideration whatsoever to those people who were located side-stage of back-corner stage, as the speaker columns all pointed outward. The resulting sound was muffled, especially her vocals, making for an entirely unsatisfactory musical experience.

    Just say no to MDNA

by Ifuletmeplay on 2012-09-15ACC - Toronto

I saw Madonna twice and this was the most disappointing, brutal concert. She was terrible. I am a huge fan but after this concert I will never go again. She sang 5 of her hits and then no names from her new albums.

    Jumped the Shark

by Mr17Moir on 2012-09-15Air Canada Centre - Toronto

How do you explain something that was frankly a jumble of crap. Bad enough the show started at 10:15 - a full 2hrs15 mins late and withstood DJ Paul Oakenfold music that sounded pretty much the same (stick to the clubs). The show started with a dark & very disturbingly violent passages to little known songs. I saw people walk out in the first 30 minutes. It picked up a bit when she sang Express Yourself but quickly deteriorated into the muck. Her voice was severely auto tuned, the show was totally overproduced and never engaged the full audience (other than the ones in the mosh pit). It could have been a wonderful night if Madonna kept it simple and played the music, the hits that made her the star she is today. Unfortunately she was sold on the imagery and not the music. It wasn't fun at all, one of the worst concerts of all time and I've seen hundreds of them.

    Madonna is Incredible!

by CJBINFLIGHT on 2012-09-15Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Incredible show... I'm going to try and go see it again in New York in November with my sister. The only thing that really irked me was Madonna not starting her show until 10:20 pm or so. I felt that was way too long to wait- I did enjoy the DJ's music... but I had a 7:05 am check in for a flight the next morning.... I took my friend who is also a flight attendant- we had both flown that day and we both had to be at the airport very early the next morning. My friend actually left after " Like A Virgin". I didn't get home until 1:30. I was exhausted but I guess it was worth it!

    The Best Concert Ever

by Braxton on 2012-09-15Air Canada Centre - Toronto

I have been to every Madonna concert. I think this was one of her best. It was my first time purchasing a V.I.P ticket . it cost $1000. I was disappointed that the "front row was at the side of the cat walk and she only walked it 5 times. The stage has a pit in the middle of it, that is very close to the main stage so all the people in there are actually closer then we were. I believe it was general admission and not sure how those tickets where sold . I am a huge Madonna fan and loved every minute of it. She came on 2.5 hours late so I can see how some people would be very disappointed The V.I.P packages are very expensive but I would say that this is the only way I would got to a concert again. It was very organized.

Madonna - Arrogant and well past her prime

by DavyD on 2012-09-15Air Canada Centre - Toronto

First, she shows up at 10:30pm for an 8pm show. Then proceeds to preach her politics at everyone, concluding with the fact that we have to set aside our egos because we are all the same. Perhaps that message would be better received if she didn't have the arrogance to keep fans waiting for 2.5 egos because after all, she is Madonna and the plebian masses can wait for her. Rediculous. The show, once it began, was riddled with very graphic and disturbingly violent imagery. If she is not over the fact that her ex Guy Ritchie dumped her, that's her problem. We, the masses, don't need to be subjected to violent imagery of her shooting her dancers in the head with blood splatter all over the screens and singing "Bang I shot my lover in the head"

    Madonna...time to retire!

by Fitinthenorth on 2012-09-15Air Canada Centre - Toronto

After being to three other Madoona concernts, this was; by far, the most disappointing. The first set was far too viloent. She's lost her "taste" for the quality of music. For an artist who claims she's just that, it certainly wasn't exemplified in her show. Also, when you start 90 minutes late...the audience already has a sour taste in their mouths. Remember, to afford the ticket to her show, we have to work! Starting a show at 10:30 and finisihing after midnight, is not the way to win the "professional" audience. Mind you, if you took the next day off...no problem. It was also the first show I've been to where there was no encore. It was, "good night Toronto." The show was over. I certainly won't be going to another Madoona concert in my lifetime.
