To start...in a whole it was an awesome experience seeing such a dynamic interstellar squad. The atmosphere was amazing and uplifting. I sat in one of he first few rows in the upper deck and the view was perfect. If I have one negative it would be that the start time should have been about 30 mins later. With all the road construction and the fact that Toronto Indy had closed one of the main roads made the commute from Kitchener a 3 hour drive instead of one hour. We only missed 10 mins of the first half so it wasnt too bad. In saying that I still had a great time and hope to see them back in Toronto in the near future.
Thoroughly enjoyed the game. Great seats at Rogers Ctre. Would not hesitate to attend another.
Although I have attended professional soccer games before, this was the highest level of soccer that I have seen live. The skill level displayed by the players, both as individuals and as a team, was unbelievable. When I asked my teenage daughter, who plays soccer, what she thought of the skill level, she said that she didn't even know that level of skill existed. The game was very exciting with lots of action even though it was only a friendly. I'm glad the Rogers Centre put in real turf for the game. We need to have more opportunities to see this level of soccer in Canada.
It was a fantastic night. Seeing legends like Sir Alex Ferguson, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Edwin Van Der Sar was great. It was my first time seeing Manchester United in person, it was a dream come true. And with a 3-1, they didnt disappoint. It was worth every penny. Too bad they don't come to Toronto more often.
The match was good, but I wish Ryan Giggs had started the 2nd half, if only to play 10 minutes or so. I couldn't see much of him from my lower seat, but if he had played in the 2nd half, he would have been positioned in front of me! :-) Hats off to Man u also for allowing Berbatov to play the entire match. He played well and set up other potential goals. As a Man U fan, I appreciated the walk around the field by the team to show its gratitude for our support. Well done, lads!
Manchester United is my favorite soccer team since childhood, and seeing them play live is like a dream come true for me.
Match was enjoyable, good pace 1st half belonged to Man Utd. 2nd half saw Celtic put in Samarias who gave the team & supporters a much needed boost. Venue was a little disappointing because of the spotty crowd 39,000 fans but too many empty seats! Overall I thouroughly enjoyed the match from start to finish. Was very impressed with the Man Utd side's show of appreciattion at the end of the match....
I was looking forward to this for weeks but the anticipation did not even come close to reality of the actual event. Watching the boys in red play was fantastic and I wish I could go watch them play every week.
It is simple, fantastic match, excellent attention and security. My fellow fans were amazing. Please repeat this kind of event.
The prices charged for a friendly fixture are ridiculous.
Loved it! The facilities at the Rogers Center were great! The view was superb. I am a big Man U fan and they didn't disappoint. Most of their stars except Rooney, Owen and Ferdinand took the field. Celtic, especially after Samaras came in, gave them a good fight. In the end Man U won it 3-1. Overall, a fantastic experience. Would love it do it all over again.
the atmosphere was incredible and the level of play was exceptional... berbatov was world class and had a beautiful goal and set up another beauty... anyone in the states reading this and you have a chance too watch them on tour within the next couple weeks please go!!! this is truly how soccer should be played!!!
Love United so was always going to love the event. I just wanted to put a note as I know some people are holding back from getting tickets because some players are not here for the tour. Firstly the squad, whoever maybe missing, still plays the classic Man U game quick and flowing and if you like football you should just enjoy watching the game good football is good football. Berbatov looks great, Scholes and Giggs still often setting the space adn a great atmosphere. Also props to Van der Saar for hanging around giving out autographs to the fans.
Great to see Manu U and Celtic play in Toronto! Very sour taste left by Rogers Centre. Arrived at match half-hour prior to kick-off. Had to get in very long lineup to get into Gate 5, a line that kept getting longer by the minute. Rogers staff were unhelpful and unsympathetic. We were not allowed to enter through any other gate, which made no sense as there were no lineups elsewhere. It took 35 minutes to get in - we missed the kick-off and first 5 minutes of the the game. Not sure about the 1000 people behind us. This was truly bad venue management! As usual Rogers, as with other sports venues and owners, count on the good manners of the Canadian public not to kick up much of a fuss. We will not attend again unless there is a change in venue and venue management.
The Match was good but the tickets were too expensive. I paid $165 a person but expected a much better show and better seats. The stadium diagram online doesn't reflect real life. Also, for such a match, I expected a packed stadium, but there was less than 40 thousand attending. Soccer needs a very big push in Canada. Canada is ranked #100 under FIFA..
Skydome had 4 ticket people at gate 11. The line up was unacceptable and we missed the opening kickoff. Typical of Toronto venues though.
My first live professional football match and I absolutely LOVED IT!!!!! Do it again!!!! Please!!!
Manchester United game was awesome! Best ever seeing Ryan Giggs close up. Food prices too high but otherwise, it was an excellent evening.
