  • Manic is Fantastique

by Audge on 2023-01-06Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Originally came for Manics but very glad I got to see Suede too. Anyway, this is a review for the welsh men so let's cut to the chase. When Manics made their entrance on stage, I think I fell in love all over again? no literally I could feel my heart buzzing like a million butterflies. Seeing them live in toronto was truly my highlight. You know, I felt like I was hallucinating at this point cause I never believed they would ever come to Canada....Cause we do lack fans/publicity for you guys, I get it. My only suggestion, or question is why don't they ever play anything for THB? Suicide Alley? would be a fun throw back too. you guys deserve the world and I still can't stop daydreaming. See you guys in the UK at some point (hopefully smaller venues and not another festival) and hope Nicky will release another solo album! Okay, that's it for me xx

  • Amazing!

by Maz on 2022-12-04Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Suede’s frontman was great and he had an amazing stage presence. He would go down to the crowd and hug them! They played several hits and his voice was great. I didn’t know the Manics’ music as well but they showed a solid performance. Unfortunately the seats in the gallery are tiny and it was very uncomfortable throughout the show.

  • Awesome

    by Ct12 on 2022-11-29Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Listened to them in my teens in the 90s and love them and suede. Very good concert and great sound at Massey Hall.

  • Amazing Suede Show

by Monica on 2022-11-28Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Suede was amazing and Manics were good. Would have preferred open floor for this type of concert.

  • Suede rocked the house

by Christian on 2022-11-28Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Suede was unreal. Brett anderson sounded as good as when i saw them in 1993. Manic sounded great aswell. I just wish the order had been reversed and manic opened and suede headlined at massey. I witnessed a number of people leave after suede was done.

  • Worth every Minute of the Wait

by Wally on 2022-11-27Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Two of my favourite bands together on one bill...one of whom hasn't been in Canada for over 25 years. As the title states, it was worth the wait. Suede sounded, and had energy, like it was 1997. Unbelievable. The set, the performance, everything. One of the best gigs I've seen. And then came the Manics. Admittedly not quite the same energy (hard to replicate when the frontman also plays an instrument), but they looked like they were having a blast up there - and the sound completely reflected that. One of the best setlists I've ever heard. Hit after hit, played with the same vigour and intensity of their early days. It was a special performance all around, and I'm thankful to have been there to witness it. Fantastic.

  • Last Chance to See Two Brilliant Bands

by Puzzlecat on 2022-11-27Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I came to see the Manics, but Suede won the day! Brett is an age-defying performer, lithe, athletic and sensual, who brought the crowd to their feet in seconds, and kept them there their whole set. And while I’ve been wanting to see the Manics since ‘92, and they played a wonderful array of hits, and James Dean Bradfield is a performer for the ages—but energy-wise, his band did suffer in comparison with Suede. Both bands stated that this was likely their last time in North America, which brought a touch of melancholy to the whole proceedings. But still, a wonderful, wonderful show.

  • Great concert and venue

  • Excellent

by Nic on 2022-11-27Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

  • SUEDE WAS THE CONCERT OF 2022

by Griz on 2022-11-27Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Manic were great and did an amazing set. Suede blew the roof off of Massey Hall. Not my first time seeing Suede so I knew the energy they would bring. My friends seeing them for the 1st time, still are in disbelief and want to see them again sooner than later. Suede, the concert of 2022
