Great show however Madonna did not hit the stage till 1030. 2 and half hours after it said it would start
I give the show a thumbs up despite the fact she didn't appear until 10:30pm which is when most shows wrap up...I'd give it a 5/5 if she started on time...so, overall, I give the show a 4/5 stars which is still pretty good...
I have been a Mad fan since the 80's I have most of her past CD's, never seen her ever before perform live, always wanted to but never did, until this time. I was disappointed with her performance, the theatrical part was ok at times(the language not classy), when accompanied with her old stuff. At this stage in her life she should not be trying so hard to keep re inventing herself. She is an 80's icon and I love her for that, that is what sells, not trying to keep up with brittney spears or Lady Gaga, lets remember her as the Queen of pop. The prices of the tickets made me expect way more from Madonna than what was delivered. She was really late performing which did not make the show anymore likable. People do have to work the next day, and drive hours to see her! I hope she reads her reviews!!!!
Madonna put on a great show! We had a 2 hour wait from the time on the ticket until she came on stage but she made it well worth the wait.
Concert itself was amazing, she was amazing, she was my hero. The tickets we had were on the side of the stage and I feel like I missed so much.
After sitting for 2 1/2 hours in the rain, listening to repetitive, monotonous, headache-inspiring "DJ" music, Madonna finally surfaced and performed a well rehearsed, mechanical, scripted, unimaginative, and relatively dull 90 minutes of music. She played some of her classics, which the crowd clearly was there to hear, as well as some of her new music, which of course was totally expected. New music was okay, with the notable exception of "Gang Bang" - uh, Madonna - you are a 54 year-old woman - you looked and sounded like someone in a full-on mid-life crisis performing such a juvenile song - you should be embarrassed. Otherwise, completely as expected - no surprises, no disappointments, just like watching a series of Madonna videos strung together.
Madonna is with no argue the Queen of Pop. Hopefully I will have that amount of energy and spirit when in my fifties! The lights, sound, choreographies, costumes , etc were AWESOOME! In terms of the playlist I would have liked a show a bit more upbeat... it was kind of "dark" but of course that is up to Madonna's Production to choose. Anyone who doubts about going to see this amazing performer should not doubt AT ALL and just go see it. Tickets might be expensive but they are worth it 100% !!!
Awesome!! Great Concert....Even better in NYC @ Yankee Stadium!
This was a big disappointment as she was promoting her new album and I didn't know the music. I will wait to see her greatest hits tour if she ever does a concert again. I've seen Lady Gaga and Katy Perry and the dancing and theatrical parts of their shows was amazing... Madonnaa.... not so much. I wasn't even sure if she was really singing as it appeared she was lip singing a couple of times too.
Madonna rocked the TD Garden with her MDNA tour! She was perfection. Loved every minute and worth every penny!
Her past tours were SO much better. I love her no matter what!! And will continue to see her next tours!!!!
Madonna is the queen! I saw her concert in Toronto last time around and picked up tickets right away to see her again. She is so amazing, her singing and costumes were phenomenal. Totally toally recommended!
Just bought my ticket for this tour and looking forward to my 4th Madonna concert. Madonna never fails to exceed expectations. Her performance is above and beyond a "concert". Those of you that are expecting her to perform all her old hits will be disappointed, that's not why she goes on tour, the point is to boost album sales for her NEW material...so buy the album, and THEN go to the show. :-) If you aren't prepared to buy the album and then go to the show, that's ok, because that helps those of us that are REAL fans who buy the albums get the best seats, rather than those that are just trying to see a "good show" :-)
Amazing concerts and great atmosphere. She has great energy and I would love to see her perform more often
I saw Madonna the last time she performed in Vancouver. She came on stage an hour late, and quit when the clock struck 11 pm. At times she was off key, and she barely touched any of the songs which originally made her popular. Her tickets aren't cheap and I felt ripped off. See ol' Madge again? Not in a heart beat.
Saw her 3 times in concert: 2004, 2006, (In US) and 2008 (here in VA) and each time it was better than the next. She puts on the best concerts I have ever seen and I am not going to miss this one.
I have seen a variety of artists and bands over the span of almost 200 concerts and I can honestly say without a doubt, Madonna is THE ultimate performer. Her shows are 2 hour dance parties bursting with hits, vibrant energy, spectacular staging, and immense talent (her, her band and her dancers). Her tours define the concert experience, and you can't help leave the venue feeling euphoric. And despite what people think, she absolutely sings live! Do yourself a favour and buy tickets to see Madonna in concert. You will not be disappointed!
I was really excited to see Madonna as this was her first time performing in Vancouver, but I left the show feeling disappointed. She was very late coming on stage and her set list included very few of the songs that built her career. I know artists like to keep things fresh, but I expected to hear more of her classics (she had a lot of ground to make up for her Vancouver fans!). Overall, I felt the performance was a lack-luster money grab in a venue that was too large for her stage. It felt like she didn't really care to perform or be in Vancouver that night. Her recent SuperBowl performance was much better than this concert, but I don't think I'll be buying tickets for her next show. She gets an extra 'star' just for being Madonna.
I haven't missed a concert tour since 1993. She is the un disputed queen of pop!! and NEVER disapoints
Was disappointed when I saw her in Vancouver. Did her scheduled 2 hr show and looked at the clock in the venue and once it was over it was over. NO encores, her performance felt angry. Wouldn't go spend the money to ever see her again.
